This has to be one of the best place to get Thai food. The portion is perfect! The service is amazing. We also order the drunk noodles I think that's what it's call, the pho, fry rice, and shrimp tom yum soup. The price is kinda too pricey but it's worth it.

Red curry is my test at any Thai restaurant. I love it! I ordered red curry pork. The curry was delicious. The veggies great but the pork was extremely tough. Very disappointing. The lunch also came with sticky rice and veggie egg roll. The egg roll was mostly potato. Not interesting to me. The sticky rice was spot on. I'll try this restaurant again though. Very clean, service great.

I had stopped by to pick up some dinner. When I was leaving my front bumper got caught on the parking curb and I didn't realize it when I parked initially, leading to my bumper getting torn off completely (don't judge me lol). I had gone back inside and asked if I could get some help. I felt bad because it was kind of busy. The owner Wilson came out and helped me get it and attempt to get it in my car but ultimately it didn't fit. He reassured me it seemed to be an easy fix and what I would need to get it back together. My husband ended up coming with a bigger car to get the front bumper and bringing it home. I'm so grateful for Wilson for taking time and not making me feel like a bother even though it was busy and my problem wasn't his problem but he came to help without any hesitation. When I got home the food was all still hot after all of the delay. I ordered over $120 worth of food and it was all delicious. The red curry I added potatoes to it was my favorite. But what made my experience even better this time is Wilson's kindness and comfort. I will always support this business because you get great tasty food and you're supporting a genuinely great family business. Thank you Wilson.

Thai Wok and Cafe is amazing. The food is delicious and cooked perfectly. I've tried a number of dishes here. All of them were very good. I've tried Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, Tom Kha, Papaya Salad, and Pad See Ew. Normally, I have at least one dish that I always order. I don't have a favorite here - it's all good! The flavors are authentic and well balanced. The staff is friendly and they take a lot of pride in their food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is always clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love coming here and can't wait for my next trip.

This is one of my favorite quick-and-easy Thai places! We ordered our food for pick up. The lady was very nice on the phone and it wasn't hard at all to place it. When we walked into the establishment, there were a few people there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was calm and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking was easy to find up front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of open seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the pad Thai, drunken noodles, and pad see ew for entrees. Each was delicious! Additionally, the food had to have just been cooked because when we got the food it was freshly hot, which was a very pleasant experience. For the Pad See Ew combination, some of the shrimps were weirdly small, so it made it hard to remove the tails from them. But outside of that, everything was perfect. The chicken wings are always my favorites. They are crispy and sweet, and very well cooked. The fried tofu was also cooked to perfection, just the right amount of crispiness! The sauce that comes with it is also DELISH! The banana samosas were a wonderful alternative to their mango sticky rice which is served in the summer. The samosas were beautifully wrapped and fried to a perfect crisp. I was worried the chocolate sauce would be too overpowering but it was perfect! Definitely does taste like a crispy banana with some hints of chocolate, nothing too sweet or too crazy, just right.

Yes, yes, and yes. Tonight we tried the Thai Papa Salad, Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and the Crab Fried Rice. Everything was wonderful. The papaya salad was the perfect blend of crunchy and tart and spicy. The dressing used was perfect. The salad had the perfect amount of heat. The chicken pad Thai was so good. Our sat on the table for a little while because we were all talking, but no matter how long it's sit the noodles were perfect. The texture did not change. The coconut soup was so good. That was my first time having it and the entire time I was eating it I kept thinking I would definitely have that again. The crab fried rice was filled with chunks of crab. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean, the staff was so nice, the shift came out to say hi to everyone. He was so nice and is truly talented when it comes to cooking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restrooms were clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very attentive and answered all of our questions. I will 100% be going again in the very near future. There is so many more things I would love to try on the menu especially their milk teas.

I was here last night with the Yelp event and had to come back to order more for my family. I got an order of the crab fried rice which I had tried last night and loved the real crab meat and flavor. Wished it had a few more veggies in it. I also ordered chicken fried rice which had a nice portion of meat in it. Chicken green Curry was a medium spice and I thought that was perfect. The chicken and veggie amounts were perfect. And the last thing I ordered was the Panang Chicken Curry, Mild which to me is a little similar in taste as the green curry and was also very delicious. My parents were pretty happy with the choices. I'll have to get some Pad Thai and try some items with Tofu. Maybe next week!

