Everytime I come here with this group they order the same egg noodle dish with soup on the side! But today I tried mine with the soup and it was delicious ~ I honestly prefer rice noodles so next time I want to try the soup with rice noodles ^^ I ordered the #4!! Wonton with pork inside

Their #2 and a side order of meatballs
    Victor L.

They added the fried pork skin pieces back in! This is a game changer for me. I haven't been back here for months. Now, I won't go elsewhere because this place hits all of the marks. Food (5 stars) + It's always #1 (rice noodle) or #2 (egg noodle) and dry where they separate the noodles and soup. + They put just the right amount of liver and meat slices + 2 large shrimp and 2-3 pieces of squid + I got 2 bones with soup. There's actually a lot of meat on the bones and the soup is much better now. There is no funky smell! Service/Ambiance (5 stars for hole in wall) + I got my order within a minute or two upon ordering... faster than fast food! + This is truly a hole in the wall style restaurant where you don't see many Gen Zs - Gen Zs are missing out - Only open until 4p so plan accordingly

Walked in and was greeted right away. I sat down and a menu was brought to me.food came quick. Classic nam vang taste. Soup was savory and full of flavor. Huge portions with lots of meat. I always get the dry version with soup on the side that comes with a meaty bone.

#2 egg noodle chowzhou style dry $15.75

It is such a treat coming back to Yummy Trieu Chau. I love their dry noodles. The best is their #2 egg noodle chowzhou style dry $15.75. There a squeeze bottle with their famous sweet soy sauce at the table. That sauce is hard to beat. The noodles they serve are hot and even though there is no soup. The large is almost too big to finish in one sitting. The difference is only $1 if you pick large vs. medium. The add on side orders are awesome. We usually get their Chinese donut $4. One order is not enough though for 4 people, so we get two. We also love their fried egg $2.75 and meat ball $5. The kitchen is fast and nowadays, it is not busy on the weekends at bunch time. Great job everyone at Yummy.

If you've ever had Hu Tieu noodles, you definitely know they are the most underrated noodles in the noodle realm. I get it, it's hard to compete with the classic heavy hitters like ramen, pho, udon or bun Bo hue but trust me Hu Tieu deserves a place at the table. To the naked eye, they look like boring old egg noodles but they're not. They're some of the most delicious, saliva-inducing bowls of noodles out there and yummy Trieu Chau does it effortlessly. If you've never had Hu Tieu at yummy's before, this is what you order. A #1 or a #2 with bone soup on the side. What's the difference between 1 & 2? Rice noodles or egg noodles. When they ask you if you want bone soup, the correct answer is always yes. I forgot the take a pic of the soup but it's this titanic pork bone with meat, cartilage & bone marrow dunked in hot porky broth. The fun part is using a chopstick to get the bone marrow out. Anyways the noodle bowl itself is filled with toppings such as pork meat, shrimp, fried pork belly, fried little shrimp, pork liver (you can ask them to omit if liver isn't your thing), and loads of veggies. The noodles itself are tossed in garlic oil and you'll want to drench it in the sauce they give you. I can't wait to go back, I'm literally drooling on my phone screen as I'm writing this review (ew?) but I highly recommend, this place is a dime.

hu tieu trieu chau nuoc (#1 with soup inside)

i got a small #1 with soup inside. the flavor of the soup was comforting and rich, and i enjoyed the food a lot. the service left something to be desired. we arrived at around 1, so it wasn't too busy, and we were seated immediately. we were only looking at the menu for 10 seconds before the staff rushed us for our order. the meal came out in a reasonable amount of time, no complaint there, but once we got our food, it felt like we were watched like hawks. the establishment is small and not spacious and we were sat by the register, so maybe that's why, but it made us a bit uncomfortable. aside from service, the rice noodle dish was good and i would come back and request to sit not near the register.

