This time we tried the Taiwanese bamboo shoot dish from the Chef's Recommendation section. It was definitely spicy, though not quite as fiery as the last time we had it. Worst service ever. My friend and I were dining at Golden Triangle when, in the middle of our meal, an older lady server came to our table and told us we had 30 minutes to finish our food or move to another table. This was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. We were paying customers actively eating our dinner. Being rushed in that manner was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. I have never been treated this way at any restaurant. At the end of the meal, I made it clear to her that her behavior was wrong and that customers should not be treated this way. Me and my partner love this place and we keep coming here even though it's quite far for us. I like that they have a separate vegetarian menu. We had to drop off the kids bikes for repairs in the bike store nearby. The repair time was 1 hour so we decided to get lunch at Golden Triangle which was right next door. We were the first customers of the day and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Ambiance was nice with a lot of gold. Reminded me of the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Since it was meatless Saturday we ordered off their separate menu for vegetarians. We got 3 appetizers and 3 mains. The presentation for the appetizers is gorgeous. They served the appetizers in multiple small individual containers which makes them perfect for sharing among a large group. The portion sizes for the mains is humongous. The flavor profile is solid across all the items. What didn't work: the appetizers came pre dipped in a colorful, sweet and sticky sauce which we normally avoid. Since these were pre dipped we were forced to eat it. The roti was not flaky, it was burnt in places, greasy and drab. We got coconut fried chicken for the kids which they refused to eat after a single bite. Apparently it was too tough to chew. Inspite of the shortcomings, this is decent place. Ambiance is nice, quantities are generous and flavors are good. Presentation for appetizers is great as well, next time around I will ask them to avoid the sweet sauce in the appetizers. read more

I had just gone on a nearby hike and we decided to eat here for lunch because my friend said the food was really good the last time she was here. We ordered the pad thai and the massaman curry with purple rice to share. I thought the pad thai was really good, the noodles were bouncy and it wasn't overly saturated in sweet sauce but just had the right amount of pad thai flavor. I liked that they wrapped the noodles in an egg crepe. The massaman curry was okay, I thought the potatoes and carrots were still undercooked. The staff is very pleasant although dishes took a long time to come out... prices are a little bit on the high side for this type of food, but the portions are huge easily enough to take home some for the next day. having no corkage fee is a great thing. They definitely have a good selection of various Asian foods but three dishes ended up costing almost $80 with tax and one cup of hot tea so it's definitely not cheap. read more

We wanted to try a new Thai restaurant so we tried Golden Triangle Cuisine and we had a great experience. First we sat outside for lunch but after we started to enjoy the delicious Tom Yum soup flies started to appear and then one dove into our soup! Yuk! So we continued indoors, they gave us another bowl of soup. Which was great but im not sure if they just removed the fly or gave us a new serving. Ha ha anyway, we didn't touch it. My wife tried the prawns with bamboo shoots in chili paste and I had the Pad Thai with prawns. We really enjoyed our choices. My husband and I, along with every friend we've taken here, has really loved this place. So, we were happy to return for a Saturday night double date recently. Food was served promptly and warm. I opted for the panang curry and my husband chose a friend rice. He ended up getting a different fried rice than what he ordered, but he was still super happy with the dish. This is a no nonsense joint in Los Gatos which I quite enjoy. They are a BYOB place and are perfectly positioned right next to Rootstock Wine Bar (which is fab!). We have been here a couple of times before and the food is always delicious. Service however can be slow. So if you're hangry this probably is not the right stop for you. We ordered: Papaya Salad: spicy, tangy real papaya salad is what I like to eat and they deliver the taste! Spicy Tilapia: i really liked this dish. I'm not sure if the spicy sauce was a sambal paste or what but it was delish! Simple Fried Rice: nothing to really talk about here.