Thai Wok & Cafe is the perfect casual spot to get Thai food in west Fresno. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a spacious interior with plenty of seating (and it's always clean), everything is made-to-order, and the staff themselves are really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered their Pad Thai with beef, and I've also had the chance to try their crispy pork belly appetizer and strawberry green tea with lychee jelly. The Pad Thai with beef was fantastic, and hit all the right flavor notes. Juicy, hearty beef topping perfectly-chewy rice noodles in a slighty sweet and salty sauce. The crispy pork belly was delicious - I'm not sure what the green sauce they serve it with is, I think it's some sort of chili sauce, but that just added everything that the pork belly needed. It was a little plain by itself, but still good. The strawberry green tea was really the cherry (or I should say, "strawberry") on top. One of the managers, Wilson, told me they actually use a sugarcane-based syrup, and that really made a difference. It tasted a lot less artificial, and I honestly crave it a lot despite living across town. (Got to try their passion fruit tea later!) I got to chat with some of the other staff, and they are kind and take good care of their patrons. I wish this place all the success - they are a great addition to the west Fresno food scene!

First of all, the service was wonderful. The owner was genuine and we even saw his cousin who was the chef. The staff were so generous and accommodating too. Then I had chicken satay which had a smoky flavor with a hint of mint taste. The papaya salad was fresh and bright with a lime dressing (very refreshing to eat!). Then I had Tom Kha which had a satisfying coconut flavor with sourness from lime I think. It had shrimp, mushroom, and tomato wedges in it that gave it such a unique flavor profile. I really want to go back and eat that again. The pad Thai noodles were my favorite! The noodles were chewy and delicious. The flavor was spot on. The fried rice was also really good. The portion sizes were impressive. I finished the feast with strawberry green tea. It tasted freshly made because the fruit tea taste was the perfect finish to the incredible meal.

We came in at 5 pm and the place was empty. We were greeted right when we walked in, seated and provided a menu. Our server was really sweet and helpful. We ended up ordering their fried tofu, Beef salad, beef padseeew, and the Thai chicken wings. Everything came out at a timely manner. Fried Tofu - 2.5/5 - Needs more flavoring. Maybe a dash of salt and pepper would've done it. For the sauce, there was a very strong vinegar taste. I would've preferred it with just the sweet and sour sauce. Beef salad - 4/5 The dish was very good. There just were too much onions for my liking. Once you get to the bottom of the dish, the sauce becomes very overpowering and salty. Thai Chicken Wing - 5/5 - this dish came out crispy with the right amount of sauce and flavoring. The chicken itself was still moist. Beef PadSeeEw- 4/5 - This dish came out last. It was good but needed a bit more flavoring. We loved that you can taste the "char" in the dish since most places here in fresno, you can't. We like our PadSeeEw with a bit of spice so we requested for some chili flakes. They brought us their trays of spice and vinegar.

I really wanted to enjoy the tofu Pad Thai here, but unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. The flavor was unbalanced - way too tangy and overly sweet, which overpowered any of the traditional savory elements you'd expect from Pad Thai. On top of that, it was excessively peanut buttery. I usually prefer a more subtle peanut undertone, but this tasted like straight-up liquid peanut butter, which made the entire dish feel heavy and one-dimensional. The tofu itself was disappointingly plain, with no real seasoning or sear to help it stand out. It felt more like they tossed the tofu in afterwards because it did not taste like it had any sauce nor seasoning on it. Overall, the execution just didn't come together for me. If you're into strong peanut sauces and don't mind a sweeter, tangier twist, you might enjoy it though! Service was average and very casual ambiance.

The Thai Wings were a delicious appetizer. It was crunchy, flavorful, & moist. It was cooked fresh & generously tossed in the sauce. The Chicken Pad Thai was tasty & savory. It didn't have anything special that stood out about it, but it definitely hits the spot when you're craving some Pad Thai. The portion was big enough to share between 2 people, along with the appetizer. Overall, I would return to try more items from their menu!

