I had my first taste of Thaibodia Bistro for the first time a week ago and I am not mad at all. I've noticed this business for quite some time but never made any effort to actually give them a try. I am a creature of habit so it's not too common for me to go astray from what the norm is and trying something new out of disappointment fears. Thank you to my coworker for throwing out this restaurant for our group lunch. Being one of three Thaibodia Bistros located in the Bay, the reviews all across the board are pretty promising. A table for 5 was easily accommodated and no reservations were made. Menu is viewed via QR code and service was prompt. Our meal consisted of: Beef Pad See Ew [medium] Squid Pad See Ew [medium] Chicken Pad Thai [mild] Chicken Yellow Curry [mild] Shrimp Fresh Rolls Chicken Pan Fried Dumplings Sticky Rice Jasmine Rice + Drinks Food was good. Everyone pretty much enjoyed their meals. I must say the spice level at a typical Thai restaurant doesn't exactly compare with Thaibodia's. Medium spice is usually the perfect amount of heat for me to enjoy comfortably and I felt like I would have enjoyed "hot" better according to their levels. I also got catfished with the dumplings- the sauce drenched on top resembled buldak but ended up being quite sweet. 4 stars overall. I wouldn't hesitate making a return visit. The food is very enjoyable but I may need to bump up the heat. read more

We ordered pineapple fried rice, eggplant, priking vegetables and tofu. Thai tea and lemonade. Lemonade needs more sugar if you are used to drinking real homemade lemonade. We came here for a birthday lunch with my family and they were so incredibly sweet & attentive in serving us, especially with us having so many kids under 5. I'm so happy we ordered family style and were able to try so many different dishes. We ordered the pad see ew (everyone's favorite!), pad thai, tom kha soup, yellow curry, basil fried rice, fish cakes, & roti. Each and every dish was truly amazing and full of flavor. Bonus was they had drinks and boba which were all great too! The restaurant itself is small and cozy, which made it feel intimate and perfect for quality time together. I have passed this place so many times and I am so glad I finally tried it. We opted to eat inside the restaurant, but it seems like they do a lot of takeout orders as you can order at a kiosk. There's probably less than 10 tables inside so I can see why people would order takeout. All the dishes we ordered were fabulous. The service was also so great. Our server really took care of us, refilling our waters consistently and even packaging our leftovers! This might be my new go to when I'm craving Thai or Cambodian. read more

I'm not really sure what happened but the food quality is just not there anymore. It doesn't taste like before and isn't authentic thai. The pad kee mao was flavorless, no basil, peppers, onions but had only carrots and broccoli??? The pad see ew had no egg, basil and broccoli instead of the traditional chinese broccoli. And the bbq pork was just sauteed tough pork smothered in some sweet citrus sauce. Thoroughly disappointed did they get a new chef or something? Thaibodia is a great spot if you are eating with family or a group. Portions are generous and work really well for family style sharing, so ordering a few dishes is usually more than enough for everyone. Food comes out hot, flavorful, and consistently good. Nothing over the top, just solid Thai dishes at a good value. We almost always have leftovers, which is a nice bonus. We usually stick to our favorites like the green curry, pad thai, pad see ew, BBQ pork, and papaya salad. Every dish is consistently delicious and always hits the spot. This time, we came with a large group of coworkers and were on a time crunch for lunch. We called ahead to place our order, and they were incredibly accommodating. When we arrived, the entire meal was already set on the table waiting for us, which made the experience so smooth and enjoyable. The highlight of this visit was the Garlic Cajun Chicken. Here is my two cents on the quality quantity of my yellow curry. It was delivered in a timely matter by Uber Eats.. I ordered unfortunately with extra rice, but that's on me. I ordered yellow curry and made a mistake of Adding tofu instead of chicken, but that's all on me.. I will see they did give me large chunks and quite a bit of tofu. The bowl was filled to the rim .. And I requested hot and it was very hot and very tasty. one thing I was not impressed with was having too much broccoli, but that seems to be the thing today. It must be a cheap vegetable to get... I was excited to try Thaibodia because