I don't give out a lot of 5 stars, but I LOVE Thainamite. It's amazing that they have one on Brady, one in Tosa, and one in the Public Market, because I can't get enough. All of their food is great (including the sushi, stir fried noodles, and other entrees) but I'm partial to the curry. They have 5 kinds: red, green, yellow, panang, and Thai-namite with your choice of protein. I've tried them all and they're all good depending on your personal preferences. My favorite sauce is the yellow curry - I like the Thai-namite as well, but they serve it with roti instead of rice so I ask for a side of rice too. It's a steal - only $10 and it usually lasts me 2 meals (it reheats very well.) While they have a decent amount of seating, I usually call ahead and order for pick-up and it's usually ready within 10 minutes. Definite must try! read more

Wow is the word for Andaman kare. It's a spicy dish. I ordered medium and that's pretty hot. I would suggest 1 star. You can always add the heat later. It's just chilli powder that's added for heat. The spices are wonderful. Mussels, shrimp and scallops were excellent. I skipped the calamari. Taste is very authentic. Unlike any typical American Thai dish, this dish tastes as if it were made in Singapore. It's that good. 5 stars all the way. read more

Consistently good food! Favorite dishes include drunken noodles, oyster delight, and volcano chicken. Spice levels vary-- menu has a chili pepper next to drunken noodles, and I've ordered it and it's had literally no heat, and other times it's had alot! Just speak up on the heat level you want (0 to 3) and they always make it right! Spring rolls are good, but their fresh rolls aren't my favorite of others I've had in the city. Not worth the price. I'd heard good things about this place from various people. I was excited to try it. I wasn't feeling great so i ordered something simple - teriyaki chicken. Hard to go wrong, right? No. The chicken was dry and the sauce pretty bland. When I asked the waitress for more teriyaki sauce she came back telling me it would be an extra $3. $3?!? for an extra splash of sauce for the entree you already messed up? Thainamite clearly has their sushi together when they have several popular locations across the Milwaukee areas (Public Market, East side on Brady, and Tosa). The Brady street restaurant is my personal favorite, with a small sized dining area and cozy bar. We always get the Spicy Tuna or Brady roll (a fancier version of the S.T. for just a dollar more). The Crab Rangoons are always delicious, as is the miso soup. For a hot dish, try out the Pad-See-Ew, you can pick your spice level, which is always fun and daring! read more

Service: Fantastic. Our server, Aurelia, was very kind and kept the water coming for our table. We were super thirsty, so our server was very generous. Atmosphere: Super chill. We got there at the perfect time, right around 5pm on a Saturday, so well before the proper dinner rush. Really good for people watching, but the seats are a little close to really chat about the people watching without it being creepy. Price: Reasonable. Sushi rolls run $7-13 depending on whether you're looking for a simple or speciality roll. Food: REALLY SPICY. We got a sushi roll for an "appetizer" which was delicious (tempura, eel sauce, sriracha mayo...all good things). Now don't get me wrong, I like spicy food and on a cold evening, spicy food is perfect. The spice scale at Thai-namite is a 1-3 where a 3 is a "native Thai human." I thought, "Well, in restaurants where the scale is different, I usually get a medium..." so I got a dish of drunken noodles at a 2. This was a mistake. My entire mouth (and even my lips) burned and my eyes tested up something fierce. My nose ran and I felt bad dabbing at it with my cloth napkin. I couldn't really taste anything aside from the spicy, so I can't really say if I enjoyed the dish on its own merit. I can't say I was a fan of the pain. In summary: would I go back? We haven't been here during a busy lunch, but have visited a few times during an average dinner time. The service has always been good for us. Food it outstanding, love how they differ from the norm. The only thing that stopped me from giving it five stars is that the menus were dirty/sticky. I know it seems picky to comment on this, but when you hold a menu and are touching food/other people's grime on the menu, it doesn't make you feel comfortable eating a few minutes later. Take the time to clean the menus weekly (at least) to make sure we aren't transferring germs back and forth with other customers. I've been wanting to check out Thainamite forever- it's the fusion of my two favorite cuisines. I was slightly skeptical, because most fusion places aren't also the best sushi places. We stopped in on a Wednesday and were excited to see half off bottles of wine. Bottoms up, yo! We ordered several appetizers, and both the crab Rangoon's and gyoza were delicious: the ginger dipping sauce for the gyoza was especially tasty. The edamame was fine- just edamame. We ordered way too much food because we wanted to try a little of everything. Fair warning: Thainamite doesn't hold back on the heat. I was glad we ordered our food mild: it had plenty of kick and flavor. We tried Red curry with beef, fried rice and volcano shrimp: all of which were prepared well and delicious. We also tried a few sushi rolls- the Packers roll was our favorite. All and all- no complaints. The food was delicious, the service was prompt and the price was reasonable. I don't get the hype for this place. I want to like it so bad, but every time I try it I am disappointed. The first time we ordered delivery and got some sushi rolls which were not very good. We think maybe because it was delivery so we didn't know how long they were sitting out before we got them. The next time we went, we enjoyed it. I had pad thai and my husband had a peanut dish. Both were delicious so we were excited to go back. I liked my husband's peanut dish better than the pad thai so we ordered delivery again, and it was terrible. I couldn't even eat it...which sucked. We blamed the fact that it was delivery again. So when we finally went back to try it a fourth time, I got the peanut dish again (because it was SOOOO good the first time) and this final time it didn't taste anything like the first time. We gave up on trying, their dishes have been very inconsistent every time we go, which is disappointing because I truly want to like it!! As far as service goes, it was always really good. read more

