We love this place! We've celebrated my birthday here for Tiki Tuesdays a couple months ago, and again for my partners birthday a couple nights ago. Both times were great and a lot of fun. We noticed new drink menu with 1-2 drinks we hadn't seen before, and a different food menu (aloha burger was tasty!). We had a reservation for 6, and called ahead to ask if we could bring a birthday cake. They were super accommodating for us, and our server was very cool asking me aside if he should bring the cake out as a surprise or just out to everyone. I can't believe I've walked by this place in the past without a second glance. What an awesome cocktail bar, restaurant and overall atmosphere! The bar is beautiful and has a great selection of spirits. Cocktails are numerous, both in classics and originals, and they don't disappoint. Prices are decent, in the $10-14 range which is pretty standard nowadays. Service is great and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable but not intrusive. There is a good amount of gluten free options, including wings and beet hummus, which are delicious, and portions are generous! I wish I lived closer. It's nice to be able to go out to a place and trust in the quality of service, drink and food. Expect to spend some money, but it's worth every penny. read more

Menu is incredibly limited and massively unhealthy. Our server was great but everything else was not. The French Onion Soup was so salty it was inedible. My Fiancé got the cheek jowl sandwich which was OK but tasted funny. He asked for the fries well done and they were soggy. I ordered the burger rare with a couple of changes (no cheese and sauce on the side) and it came out loaded with cheese, sauce and was crispy. Ended up sending it back. It's too bad when you pay for a $100 dinner and go home hungry. I used to love this place but will not be going back. Wonderful drinks. Tiki Tuesday's are my favorite. Their menu becomes a "Tiki" theme and their drinks do as well. The Zombie is great. Comes out with a shot inside a lime that is on fire. Totally a cool experience. This place is a bit pricey. My drink was around $15. Definitely a date night vibe. Inside has a pretty dark romantic atmosphere. Where to begin. I was looking forward to visiting and trying the Rocky Mountain Oysters. When I walked in, I was offered the bar - which seems the standard offer for all single diners. I asked for a table and pointed to one that was near. I was told no and shown to a small table tucked away against a wall that was uncomfortable. The host was also my server and was not a very pleasant man. I ordered a drink (spoiler, it was the only good thing about this place), rocky mountain oysters and a side of mac and cheese. Both dishes were lacking in flavor. The mac and cheese was lacking cheese so it was basically dry pasta. The oysters simply tasted fried. Sadly, not the experience I was hoping for. Yes, they take a minute to come out but if you glance at the bar you can watch 1-2 experts muddling fresh berries or discussing the benefits of one gin over the other with patrons. They are worth the wait! Favorite? The Clover Club. Some of the food. I preface this because some of the food isn't that great but the Mac&Cheese is one of my favorites as well as the cheese pretzel, the pierogi, and the schnitzel. Downers: The food takes a minute, this isn't a fast food place. But sometimes it takes a little too long for my style. It's really dark and generally quite loud at night. So I come to the tavern a lot, being a local. And tonight I absolutely admit I was That Guy - the grumpy, overtired toddler patron I'm sure the host and hostess pray they don't encounter. The wait was long - an hour and a half from the estimated 30/45 minutes. I was dying, low on calories. None of the tables were moving. They had an overfull room upstairs of waiting people. I finally marched downstairs and told them we were leaving. Daniel listened patiently to me rant at him about things he had no control over & said he'd take care of some of our drinks from upstairs (an effective salve). I'd consider myself a pretty patient person but the service here really took it out of me. We waited 15 minutes just for our drinks, almost another 30 on top for our food. We had even made it before the rush came in and seen people who came in after us being more attended to. The problem might've been that we didn't order any alcohol but I've never had this problem at other pubs and bars in the past, especially ones that've put so much work into their atmosphere. When we finally got our food (we both got the Arvada Burger) it was good, a little dry but serviceable. The fries were hard and my mother who asked if she could get her salad a bit before her sandwich was given a exasperated sigh by our waitress. And no the price wasn't good for the mediocre meal either. If you're going here, possibly go for the stylish drinks and sit at the bar where you'll get prompt service. Wonderful little spot in old town arvada. Romantic and charming- it was the perfect place to celebrate our birthday dinner. The drinks look amazing! The schnitzel was great and they brought out complimentary birthday dessert complete with candles, Service was amazing and it's such a cool little spot with a speakeasy upstairs. The speakeasy wasn't open went we went but the staff was friendly enough to take us upstairs and show us around and she even threw in a couple of ghost stories! Great place! read more

This is a swanky, upscale, romantic, speak-easy type bar and restaurant. I went with a female friend to drink fancy cocktails and really enjoyed watching all of the awkward dates. The bartender was friendly and efficient and the drinks were terrific (can't remember the exact name but grey lavender or something like that). My friend ordered a cannoli but I didn't care too much for it- way too sweet for my tastes. The bill was a little high but you gotta remember you are paying for the experience. They have a cute phonebooth in the corner and on Friday and Saturday nights you go through it to access the upstairs (I believe this is the speak-easy part since it is technically hidden) but because we were there on a Monday night, we didn't get the pleasure of going upstairs. The parking is slightly tricky because it is street parking in Old Arvada so maybe take an Uber on a busy night. read more
