We celebrated my older brother and cousin's birthday celebration at Best Taste yesterday for lunch. My brother is a frequent guest and my family and I have also been here several times. We've taken food to-go and we also enjoy dining in. Their service is always friendly and fast. The food comes-out hot and fresh. The menu was put together by my sister-in-law and my cousin's girlfriend. They made sure to order dishes based upon the dietary restrictions of the guests. It's always nice to see a restaurant listen to dietary needs and deliver. Due to the size of our group, we were the only guests during the lunch period. That was really appreciated by all. The dishes were delicious and filling. The menu consisted of Steamed Rice, Chicken Chow Fun, Orange Chicken, Chicken Salad, Fish Tempura, Sweet & Sour Pork, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce and Watermelon. Best Taste was kind enough to let my sister-in-law bring an Apple Pie and a Guava Cake too. Everyone had a good time and left with full bellies.

Took a chance and tried Best Taste Chinese restaurant (sorry folks, no more sushi!) kids and I were pleasantly surprised. I was nervous at first since the dining room was empty, (though we did arrive during in between traditional lunch and dinner times.) The waiter was attentive and kind. He brought waters to our table right away. The kids were delighted by the classic Coke glasses with handles! We ordered fried rice, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and salt and pepper fish. Food came out hot and fresh! High quality meat and vegetables prepared the right way. Bravo! Would highly recommend this place as your new Chinese spot or if you're in the area looking for some really yummy Chinese food. Will definitely be returning to this place soon!

Excellent service for a large group. Cindy provided prompt service, answered all our questions and even got the chef to make my favorite dish, tomato egg. When it came out she asked if I preferred it dry or with more sauce. When I said with more sauce, she took it back to get more of the tomato sauce. It was excellent. They should add it to the menu! I will be back, for sure. The portions are large and full of beautiful vegetables.

Best Taste Chinese and Sushi Restaurant is a casual family style place in Campbell,CA. It's in a small plaza on Bascom Ave, just north of Dry Creek Rd. This Chinese restaurant features old style chinese furniture, along with comfy booths. The decor is bright and pretty. I was told the place is 20 years old, but it looks clean and new. My first time there was a chilly rainy day. I had a craving for a hot bowl of soup. I spotted the sign for Best Taste Chinese and Sushi Restaurant in the darkness, and decided to try their Wor Won Ton Soup. The lady greeted me, and offered me a menu. I confidently ordered a large Wor Won Ton Soup and a glass of ice water. In 10 mins, it arrived to my table.....a steaming hot bowl of Won Ton Soup. It was clear broth, with some chopped cabbage, some meat, and ten (10) plump dumplings. The soup tasted a bit mild, almost under seasoned. A splash of soy sauce made it just right. On the table there were various condiments such as soy sauce and chili oil. Also, there's chopsticks and straws. When you eat in a chinese restaurant, always try to use chopsticks. My second visit, I came to try their seafood. A very long time ago, my grandmother told me the true test of a restaurant is how well they cook fish. So I ordered the Seafood Combination, Egg Flower Soup, a bowl of rice and hot tea. The Seafood Combo had fresh fish, scallops, shrimp and squid. The dish had a delicate and light flavor. I could taste the fish. It was a blend of seafood with snow peas, squash, baby corn, carrots, and water chestnuts. The service was friendly and attentive. The restroom is clean and spacious. I will definitely return to try their Beef Chow Mein-Hong Kong Style.

We've lived in the neighborhood for 30+ years and never stepped into this restaurant. We were, however, big fans of Chef Li's down the street, before they shut down. When we heard two of Chef Li's went here , we tried it. We ordered "take out" and were not disappointed. The restaurant is modest but clean and inviting. Moreover, when we got the food home to eat, it was excellent! Worth checking out my Yelp friends.

Tried take out this time. I appreciate that their online ordering system has a loyalty program, which I thought was a cool perk. The food was ready quickly and stayed warm in the way home. Make sure you're on time, if not a little early, for pick up as the service is fast. Everything was packaged nicely :)

The customer service was 10/10. I felt like I was eating at a friend's house just by the way they spoke to us and all their other customers. They were attentive and sweet. Such a chill spot to come and eat with friends and family. We didn't realized how big their plates were so we took our left overs home. The chicken chow mein and fried rice was really good. The desserts were also 10/10 :)

We reserved a table for lunch to conduct a business meeting. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the lunch special, which was delicious. The food was fresh and hot, with generous portions. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. They have a menu which includes both Japanese and Chinese dishes. I happen to order the walnut prawns and hot and sour soup with you were both very good.

Very satisfying dinner we had. We search for good Chinese restaurant around our location and we found Best Taste Sushi and Chinese Restaurant. We enjoy some fried rice, noodles, home made fresh egg rolls and some vegetables. Food was delicious and place was clean and comfortable to be here. Our server was kind to us and we like nice people. I will definitely comeback with my family

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. The interior of the restaurant is kind of standard-industrial modern, but nicely so. Oh, and their glassware is super nice.

