It has been over two years since coming here. The 908 has certainly upped their game and has earned my five star rating. The food here is amazing, the service is quick and very accommodating, the ambiance is great. We had the cheese stuffed artichoke hearts as an appetizer, followed by their lobster roll. I opted for the garlic fries with extra garlic, my daughter had the same entree but with sweet potato fries. So many good choices!!!! I need to come back to try their maple glazed pork chop, and try their pistachio panko crusted halibut.
Great vibe here! Super spacious interior and plenty of outside seating so you can people watch at the hangar. I love sitting at the bar and taking advantage of their happy hour, some good deals on drinks and apps. The service at the bar is solid too, they make sure to tend to you frequently. Their spicy tuna stack is bomb!! Highly recommend you try this app when you go: perfect texture, generous portion, and it's actually SPICY! The picanha was tender and cooked very well, even better when topped with the chimichurri. My friend ordered the Thai curry seabass which was also delicious and very flavorful. Lastly, the tiramisu is BOMB and the perfect thing to satisfy your sweet tooth before you go! Really dig the food here and plan to come back to try more of the menu in the future!!
Fun Fact: September 8th is 908 Day in Long Beach. The day pays tribute to the city's unique Zip code, which fosters community pride. Hence the name of this restaurant. I ventured out to this neighborhood friendly establishment to meet some darling Yelp ladies for Sunday Brunch. On this lovely day, I encountered a beautiful soul named Feskeli. I wanted to soak up all her energy and carry it in my heart. We were joined by my Yelp sister Te-See - another beautiful soul that lights up the room with her infectious energy. The 908 is spacious with fun, funky artwork on the walls and a fantastic bar that takes center stage. Our server Bubba was awesome! He had a great personality and went the extra mile to ensure my friend's dietary restrictions were addressed. We adored him! I love my martinis with Blue Cheese olives and love them even more when served with a shaker on the side and that's how you get them here. Plus, it's poured at your table. Bonus points for this, and the 908 martini was delish! I typically don't eat until later in the day, so I ordered a side of fruit. The fruit was ripe, sweet, and fresh. It's worth noting that you can also order off the lunch menu during brunch. However, my friends ordered Brunch dishes. One got the 908 Omelet and the other the Classic Breakfast. Both servings were generous and reasonably priced. They enjoyed their meal and we enjoyed our time together. I made a reservation for 10 people and was thoroughly impressed with how they handled our party. We were able to get separate checks. In the morning they called to confirm whether or not we wanted to sit outside. They also asked if it was a special occasion. It was. It was a reunion three years in the making and the celebration of a birthday. Jessie was our server and he was amazing. He handled all the details and kept track of our progress without being intrusive and was helpful in taking pictures for us. You could tell he wanted to celebration to go well. He even brought out a slice of cake for our birthday girl. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The biggest compliment came from one of our parties husbands as he said he thoroughly enjoyed what he ordered. Apparently that doesn't happen often. The person sitting next to me mentioned how much she enjoyed her omelette. One of the best she's had. I the poke wrap appetizer, which was perfect for me. We were able to hear each other talk, which for 10 people as miraculous. There was energy in the air and beautiful paintings on the wall. So the atmosphere was good. And as an added bonus afterwards, you could walk around and enjoy the shops as well as a local art fair. I drove up from San Diego and have to say it was worth the drive.
Super picky when I go out to eat but came with 6 others and we were all pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed eveything I tasted and so did the others, I did think the calamari was not my favorite starter but that's because I have been spoiled with super juicy and tender calamari. The spicy tuna crispy rice dish was my favorite, I came in for the steak salad but then got more tuna with the poke bowl. It was all great and I got a side of spicy mayo and eel sauce. Our server Sergio was amazing very kind, personable and great service! Definitely recommend :) Ambiance was nice too and food came out quickly.
The service from Thu was excellent. There weren't pickles in the Knife and Fork Burger, which was a little disappointing. The Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich was good and could've benefitted from Arugula or some sort of dense green. I liked the mashed potatoes and an aioli would've complemented the sandwich better. The Ube Painkiller was unique and worth ordering.