I've heard from friends that the food here is good (they just ate in a different location but I was hoping the Campbell one would be the same). So I dined in here for dinner, parking was nice and then ordered for Cambodian specialties. I ordered Salaw Gaghow (vegetable Cambodian-style stew) and Char Thum Beng (stir-fry veggies) in medium spicy. I also ordered passion fruit tea which I ordered 50% less sweet. The food was served and it was very salty and very spicy for medium level. Even with rice you can taste it's still very salty. I was too hungry so I just let it go so I could leave coz I was also very tired and wanted to rest after dinner. My fruit tea came and it was too sweet! It doesn't even have a flavor, I couldn't taste the passion fruit. The service and prices weren't too bad. I wasn't happy tho with my experience so I don't think I would go back. read more

It wasn't overly seasoned, which I appreciated -- fluffy rice, bits of egg, vegetables, and protein mixed evenly. It's the kind of dish you keep eating without realizing how much you've had. For appetizers, the fried shrimp were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, served with fries and dipping sauces (ketchup + sweet chili). Definitely indulgent and great for sharing. I would give this place 3.5 if I could but unfortunately I can't, but I also couldn't quite justify 4 stars, as the food was pretty average, not horrible but not memorable, especially given the other options in the area. The bbq garlic chicken was good, but it wasn't grilled in any way it was more like sautéed in the sauce which was fine but I was expecting more of a grilled flavor given that it's described as BBQ chicken. On 1/31/26 I ordered chicken pad Thai, mild, for my wife and ped eew, medium, for myself. Picked up mod afternoon, so kitchen wasn't busy. Neither was worth the menu price. Pad eew: noodles weren't fresh. The broccoli was fresh, but didn't taste like it'd been cooked at all. Some of the carrots seemed fresh, some were probably defrosted. Other than the heat from the diced chilies, I tasted no special sauce or seasoning. The chicken was all dark meat, with no special prep- just random chunks. Maybe 2 of total. Pad Thai: I didn't eat it. It had an artificial orange color. Despite being hungry, she ate ~ 1/4 of the order. Said that the chicken was stringy and mentioned that she might feed the few chicken pieces to our dog. I chose it because today was last day to use a credit for Uber Eats. Parked in their parking lot, checked out the menu on the window and decided it was definitely worth eating there, then started walking across the parking lot to check out the restaurant next-door for future reference. The manager came out the door and started yelling at us and telling us that we should not park in her parking lot. Ordered for delivery through UberEats and had never heard of this spot before. But was really in the mood for some Thai curry. We only got two dishes + one side: Panang Curry w/ shrimp (medium spicy) Green Curry w/ tofu (mild spicy) Coconut Rice Both curries were absolutely delicious. About $17-$18 each, and a very generous portion. We were able to make two meals out of each, so the price seems worth it. The flavors of each curry were rich and complex, and exactly what you would hope for. We've ordered from other Thai spots in the area, but these curries blew them out of the water. I especially liked the amount of vegetables and proteins in each. The Panang Curry dish came with about 10 large shrimp + many vegetables. Coconut rice was also done just right and a nice complement to the curries. Although we didn't receive service in person, I have to comment on the excellent delivery packaging they used. Good quality plastic containers (which we can reuse to cut down on waste), wrapped in a good plastic bag & taped, and then tied in a traditional take-out plastic bag. No spillage at all! The restaurant is TINY, like 4 tables tiny. Note, 20% gratuity is automatically added for parties of 5+. The interior is clean and the waitress was friendly and attentive. This place is known for take out. During our meal multiple people came into the restaurant to order food, but none of them dined-in which I thought was a little strange. Upon exiting, I realized it's because they offer 3 entrees for $35 which is a great deal for this day and age, especially for Campbell. I ordered the Papaya Salad ($14.95) with Shrimp (+$2). I only got 2 whole shrimp (4 slices as they were cut in half and that WASN'T worth the extra $2), but the papaya salad was excellent and fresh. The flavor was on-point and the level of spice I wanted was there. I will return, but