Mr. Papaya's Kitchen in Fresno is absolutely worth the visit. We came as a large group on a really…read morebusy day, so the wait to get seated was long... almost an hour, but honestly it wasn't a big deal. There are plenty of interesting stores around the area, so the time passed pretty quickly. Once we were seated, everything went uphill. Our server was AMAZING. Even with how busy it was, he was everywhere, serving tables, helping in the back kitchen, running back and forth, and still made sure we always had drinks and checked in on us. Huge shoutout to him because he truly went above and beyond and deserves way more credit. The food was absolutely delicious. Super flavorful, and the papaya dishes were especially good. You can tell everything was made with care. The only downside is that the restaurant felt a bit cramped since it's on the smaller side. Also, it's cash-only, but that wasn't an issue because they do accept Zelle and Venmo. Overall, great food, incredible service, and definitely a place I'd go back to for Thai food. 1/2 Had more than this to eat but didn't get all the photos.

We ordered the purple sticky rice, beef larb, papaya salad, crispy pork belly, pompano, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and pork belly with greens. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. It was very busy and we had a long wait to seat our group of 11. Service was a bit slow and they seemed understaffed, but it was understandable given how packed it was. Our server was kind, patient, and very apologetic about the wait for our food, which we really appreciated. Overall the food more than made up for the wait.

Just a heads up, the added egg topping was runny yolk style - which was delicious, but I know some folks may not like that style. The garlic steak noodles however were really good, at least a 4/5, would definitely try that again if not get more of that to-go if I'm in the area. The lychee smoothie and slushie has added lychee jelly, and both were delicious. This was roughly an $75 (+tip) meal altogether, which was, if I may be honest, a bit more expensive than what I would rate the place... however, I genuinely wanted to check the place out and I very well likely would return for other appetizers and drinks, probably not so much for the ramen.

The food came neatly packaged with everything in separate containers which I really appreciated. Let me start with the wonton appetizer. WOW! The flavor of those wontons are what dreams are made of. I'll go back just to get more of those for sure. As for the noodles, I chose the beef noodle soup with the wide noodles and it was also reallllllly good! The broth was the best part actually. The beef was tender, but could have been more flavorful. The noodles were chewy and good. My husband got the Q noodle soup and honestly it wasn't much different from the regular beef noodle soup. Overall, a very decently priced meal bursting with incredible flavor. Would definitely recommend.

We were literally sweating as we were eating. The table ordered a variety of noodle soups and also a lo mein style noodle. All of it was decent-- not super rich but also not lacking flavor. I was disappointed at how rough the chunks of beef were, especially since the beef in noodle soup is supposed to be tendonous and fall apart. As for the service, all the employees were very nice. You can tell this is a family owned and operated restaurant. Unfortunately, we did have to remind our waiter for water and utensils. I would come back and take out, or dine in on a cooler day.

Chicken was flavorful & moist. Pork belly was crispy tho a tad dry. Sticky rice was nice good! Also ordered their spring rolls, noodles & mango w/sticky rice too. Spring rolls were soft & really fresh. My preference is combo shrimp pork together but they keep theirs separate, which is fine, just different style. Peanut sauce is really great! Sometimes it's too thick & peanut buttery or too thin & vinegary at other places. Theirs is perfect! Mango was a tad under ripe. Maybe not quite in season? but again, sticky rice on point. Noodles were plentiful & delicious! Thai iced tea was really nice! Really glad I got to try LA Kitchen. Will definitely be back again

It was super crispy without being hard, easy to bite into, and not overly fatty at all. Every sauce paired perfectly with the sticky rice, pork belly, and fried chicken. The chicken itself was incredibly moist and flavorful. I was secretly hoping for crispier skin, but honestly the flavor made up for it. Before leaving, I ordered the sausage with sticky rice plus both the shrimp and pork spring rolls to-go because I already knew I was going to want more later. The spring rolls were SO fresh and delicious. The shrimp wasn't overcooked, the pork was tender, and that peanut sauce absolutely tied everything together. The sausage was another standout, very flavorful, juicy, easy to chew, and perfect with the sticky rice. My only regret was forgetting to ask for chili oil before I left... thankfully I had some at home because it took everything to the next level. Big shoutout to Lana working the front counter, she was incredibly friendly and generous the entire time. I also got to meet La herself, and she was so warm and easy to talk to. They have a large seating area on the right side of the restaurant and condiments on every table. You can genuinely tell this place puts a lot of heart into the quality and flavors they serve. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.