My husband and I have visited 908 four times before, and unfortunately our past experiences were disappointing. One visit we waited over 40 minutes without being acknowledged, another time our order came out wrong, and another time the food arrived cold like it had been sitting for quite a while. Because of that, I honestly did not want to come back tonight. But I was craving a good steak, and after my husband suggested giving 908 another try, I reluctantly agreed. I noticed the filet mignon on the menu paired with broccolini and decided to go for it. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt completely different. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us immediately. A young man came over right away with waters and took our drink order, which already surprised us in the best way. Then Alex S came to our table, and he truly made the night exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I mentioned that I didn't want a large piece of butter melting over the steak, and he happily accommodated that request. He even checked on the exact ounce size of the filet for me, which I appreciated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and honestly, they were the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, not drowning in sauce, and absolutely packed with flavor. My 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The broccolini was crisp, fresh, and not overly oily. Everything tasted thoughtful, balanced, and worth every dollar. Most importantly, Alex S delivered spectacular service from start to finish. We were genuinely shocked to learn this was his first night shift because he handled the dining room with professionalism, warmth, and confidence far beyond what we expected. Thank you, Alex S, for completely changing our impression of 908. Tonight's experience was excellent, and for the first time, we are actually excited to come back. Thanks again, Jed Dornoff
Lunch at the "908" was delish. The burger was delicious. Clean eating. No sluggish feeling after eating a burger & fries. The ambiance is great. Very stylish. The customer service was great as well. Plenty of parking available. The price point is good for the quality of food you get. I can't wait to go back.
Was looking for a brunch spot. I wanted to try something different. Unexpectedly pricey ($100 for appetizer, two entrees and a kids meal of pasta with meatballs before tip). The 908 burger was delicious, picanha steak with chimichurri sauce also good, side of arugula salad also good. Kids meal came with a side (we got the Caesar salad) but the waitress failed to mention it came with a drink. We asked for a glass of milk, after seeing it on the menu. Our waitress seemed somewhat rushed; there were literally just one other table outdoors and maybe two booths occupied indoors. There was another server and he seemed more relaxed and attentive. Open space and patio dining area. Heaters for cooler nights. Good for meeting for business. It's a convenient location for travellers and hotel patrons. Lots of parking and a good space to walk around afterwards.
The 908 is one of the full service restaurants at the Long Beach Exchange near the Long Beach Airport serving typical American fare, from burgers and sandwiches to main entrees of fish, pasta and beef with a full bar and lively atmosphere. They also have a seasonal menu which I took full advantage to order their chicken pot pie. Their take on a chicken pot pie was absolutely well presented and delicious. It was chocked full of tender chicken and mixed vegetable in a rich creamy gravy with the flakey puff pastry gave it that contrasting texture that is warm and comforting. Service was very good. The 908 is great for groups as depending upon the size, you can sit in a large open table or an oversized booth. They also offer outdoor seating. They do have oversized TV's in the open bar area to watch sporting events. Parking is plentiful and easy as part of the Long Beach Exchange. The 908 is definitely a great place to meet friends and hang out over good food and cocktails in the Long Beach area.
Made reservations here with family while visiting Anaheim area. The restaurant has an great atmosphere. Very modern with mood lighting, enough to still see menu. The have a full bar of spirits and wine, did not look for beer (not my thing). We were sat upon arrival as it was not too busy. The waitress greeted us within 3-5 minutes of being sat. I ordered an old fashioned with woodford reserve and my wife had a lemon drop with Tito's. The old fashioned was pretty tasty and bourbon forward (my desire). My wife enjoyed her lemon drop which was a great balance of sweetness and vodka. To eat we had the Short Rib, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and salmón. Short Rib: A tender portion of short rib on top of mashed potatoes and broccolini ( we subbed this for the asparagus). The short Rib was tender with good flavor ( good be deeper), the potatoes were smooth and creamy ( smaller portion than expected), the broccolini was overcooked ( hard to bite ). The dish is served with short rib on top of broccolini on top of potatoes and all covered with a brown gravy. The spicy chicken sandwich is fried in between two brioche buns, the chicken was not overly breaded and is tossed in what tastes like buffalo sauce. Almost tastes like a buffalo wing sandwich with crispy fries. My cousin ate the salmon and I did not get a picture . Was a medium sized salmon filet season with herbs and broccolini (standard with asparagus) and potatoes. Drinks were on point , food was ok, service was excellent.