will not dine-in, and will instead opt to order take out to take advantage of the take-out special. This is a great place! We ordered the Tom Kha soup with Fish and Shrimp. Then we had the paratha and curry and then the Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp. Every dish was really good. I did think the fish pieces overpowered the soup as they were a little smelly for me. The fried rice was excellent with a nice zing to it!. Update: wifey wanted hot soup in this rain so we came back here. Started off with the Roti and curry. Personally, I think this is overpriced. I didn't realize it was $11 since I was treated to lunch last time. Can't tell if this is made fresh or if it is what you find at ethnic grocers' frozen aisle. The Tom Kha was again wonderful. This time we had it without the fish pieces and it was perfect. We added Dai Chin With Chicken and Potatoes. I asked if this was a Thai dish and was told "Yes", however I do believe this may be a Chinese dish. The sauce is on the sweeter side even though we asked for slightly hotter than medium. The dish has stir fried chicken pieces mixed with potato wedges, onion squares, garlic, and sliced jalapeños. The portion size is gigantic which I love! They do not skimp out, that's fire sure. At $15, it can definitely feed 3 people I think the dish could do without the potatoes as they are bulky and don't have much flavor internally since it doesn't soak up the sauce and it could be spicier for sure. We also had the Assam Black Tea with boba. The tea was perfect with 50% sugar. The bobas unfortunately were clumpy for the most part so I had to fish them out. The only customer service issue I had was the following: After we ordered the tea, my wife changed her mind and wanted a mango tea, I quickly went to the counter and asked if we could change it but she told me that she had already started making it. The cup basically had the syrup and boba on the bottom which I would have thought wasn't a big deal but she didn't say that it was ok and that she would change the order. So for a few pennies of cost, the customer was not satisfied for the order since it wasn't changed. Overall, this place is constantly packed and lots of To-Go orders. Although it is served with a red curry dip, I felt that had limited flavor and found myself dipping the roti into the green curry we ordered instead. - tom kha tofu (7/10): creamy coconut milk based soup with onion, carrot, mushroom, baby corn, lemongrass, galangal, lime, and tofu. This was one of the better dishes that we ordered. I liked how flavorful the broth was, as you could taste the warm spices of the curry paste and the heat from the chili. I also liked the variety of vegetables and thought all were cooked well. - green curry tofu (6/10): green curry paste simmered with coconut milk, eggplant, potato, bell pepper, basil, zucchini, broccoli, and tofu. I liked this curry better than the other one we ordered. The base looked more vibrant than green curry usually is but that did not affect the flavor. The ratio of vegetables to liquid was perfect for mixing with rice. I would have liked it to be spicier as I added quite a bit of chili paste on top. - Malaysian curry tofu (4/10): Malaysian curry paste with bamboo shoots, potato, bell pepper, broccoli, zucchini, carrot, spices, and tofu. I was excited to try this as I had not seen it on other menus. The texture was creamier than the green curry. However, the base was too tangy and tasted almost like yogurt. Similar to the green curry, it could have used more spice. - pad kee mao tofu (5/10): wide rice noodles sautéed with onion, tomato, bell pepper, garlic, basil, broccoli, and tofu. I liked how the tofu was in small cubes and had absorbed a good amount of the sauce. I also liked how there was a good amount of both noodles and vegetables and how the noodles did not clump on the plate. Pad kee mao is usually much spicier yet was this one was dominated by the taste of soy sauce. WOULD I GO BACK? We got green curry, brown rice, fried rice, and calamari. Absolutely the worst calamari we have ever tasted! It was super dry and chewy, and appeared to be frost-bitten. It looked and tasted like something discovered in the back of the freezer after a few years! The brown rice was dry - seemed like it was a day old. The fried rice was ok - the onions tasted a bit funky and the chicken also tasted like it was in the freezer for too long. The green curry was good - lots of veggies, big portion. Overall good. The yellow curry was VERY sweet - like sugary sweet. I don't mind a hint of coconutty sweetness but this was a bit overpowering. The cod and potatoes were very nice in it though.