All dishes were sub standard save for the squash flower fritters. Milk punch and other cocktails are still worth the visit. Additionally the patio space at night is unmatched in terms of a cozy and perfectly intimate dinner experience. Our server Katherine N was outright hostile and messed up our order on top of having a really rude and unprofessional attitude. Bummer. This used to be the best dining in Pruneyard but its sister restaurant Be.steak.a, as well as Luna and Marafuku Ramen make OCK's bib gourmand look more than undeserved. The rest of the wait staff is lovely, and we look forward to some improvements in the menu intentionality and execution as well as said outlier staff member, as this restaurant has been a favorite in our family for over five years.

For instance, even though the menu stated that it offered happy hour on the weekend, the waiter, said no, there's definitely no happy hour today and we were there at 3pm. (Online it shows that happy hour is indeed offered on the weekdays and weekends, I should mention.) I feel like he should've at least walked over and confirmed with his manager because the manager was there onsite. There was also no price listed for the Pacific Caesar salad. So the server finally got back to me with the price. My friend said that she had just gotten it with chicken. The server said that adding chicken or salmon would be $8 for either one. However, also incorrect! Online it shows that chicken is only $6. (hello, fish is always more expensive, especially salmon.) I didn't trust what he said, so I decided to skip that dish. My friend had said it was really good too. Oh well. I also didn't appreciate how when I went to pay the 22% was also marked as a default tip, so I would assume he ticked that. This is the first time that I've had service that has been subpar. Almost every other time the servers have been outstanding. I felt like the waiter should've double checked a few things have not been lazy about it. A few months ago, my friend and I also went and they had a different menu. It was three for $16 or something. He also said he didn't have that today either. And he claimed there was no such menu. So maybe they got rid of it. However, it is still listed online? My friend had got the tacos before and she loved those so I'm posting that picture here as well but this was the prior visit in the spring.

As a devoted fan of Japanese cuisine, I am truly grateful to the person who first introduced me to this spot. Since then, it has become my definitive go-to for a slightly more upscale, formal lunch with closed friends whenever we have the time to sit and savor a good meal. My typical lunch rotation consists of their excellent donburi bowls: the Niku Kimchi Don(for when I'm going for strong flavor that day), the Tori Nanban Don (for when I'm craving perfectly deep-fried comfort), and my all-time favorite, the Mabo Tofu Don. The Mabo Tofu Don here is an absolute standout to me. It is a brilliant Japanese interpretation of the classic Sichuan dish, trading the traditional numbing spicy for a deeper, savory-sweet flavor profile that is equally delicious. The technical execution of the ingredients is flawless. The minced pork is thoroughly marinated with absolutely no pork odor, and it melds perfectly with their rich Japanese-style fermented bean paste. The addition of the deep-fried eggplant elevates the bowl entirely. If I had tasted eggplant prepared this way during my childhood, it would have cured my eggplant-phobia instantly--the exterior is impeccably crisp, while the inside remains tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Crowned with a perfectly soft-poached onsen egg and served over high-quality rice, the dish achieves a wonderful, multi-layered texture and flavor profile that makes for an incredibly satisfying lunch. I have been on a five-visit streak ordering this Mabo Don, but I promise to eventually break the cycle so I can share my thoughts on the Niku Kimchi and Tori Nanban bowls with my fellow Yelpers soon!

The parking lot isn't massive, but finding a spot isn't difficult, if my experience is anything to go by. Solo and duo diners are usually seated at normal tables, but large parties have the option of sitting in shoes-off washitsu rooms with tatami mats. The menu is very large, with specific sections condensing their vegetarian & gluten-free offerings. You get a paper menu detailing their specials, and the rest of the menu is accessed through a QR code (which I am personally not a fan of). True to its self-identification as a Japanese fusion tapas spot, the menu ranges from sashimi to soba to risotto korokke to pizza and so on. I recommend eating family-style with a group, as portion sizes are definitely tapas-sized, and trying a little bit of a lot is the best way to experience what Gochi has to offer. Though the atmosphere is great for a date night, the two-seater tables are set up very close to each other, so there won't be much privacy. Most of the dishes I found to be good, but perhaps not exceedingly impressive. The yuzu ceviche was stellar, with fresh fish and a strong citrus flavor, but the accompanying potato chips were a little thick and lacking salt. The sashimi was beautifully presented and fresh, but the pieces were a little smaller than I had expected. The risotto korokke was alright as well; the sauce was great, but the risotto inside was a little bland. Overall, I thought this to be a decently enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is great, the service is good, and the food is varied and interesting. The dishes range from being pretty affordable small dishes to a little too pricey to be worth what you get, so I'd definitely spend a little extra time perusing the menu. I will likely return to try some of the other items in the future.