Service was EXCELLENT! I use a wheelchair & they graciously accommodated me. They set up the table by pulling away the chairs & since COVID is still real for me, they sat us further away from other ppl. Plus, our waitress was very attentive. ORDER: Eggrolls: crispy & tasty. Larb Salad: soooo good! Very moist meat & well seasoned. Pad Thai: good, but a tad too sweet. Add lime & some Larb salad juice & it was great. Drunken Noodles: really good! I have to say I am loyal to my beloved Thai spot across town. I was recommended this spot but a few friends. I tried the Pad Thai I was surprised by the portion it was a bit small compared to other places. But it was so good. The flavor is more on the sweeter side so I did use a bit more lime . But I would come back for this . I tried the Panang curry which is my favorite Thai dish. It was flavorful a good mild spice level. The ambience here is very chill and not super busy. I have been here twice and the food here is overall amazing. I got a spicy red curry that was really amazing (amazing portions). Trying the pad Thai and other dishes were also 100% worth it and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The pad Thai was amazing and the vegetable dishes were also spiced to perfection. Let me start by saying I love Thai food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very clean & has a cute aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a party of 8 & ordered around 11 food items varying from salads, appetizers & entrees. I was a bit surprised to see how little food they serve with the prices they charge. The Thai Beef salad, papaya salad & chicken larb had little protein compared to the amount of veggies served. I love onion but the amount served in the larb was extensive, I had to pick them out. The pad see ew & mango sticky rice was also VERY salty. As for the other dishes we ordered like the crispy pork, Thai wings, pad Thai, yellow curry, and crab fried rice, the flavors were there, just smaller portions than I'm used to when ordering in Socal. There were only 2 servers but they were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, a good experience, just a bit lackluster. read more

I went back for my second visit and asked for recommendations this time - Last time we had Chicken Yellow Curry and the Drunken Noodles that were amazingly good. For this visit, I took the gentleman's suggestion of the Panang Curry and oh my gosh, It was even better than their yellow curry! I didn't think that could be possible. 1) Papaya salad: 10/10. It was refreshing and light! I would get this again! 2) Pad Thai: 4/10. The sauce was too runny for me. Also, I got tired of the taste after a couple of bites. 3) Laab/Larb: 4/10. They only have chicken and pork. I wish that they had beef because it would have been way better! However, the taste started to get tiring after a couple of bites. I wish there was more larb seasoning however. 4) Stick Rice: 8.5/10. It was steaming hot when they gave it to us! But the rice was a nice texture. 5) Overall service: 9/10. Less wait time, fast service, and customer service was awesome! read more

Take out order, food was just ok. I compare everything to Thai Country in Clovis. Which is 5 stars. I ordered a 10 for spicy chicken curry. Maybe. It was a 5 at best and very watery. Good flavor, but missed the mark on spice and texture. read more

After being on the hunt for pineapple fried rice & egg rolls in party trays (and at a reasonable price!) I found Thai Wok online just in time for our Tiki baby sprinkle! Having never tried it, we for sure took a risk by ordering enough for 50 people. But boy oh boy was it a HIT! We still are being told how great the rice & egg rolls were. Having never eaten anything else from the restaurant the following weekend, we decided to go for dinner and it did not disappoint. One of the highlights was the water they brought my son with the sealed boba lid and his favorite character on it, Baymax! They made my toddler's night extra special. They made ordering vegan easy as well. A calm, clean space and reasonable prices. We will be coming back, and often! read more

Finally got to dine in! got to sit down for lunch and get a taste of a few of the popular items. Got 3 dishes and a drink that came out to a total of $50. SO much pad see ew in the dish, def a bang for a buck. Always love my Thai wings here! and finally tried the pork jerky as well, love the tangy sauce it comes with. one would think the pork jerky is tough, but its actually very nice textures as finger food. kitchen service was super fast and theyre very attentive and willing to recommend menu items for any customers with questions. read more

