Thaibodia Bistro has become a favorite place. We love Julie, and this time Julie's mother waited on us - she's so sweet and attentive. The spring rolls and fresh tofu rolls were very good. The Tom Kha Soup from Thaibodia has become a favorite of mine - wonderful flavor. The ginger chicken has great flavor. The variety of teas are fun & amazingly good - Thai Tea and Brown Sugar Assam Milk Tea with Boba. Love Thaibodia!

Really nice little place! The restaurant is small but makes up with its coziness. We came for dinner and ordered the chicken satay, Tom Kha soup, and pineapple fried rice. The menu offered a lot of options for reasonable prices compared to other restaurants in the area. The lady server was nice and quick too and our food came quickly. Would come back again!

I have passed this place so many times and I am so glad I finally tried it. We opted to eat inside the restaurant, but it seems like they do a lot of takeout orders as you can order at a kiosk. There's probably less than 10 tables inside so I can see why people would order takeout. All the dishes we ordered were fabulous. The service was also so great. Our server really took care of us, refilling our waters consistently and even packaging our leftovers! This might be my new go to when I'm craving Thai or Cambodian.

Highlights: * Quick service * Food arrived quickly * Delicious Thai food Context: Saturday night, around 7:30 Not too busy when we arrived though somehow got more crowded as the evening wore on. Restaurant was full when we left around 8:30. My party leaned more towards the Thai dishes, which were delicious. Next time id like to try more of the Cambodian specialties. We had some dietary restrictions so asked for the fried rice to not include some of the usual ingredients. Although it was missing most of the veggies, it was still delicious!

There's not a lot of restaurants that have a combined menu with both Thai food and Cambodian food. This is one that does. And the food is good, flavorful, and comes in large portions. Ordering is easy enough using a QR code and online app. The service is attentive, and my water glass never has gone empty!

Thaibodia is a great spot if you are eating with family or a group. Portions are generous and work really well for family style sharing, so ordering a few dishes is usually more than enough for everyone. Food comes out hot, flavorful, and consistently good. Nothing over the top, just solid Thai dishes at a good value. We almost always have leftovers, which is a nice bonus. Easy place to come back to when you want a filling, shareable meal without thinking too hard about it.

One piece of plastic in my food.

I have been a long time customer of Thaibodia - until now. I received my food from a DoorDash order today, and when i took the second bite, I noticed something odd in my mouth. There was a piece of plastic in my food in my mouth. I looked through the rest of my food and found another piece.

Ordered a small chicken tom kha soup level hot and a very hot chicken pad Thai. I doordashed it and came out to $46. Both items were not good. Soup was mild with no spice and chicken seemed low on quality. Pad Thai had spice but no flavor at all. Just tasted like bland noodles with chicken and some spice. Save your money for better Thai food elsewhere.

Truly authentic Thai cuisine at its finest! We got our full classic Thai spread: tom yum soup, green papaya salad, yellow curry beef, green curry chicken, iconic mango sticky rice, plus Thai milk tea and Thai green milk tea. Every single item hit: fresh zesty flavors, fall-apart tender meat, perfectly balanced spice and sweetness, and massive portions for the price. Tired of overpriced, mediocre Thai food around the Bay? Run, don't walk here. Already planning our next visit!

This place is okay. I was excited to try Thaibodia because I've heard from friends that the food here is good (they just ate in a different location but I was hoping the Campbell one would be the same). So I dined in here for dinner, parking was nice and then ordered for Cambodian specialties. I ordered Salaw Gaghow (vegetable Cambodian-style stew) and Char Thum Beng (stir-fry veggies) in medium spicy. I also ordered passion fruit tea which I ordered 50% less sweet. The food was served and it was very salty and very spicy for medium level. Even with rice you can taste it's still very salty. I was too hungry so I just let it go so I could leave coz I was also very tired and wanted to rest after dinner. My fruit tea came and it was too sweet! It doesn't even have a flavor, I couldn't taste the passion fruit. The service and prices weren't too bad. I wasn't happy tho with my experience so I don't think I would go back.