    #1, soup on the side

My first time coming here the other day and I enjoyed it so much I cannot stop thinking about what I ate!! We got #1 on the menu with the soup on the side and it was so delicious... added extra sauce to the noodles The soup is so delicious and the portion is very good! Me and my mom both got a small and it was just enough for the both of us, usually other places that does dry noodles their "small" is literally kids size... But can we talk about the soup again???? It was so yummy I swear If that is what I just ordered I would've been satisfied. It was a good combination, the dish, with noodle and meats. The place however is super small and crowded. So if you're looking for a restaurant where you need room, this may not be it. The parking is also pretty small and the restaurant itself is a typical run of the mill Asian restaurant (but that's how you know it's good)

Mi xao hai san. Stir fried noodles with seafood.
    Tina N.

We tried the mi xao hai san (seafood stir-fried noodles) and were pleasantly surprised--it was flavorful, well-seasoned, and came out nicely cooked. We also ordered the pho ap chao (crispy fried rice noodles with seafood). The sauce was rich and savory, and the vegetables were fresh and plentiful, adding a great balance to the dish. Unfortunately, the noodles themselves missed the mark. They were overly dry, slightly stale in texture, and the portion size was very small compared to the amount of sauce and vegetables--making the ratio feel way off. Despite that, I'd be open to ordering it again to see if it was just an off night, since the flavors overall were promising.

#2 Mi Trieu Chau with Thick Egg Noodles - Soup on the Side
    Jeannie N.

I got the large #2 thick egg noodles with the soup on the side. Decided for the large bowl because it was only a dollar more, so why not. The bowl was packed with assortment of meats and veggies. Even with adding the black sauce on the side into my noodles, it was lacking that umami flavor. The soup on the side had a nice salty taste but you can definitely tell it was loaded with a lot of msg. The beef bone the side soup came with was very meaty. The staff was friendly and tentative. I just wish the sauce for the noodles when ordering the soup on the side had more of that emph. Lacking that flavor 3.5 stars

    Kelly A.

I thought it was a bit pricey but they gave a HUGEEEE portion. The order was prepared pretty quick. It's a good local restaurant that has some grit but they make solid Hu Tieu.

This morning visit to this restaurant was straight from a TikTok suggestion. I tried the #8, which came with a huge portion (I couldn't finish it) and a side of soup. The power of social media was clear, the dining room was filled with people enjoying virtually the same meal. It lived up to the hype, and I plan to come back with my family.

This place has been around for many years and I just keep coming back to it when I'm craving Hu Tieu Nam Vang! Plus, you know it's a gem when it's a hole in the wall type of place, a mom/pop shop, & literally the only Asian restaurant among many Mexican restaurants nearby. I always get their #1 which is their Hu Tieu Nam Vang, & I do soup on the side with a side order of Chinese donuts. Chef's Kiss! Flavor profile is always on point. I went recently and only got the same exact dish while my friends tried Hu Tieu with egg noodles, soup in and also their seafood chow fun. Both were really good as well. Hours might not be dinner-friendly but if you can go during the daytime for a good bowl of noodles, I highly suggest it!

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 7/10 Came here at lunch time with a coworker and we love this place. Food came out quickly so we can head back to work on time too. We ordered the special Hu Tieu / Mi Trieu Chau combo- Dry version, which comes with a pork bone broth on the side.Must try this version if have yet tried. We love the pickled peppers here too, it's so spicy and the perfect addition to our soup. Can't wait to go there again!

The mam tom had a strong flavor (as expected), but it was balanced well and tasted authentic. We also ordered the cha ca La Vong, which came out sizzling and fragrant with plenty of dill and turmeric flavor. Mixing it with the noodles, herbs, and peanuts made for a great combination of textures and flavors. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. It's not always easy to find Vietnamese dishes like these done well in the South Bay, so I was happy to find a spot that delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). It comes out on a sizzling plate so you have to let it cook a bit to render the onions and dill to get that perfect texture. The sauce might be a bit fishy to some, but it's what ties the bite together! It's def an acquired taste, but if you are open to trying new things, please come try this speciality dish. Tip: on Wednesdays, this dish is only $28, whereas the OG price is around $36. The fried rice here was surprisingly super flavorful! You can taste the separate grains (which is when you know the cook on the rice is good) and the salt levels were top tier. I would come back and get this togo if I was too lazy to create my own food with the spring rolls. Overall, you are here for the food, not the service and decor. If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.