I've been to LBX multiple times but never noticed this restaurant! Overall, the menu is very appealing including their cocktails and we happened to be there during happy hour. The environment itself is pretty chill, it seems more up scale than other restaurants i've been to and the staff were all very nice. I wanna say the only thing that docks points were the tacos I ordered, they were okay but overall very sweet and lacked seasoning in my opinion. On the other hand, their spinach & artichoke dip was amazing! I think I would definitely come back for some cocktails and appetizers but maybe not for entrees. read more
I adventured here on one of my favorite holidays, haha, Valentine's Day! I got a reservation via the Yelp app at 7:15 PM in a last-minute scramble. This place gets so much hype on Yelp, so I had to see what it was all about. Upon walking in, it's a big restaurant with plenty of bar and patio seating. We luckily got patio seating, and yes, there were heaters! But not any pointing at me, so I was pretty damn cold. Lamar helped us out, made some small talk with us, and gave us some recommendations. He was an excellent waiter and even took pictures of us for Valentine's Day. I enjoyed the Prime Rib Dip; it was flavorful and juicy, but the bread was okay. I did not like the calamari because there were too many cherry peppers that looked like calamari. I have been staying away from hot food, so I was annoyed accidently eating this. read more

Really enjoyed thos restaurant. The food was excellent. Presentation of the food was awesome. Our server Sapphire was great! We had a meeting with our group there and it wasn't too loud where we couldn't hear each other. The restaurant is open and inviting. I will definitely be back. read more
5 stars for incredible service! Daniel, our server was incredible and honestly if I had my own restaurant, I would've wanted someone like him because he is a fantastic waiter. The following rating is for food alone and not a reflection on the establishment's service itself. 1 star for the food... it's like pricey bar food. They had some adventurous items on the menu like shrimp pho burger and shrimp, lobster, melon salad as well as some classics like prime rib dip sandwich and roasted bone marrow. All fell flat. I had high hopes for the place and really tried to love the food, but there was just nothing to love. For the shrimp pho burger, the flavors just seem to clash. It also was overly strong in terms of sauce and yet also not very flavorful for the burger itself which made a weird combo. My friend ordered the prime rib dip sandwich, and cried while eating it - he was surprised the horseradish came on the sandwich rather than on the side and felt that it overpowered the sandwich. He ended up unable to finish even half, and thanks to our incredible patient and kind waiter Daniel the meal was saved when Daniel replaced his remaining half sandwich with a no-horseradish prime rib dip. All in all, the 908 is a cute establishment with excellent service, but the food on the menu needs a rework. 5 stars for the service (excellent!) but 1 star for the food and since we were here for the food, 2 stars overall. read more

Took a couple of clients there for lunch. Like the variety on their menu. I do think their prices are a little high. Lunch cost me well over $120 without tip! Food is consistently good and rarely have to wait too long for a table. read more
Walked in on Mother's Day with my two kids and a doggie. Thank god for their patio! 5/5 Saw that there were a bunch of doggy families and they even brought a little bowl of water for him. The food is great. 4/5 The ambiance is even better, and their SERVICE is what's best. 5/5 We didn't have to wait at all, and I really had a great experience here. Located at the LBX with tons of shopping and restaurants. Descent ample parking. I'd come back here for a special occasion. read more