This most recent visit left me pleasantly surprised... and I have discovered my pleasant visits have one common denominator- JOHN!!! Shout out to this young man for being patient, kind, attentive, and very welcoming. My family and I arrived for lunch this past Saturday with 2 other parties already seated. This says a lot since we pretty much arrives shortly after the establishment opened. John immediately greeted and went straight into seating us. We placed our usual order of 2 pad thai made with prawns. This was requested to be "Spicy Spicy". We also added an order of the chicken green curry- made with its default spice level. Food came out piping hot, freshly made, and looking undeniably delicious. Each dish was masterfully made and the kitchen staff deserves recognition for ALWAYS coming through with something consistently tasty. The heat level on the pad thai truly hit the spot with a heat that left you lowkey panting but not wanting to stop. Yes, IT HURT SO GOOD!! 5/5 Stars for this particular visit. Thank you, John for being a great face behind Must Be Thai. Your personable personality truly makes this dining experience enjoyable- other staffers could take a few pointers from you. I'll 100% be back and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to be served by you again!!

Dishes we tried - tom kha: listed under their small plates, they recommend a small bowl for 2 people - Panang curry: chicken was tasty - tom yum fried rice: this was our FAVORITE and if we were to return, we would definitely get this again. The calamari was nicely cooked, had large pieces of calamari - pad prik moo krob (roasted pork belly pieces): the pork belly was not crispy enough and therefore ended up just having tough pork belly. This was the most spicy dish out of all of the ones we had. I don't recommend eating the peppercorn if you're not ready for some heat. Wait - they have two tables that are only for groups 4+. There are other tables for groups of 4. We did not wait but we did join the waitlist ahead of time. You do need your entire party there to be seated - they do have 2 tables outdoors under heat lamps Ambiance - casual, nicely decorated inside - they have an indoor space that is on the small side - lighting and noise was ok for our family. We could have a conversation and everyone could hear each other. Lighting was enough even for the elders with cataracts Service - friendly - waiters came by at least 6+ times during the hour we spent there. Not fussy. Just to refill water and clear dishes because the tables are small in the slightly cramped indoor area

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more Tried it this weekend. I called in and made a reservation for 10 people. They accepted and also confirmed on the day of to make sure we were still coming. It's a small hole-in-the-wall kind of place. There were only 3 parties when we went -- 2 parties with 4 chairs each, and ours was the big 10-person table, so I would recommend always reserving ahead for large parties. Parking was easy to find. There's general public parking available right behind the restaurant. Our server was very attentive and gave us some good recommendations. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers 1) Egg rolls -- 5/5 2) Roti Panang curry -- 4/5 3) Fried Tofu -- 4/5 Soup 4) Tom Kha (medium spice) -- Pot style -- 5/5 Entrees were ordered w/ veggies and tofu 5) Basil fried rice (mild) -- 3/5 -- ordered it mild for my 5 year old and she loved it. I have had better at some other Thai places, though! 6) Pad Kee Mao (medium spicy) -- 4/5 -- I loved it. Pretty yummy, solid standard taste. Overall a good experience! I am definitely coming back to try other items on the menu.

**5 Stars because the Chicken Wings**…read more Saw a TikTok online about Tarah having the best Thai chicken wings in San Jose, so I had to try. The Laab Chicken Wings were truly the star of my meal. The savory, tangy, salty, limey flavors were dancing on my tongue. The wings also reminded me of tom yum and I never had a dry rub wing taste that good before. It's such a unique flavor. The meat was also tender as well. I also tried other dishes: Old Style Pad Thai (loved the crunchy pork grinds), Panang Curry with Roti, and some beef plate my partner got. Overall, we enjoyed these items and rate them 4/5 stars. Ingredients were fresh and cooked well. I only had a few nitpicks, like the roti was more doughy instead of flakey. Additionally, the pad thai did not come with lemon, so it felt like something was missing from the dish. However, I was able to ask for chili sauce which enhanced the pad thai. This restaurant is located in Willow Glen area and it is a tiny place! I would not recommend large parties here. It seems they receive many take out orders because of the small dining space. Other than that, the workers were polite and service was timely.

We came on a Sunday and there was only one other party dining there, which honestly made us feel a little bad because you can tell they're probably struggling to get much foot traffic. The lady working there was very friendly and service was good whenever she was able to get to us. You could definitely feel that it's a small local spot doing its best. Food-wise, everything we ordered was solid. We got both the chicken and beef skewers -- both had great flavor with a nice grilled char that really came through. We also ordered the fish amok, cha eark, and kuy tiew cha and enjoyed all three dishes. The fish amok especially stood out since it came wrapped in a banana leaf, and you could taste that subtle aroma infused into the fish. Overall, I still prefer Chez Sovan personally, but this spot is closer to home and reasonably price. I would definitely come back to be able to support a local business!