This restaurant has amazing food!! All of the tempura dishes are to die for- they do deep frying so well and it's so crispy. I got the sweet potato rolls and they were perfectly cooked and rolled. They cater nicely to vegan diets and will inform you if a dish can be made meat/fish free. Friendly staff and good safety precautions. They offer outdoor dining as well as indoor dining, and staff wear masks while doing service. Would recommend to any sushi lover. read more

This is a signature restaurant of mine that I go to a lot. I have tried their Green Bay Packer sushi, edamame, crab rangoon, tempura, and mighty cashew entree and everything has been so good! But my absolute favorite thing is their green curry. It has the perfect combo of creaminess and heat based on your liking (mild, medium, or native). It also comes with a lot of different veggies and all the protein options are great. The portion size is large so I always love having leftovers. On top of it all, their prices are very reasonable and they have great daily specials. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't! read more

Alien had Wrap a Pat Thai and Green Curry. Alien loved both! Pat Thai here is rich and thick, stirred with a plenty amount of oil. It goes great with the thin omelet Sweet sauce, chewy rice noodles, and succulent shrimps. Yum yum! Alien am satisfied with the additional $2 for shrimps. They put many shrimps in Alien's Pat Thai. Alien ordered medium spicy green curry, and it was yummy but very hot! Be careful if you don't enjoy hot meals! This place was very busy, and so many people walk by Alien's table. First time here while visiting Milwaukee. Amazing meal! Our party of five loved all our entree's. One dude in our party had the Thai Basil and made the cocky move of ordering it at "native" heat level. It's fair to say that he had a religious experience--either that, or it was laced with ecstasy (#crazyeyes). Either way, he's a convert and googled recipes half the drive home. My Pad Thai was unexpectedly spicy and once it was established my weak ass couldn't do it (I was sweaty) our server was incredibly nice and the kitchen quickly re-made me a vanilla version for my delicate palate. It was hands down one of the best Pad Thais I've ever have. Excellent experience we'd recommend to anyone. read more

Can't get a much better deal for the quality of food you get. We frequently get one of the curries and the wrap a pad Thai and we can easily squeeze two if not three meals out of what we get. Stopped here on a Monday night about 730pm. We were seated right away inside . The menu was good lots of Thai and some sushi .. my favs . I ordered a fresh spring roll, miso soup , chicken pad Thai and 2 sushi rolls .. eel and avacado and the cream roll(white tuna and avacado). The miso soup was good and not salty, it had lots of tofu and a few pieces of seaweed The fresh roll was real tasty with the peanut sauce I ordered my pad Thai 2.5 hot and it was pretty spicy hot but not mouth burning. It came wrapped in a thine egg which I mixed in the very tasty noodles and sauce . I really liked the egg wrap and the Thai sauce was very good Both of my sushi rolls were really good. The eel was good with its yummy sauce and the white tuna was buttery .. Our service was outstanding , reasonably timed and friendly:) Overall a very good experience! I ordered the green curry with shrimp. Absolutely DELICIOUS. I like it spicy, but my server had me order level two (out of four). She was right! It was perfect and I like it hot... She said it depends on who the cook is sometimes so I would definitely go with the servers guidance in choosing your heat level. We went During Brady St., Festival at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. I love there food, but within the last year or so, I order the same thing consistently (with the same spice level too), and it can be a waste of money. Each time I order it can taste drastically different, one time I love it and other times there's not taste to the dish at all. I've also noticed at certain times they fill my to go containers fuller than other times I order. Today the order was a 3/10, no taste, and makes me not was to chance ordering from them again to have it not taste like anything. It is sometimes hard to find a Thai restaurant that isn't afraid to bring the heat. Thainamite doesn't hold back. My husband had the yellow curry and I had Ginger Heat. Both were delicious and quite spicy. For an appetizer, we had a couple of maki rolls - avocado and sweet potato tempura. Both we generous portions and quite delicious. All in all, I was very pleased and we will likely be back very soon for another lunch date. read more