This is my 2nd time here, and I really tried to give it another chance, but I just wasn't impressed. This restaurant is located in the lbx exchange, which parking can be a challenge especially on the weekends. We had their brunch menu and I ordered their caprese avocado toast and my friend and I shared the mimosa. The avocado was so bland, and the it wasn't even mashed up. The orange juice paired with the full champagne bottle was very tiny - almost like a shot glass. When we asked the waiter if we can get more orange juice, he said it was going to be $5 extra. My friend had ordered their classic breakfast, and she asked for hot sauce, and they only had salsa. The last time we were here they didn't have hot sauce either. It's just odd that a place like this would not have any in stock. Also, we noticed a lot of little flies around, maybe it's just the area, but we were kind of turned off to the fact that it was indoors and consistently around out table. I probably will not come here again. It's overpriced for the service and food. read more
Been here more than the ten times Yelp shows me checking in. Guess it's times I finally drop a review. First off - it's at the LBX. Free parking. Gets busy and you might have to walk a bit, but it's free! There's a happy hour. Came for happy hour more than a few times. Bar seating. Tables and booths. Tables outdoors. Sat at them all. Great service no matter where I sat too. Attentive. Friendly. Fun. Good drinks and good food. At least I can say I've not had a bad drink or meal. I've ordered off the drinks menu and had some whiskey pours that weren't on the menu too. Enjoyed them all. I'm not working out of the Long Beach area any more but still managed to drop by one day after work. It's one of those places I just feel comfortable. I just always have a good time at The 908. read more

Most things went very smooth until about 6pm when the dinner rush hit. I think our waitress was given way more sections than she could handle on her own because I could see her physically running. She handled everything pretty well, i might add. Food here is good for what you pay for. Not that it's a bad thing, but i feel the food is just slightly over priced for what is given. $125 for a tomahawk chop +2 sides and two of our sides came out waaaaaay after the steak did because our waitress was running around. $25 for 4 inches of roasted bone marrow split in half. Drinks were phenomenal however. I would def come back for the drinks. read more

Time to go out of my area to Long Beach for some lunch this afternoon. As I was drinking coffee at a coffee shop, I was searching to somewhere different, and I've found this place The 908 in Long Beach, California. It's known for their tasty American food. I started off with a app... Pork and beef meatballs. and then I ordered a 908 burger (medium). Pork and beef meatballs was pretty tasty. Great flavors which I liked. Not too bad. 908 burger was also good. Even though it wasn't cooked to medium. It was more of medium well, but I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it, mainly because it was still a little juicy and flavorful. Service here was amazing. Angie (server) did a wonderful job making sure I got what I need. I can tell she's been in this industry for so long based on great experience and personality. Thank you Angie. Overall, for right now I'm giving this place 4 stars. But will be back for something else to try. Thanks for reading. read more