8/6/24 Hot and New! Getting lunch! The worker was kind. Drunken noodles with chicken, tofu & mixed vegetables. The worker also asked what kind of spicy and very spicy ordered. The worker said it would by ready in 10 minutes. Arrived to pick up. Greeted by nice worker who knew of my order and had it ready. Paid for it with greets from others leaving too! Wishing them the good luck since they just opened! =) Restaurant is nice. Small, but still great! Seating inside if you want. Lunchtime! Order split! My portion was Really Great! I wish I could give this family owned eatery more than 3.0 - 3.5 stars but I can't. Here's why: Greeted with friendly Hi upon entering. I ordered the Pad See Ew (14 buck$) with chicken (to go) as they don't serve pork, the only proteins offered are chicken, beef, and shrimp. And, no, tofu and vegies do not count as protein. At home the aroma of the PSE made my mouth water. However, my first bite was noting but sad as the noodles were mushy, as in mushy overcooked noodles. Stirring down towards the bottom of the container noodles were a bit firmer but still overcooked. Decent amount (not a whole lot) of sliced carrots and broccoli and shredded chicken. No bean sprouts, no scrambled egg, no garlic. Truly a skimpy PSE, imo. Portions is a good amount not huge. Flavor wise, not bad but not great either. Received a nice smile and thank you once she handed me my order. The nice pleasantry won't bring me back to try other dishes as I'm afraid they too may be overcooked. read more

OK, this was probably one of the friendliest restaurants I've been to in a while. Everyone here provided such outstanding service. While the restaurant is small, everything is really clean. I really enjoyed myself here, definitely recommend giving these guys a chance. Especially since they can only go up from here. I went here on a Monday night with two friends. We were immediately greeted by two very kind women. We started with a green Thai tea. It was very nice. it was like a lighter Matcha style iced tea. It had great flavored, and it was just really tasty. We ordered Thai wings, drunken noodles, Thai chili basil with rice, mango sticky rice, and a banana samosa. The Thai wings were my absolute favorite. They were lightly sweetened, with good flavor, and had a nice crunch. My friends had never had Thai wings before, and they went crazy for them. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, and still moist on the inside. The drunken noodles were also good. The noodles were not overcooked, had decent flavor, and the mixture of beef chicken and shrimp was nice. My only complaint is the choice of veggies; I wish there were more, and perhaps bamboo or bean sprouts. The Thai chili basil had great flavor, but the meat was a little bit overcooked and chewy. But the presentation, and the flavors were quite tasty. The mango sticky rice was delicious. To me, this was a little less sweet than I'm used to, but I actually really liked it. You can't go wrong with some coconut milk, sweet rice, and perfectly right mango. The banana samosas were my least favorite. In fact, no one really likes them. We all agreed that they lacked flavor and could've been been much better. It was essentially just banana in a wrapper, friend, with some chocolate sauce on top. The banana didn't even taste seasoned. This could've been so much better if they would've added some butter and salt and maybe cinnamon to the banana mixture, and served it with caramel instead of chocolate sauce. Overall, this dessert was just bland and not worth the price. All things considered, for a new business, this place is well on its way to becoming a wonderful restaurant that would happily revisit. read more

Finally real Asian food on my side of town! I've came here twice this week already. They're barely having their pre-opening, but service has been nothing short of amazing. I was able to call in my order and pick up my food within 10-15 minutes. The interior has very modern furniture, it was bright and welcoming. The first time, I ordered chicken wings and tofu and the second time, I ordered chicken wings, egg rolls and papaya salad. The tofu and egg rolls were just okay. The chicken wings on the other hand both times was amazing and super addicting! Honestly probably the best chicken wings I've had at any Thai restaurant in Fresno/Clovis. I'm normally a Lao style papaya salad kind of gal, but their Thai style papaya salad was so refreshing! I also love that they add spring mix instead of cabbage. Overall, I'm so happy to finally have some good Asian food on this side of town and will definitely be returning again and again. read more

From my first visit, I noticed a strong sense of community, as many patrons seemed familiar with the staff and greeted them warmly, which speaks to the cafe's welcoming environment. We ordered the drunken noodles and fried tofu. The drunken noodles were delicious, packed with flavor, and included a generous portion of meat without being overwhelmed by vegetables--a perfect balance. On the other hand, the fried tofu was somewhat underwhelming. While the portion size was generous, with about 16 pieces for a reasonable price, the taste was bland, and the accompanying sweet peanut sauce was just okay. I recommend asking for a side of fish sauce with chilis; it elevates the tofu significantly and adds a much-needed kick. The staff were kind, attentive, and offered great recommendations, making me eager to return and try other dishes. Best little Thai food place I've tried in a long time. Everything was delicious including their boba tea and Thai tea. Definitely recommend. The shrimp is the best in town I've had in a while. I did order the drunken noodles combo , it was delicious!! Didn't get a picture. Girls loves the fried rice they also recommend it. I will have to visit soon to take my husband. Because of how you have to get in the shopping area for Gem of Thailand it's literally in the back and the back in the back of the shopping area smaller place nearby Costco. Myself preferably I like going to places that are accessible to enter not difficult. We enjoy the food the prices were reasonable. The staff was super helpful to assist me even offered me a glass of water while I was waiting for my takeout. Check out Gem of Thailand located off of North Abbey.