The 908 is a solid restaurant located in the LBX/Hangar area. Came here recently for the 2nd time for a lunch date. I was able to try a couple of appetizers, drinks, and lunch entrees and I would say my overall impression was exactly the same as the first time I visited. Everything was solid but nothing really stood out that made me particularly want to go back. I do like the venue and the ambiance and I think it's in a great location for lunch or evening drinks. Service was also fast and friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning any time soon...not because the food was bad, it's just that after trying 7-8 different menu items with no stand outs I'm not sure it would be worth it for my personal preference. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and got seated immediately for a party of 2. We were seated outside where the weather was perfect and some chill music was playing. There were also a lot of good smells from all the food being cooked around the general area. We split a calamari for appetizers and I ordered a picanha for my main. The calamari came with a red sauce and a white sauce. The red sauce is spicy and has a nice kick, while the white sauce was just really good. It was not tartar sauce. I really liked the fried pickled peppers that were in the dish. The calamari had a good crunch and some chew, but it tasted very good. Some pieces were brittle and hard to pick up with a fork and it eventually turns to finger food near the end. If I was it in public I would've licked the plate clean. The picanha I ordered was a sirloin with chimichurri, an arugula salad, and garlic fries. The meat was very good and cooked to the medium rare that I asked for. The fries are honestly nothing special but still warm and nice. I normally dislike arugula but this salad was so good that it made me forget that. There was a lot of extra chimichurri for me to pour everywhere. The highlight for me was the steak. Some of the pieces had great crust and yummy fat. I really enjoyed my experience here. I also like how much range in price the menu has. This is a good spot for anyone stopping by in Long Beach looking for a nice meal. read more
My first time here and it was phenomenal! Ella is the best server ever. We loved her energy and recommendations. The food was amazing. I loved how fresh the tuna was. The sauce was very complementary to the poke wraps. And it came with avocado! I wish the ceviche had more shrimp, but the flavors were jam packed! Everything on the menu is a hit. The customer service is top tier. Plenty of parking in the back. Didn't have alcoholic beverages this visit but usually do and the bar always has excellent signature drinks to choose from. Delicious! read more
A bit bummed on service for our recent visit. My wife and I arrived at 6:30 on a Tuesday night. Relatively easy going crowd but after being seated we were told our server would be right with us. A couple minutes later, we had somebody drop off water for the table but that would be the last moment we would have staff approach our table for the next 20minutes... I ended up having to flag down a server because it seemed our table got missed or didn't have a server assigned. Really not sure what happened but turns out we flagged down Alex who was gracious and awesome for the rest of the night. Food here at 908 has always been very solid- reminds me of a slightly upscale yard house if you will. Note: Happy Hour from 3-6PM every Monday-Friday! read more
This restaurant is in the midst of an industrial area of Long Beach. Pne wouldn't expect to find a charming, upscale & comfy dining destination here. We came for a late lunch with family. Was a great dinner experience with the family! A bonus is that they have a pet friendly patio so our two dogs got to come with us. We got the calamari and bone marrow to share. The calamari was good but was surprised to see there were onions and jalapenos mixed in the fry. The bone marrow was a favorite. The prime rib was delicious and a very sharable size. Specializing in contemporary American cuisine, The 908 also offers outdoor seating on a lovely patio, allowing us to bask in the warm sun. I thought the service was attentive and delightful as she made sure we were enjoying our meal. What I ordered: FRENCH "PRIME" DIP - Without a doubt, it deserves an instant five-star rating. This sandwich embodied all my culinary checklist, from its TENDER, soft French roll to the SUCCULENT, thinly sliced Prime rib, and not to forget the fiery horseradish that could bring tears to your eyes. Complementing it all was a delicate au jus for dipping, which completed the experience FLAWLESSLY. Went here for brunch with a friend. The service, drinks, food, and chairs were great. My friend is gluten free and was able to have the steak chilaquiles. I had the chorizo ones. They were really good with a good heat level . I would like to come again and try their mom brunch menu as the food for dinner also looked good. read more

Came to this place with my family. I've been here before, and the food is pretty decent. The customer service was great, and the restaurant was clean inside and out. Our waitress was very polite and sat and had a brief conversation with us. This place would be a cool place to take someone on a date or simply take your family out to eat. The parking can be a little nerve-racking due to a lot of other food places in the area. read more

Really like this plaza. It's been a while since I played at Skylinks golf course and found this place to grab a beer afterwards. Great happy hour. The food was delicious and the prices were even better. Love the ceviche and artichoke dip. Poutine fries were good but wish it had more gravy on it. First time dining at the 908 in Long Beach located at the Hanger. All thumbs up in my book from the ambiance to the helpful friendly staff to the delicious cuisine all at comparative price. Lamar, our waiter, was friendly and efficient and made our birthday celebration dinner great without any hiccups.