It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !

I recently stopped by Thai Wok & Café for lunch, and it exceeded my expectations. I couldn't resist ordering my go-to Thai dish, Pad See Ew with beef, paired with a pork egg roll appetizer. Both were served fresh and piping hot, with generous portions that left me feeling fully satisfied and with enough left over for lunch for my husband the next day, too. The Pad See Ew was flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and tender beef, easily rivaling some of the best Thai food I've had in any city (and I seek Thai restaurants out whenever I travel because it's amongst my favorite cuisines to enjoy). Thai Wok & Café also offers a variety of fruit teas, smoothies, slushies, and milk teas, complete with fun add-ins like popping boba--my personal favorite. On my way out, I grabbed a couple of fruit iced teas for my coworker and me. The drinks were refreshing, and the cute cups and to-go bags added a delightful touch to the experience (really! It was one of the first times in my life I can genuinely say I had the thought "oh this is just delightful!"). The atmosphere at Thai Wok & Café is another highlight. The restaurant has been freshly remodeled, featuring sleek black booth seating on one side and tables on the other, giving it a modern, clean, and inviting feel. Despite being in their early weeks--they just opened on August 1st--the service was on point, and the food came out quickly. 5/5 Stars - An Unforgettable Find on the Way Home from Yosemite! I stumbled upon this restaurant while driving back from Yosemite to LA, and I'm so glad I did--it exceeded all my expectations! The dining area was clean and modern, and the food's presentation and ingredient quality were outstanding. Honestly, the flavors here rival (if not surpass) some of the best Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. Highlights? The Thai tea was the best I've ever had--rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The Tom Kha Chicken tasted just like my grandma's recipe, with that comforting, aromatic depth. And the egg rolls? Packed with so much flavor, they didn't even need sauce! We ended with the mango sticky rice, which was so delicious it disappeared before I could snap a photo. The staff was friendly, the quality was top-notch, and the authenticity of the flavors blew me away. By the time our food arrived, the place was packed with a line out the door--so I'd recommend calling ahead or making a reservation, especially on weekends. I finally tried Thai Wok & Cafe and I'm so happy I did! I got seated right away and ordered super quick, which for me is a huge plus. I started with the pork egg rolls and omg they were delicious! Super crunchy, hot, and just really good. I also got the chicken potstickers and those came out perfectly crispy, exactly how I like them. For my mains, I tried the chicken Pad See Ew and the noodles were the perfect color and tasted amazing. I also had the chicken yellow curry and that one was honestly so flavorful and so tasty! I really enjoyed it. They recommended the spicy basil fried rice, and I'm so glad they did because that dish was fantastic! The basil flavor was so good, and I'd never had anything like it before. Definitely a new favorite. This place has plenty of seating inside, and while I was there a ton of people were picking up phone orders, so you know it's popular. Thai Wok & Cafe is my default answer whenever anyone asks for a Thai recommendation in Fresno. Has been for a while now. The pad thai is really good, like legitimately good not just "good for Fresno" good. The drunken noodles are my personal order every time and they nail the heat level, you can actually customize spice and they respect whatever you ask for. Too many places just make everything the same regardless. The bubble tea is a nice bonus. Good variety and it pairs well if you want something to sip on while you eat or take to go. Space is clean and simple, nothing fancy but comfortable. Service is always efficient and friendly. I've done both dine in and takeout and both experiences have been smooth. Its on Shaw so super easy to get to from basically anywhere in Fresno. Prices are totally reasonable, portions are filling. Honestly its just reliable and really tasty. When I don't know what I want for dinner I end up here and I'm never disappointed. read more

Initially, I thought the prices were a bit steep, but the generous portions quickly changed my mind--it turned out to be an incredible value.
