Good food , good service. Sat at the bar. Enough for carry out. Most tables were full.

I thought The Auburn Taverna was fantastic! I'm not from downriver and many were mentioning that it's a must try. The food was great and the pita was so soft! Our server was so kind, and ambiance and decor of the place makes it a great date night spot.

Water was bad never trying again it tasted like water straight from a dirty butt out of a well never try again. I would rather drink water out of the sewer.

The food was good overall. However, the lemon potatoes were super crispy, like potato chips instead of lemon potatoes. What makes that worse- they were $11 for very mediocre, over cooked potatoes. They lacked in flavor, or rather had no flavor. The gyro was good, but it had very limited onion on it and one tomato with a super tiny side of tzatziki. The grape leaves har a decent amount in them and had a good taste. We also ordered the dip sampler, which consists of 3 4oz containers of skordalia, spicy feta, and tzatziki. I asked the bartender who got my carryout for me if there was bread in the bag for it. She said yes, and for the grape leaves. I always have to check my food. There was 2 pieces for all that food. I asked for some more since that's a lot of food for such little bread. She acted like it was an insane request. She got me the bread and charged me $1 a slice. I spent $60 on food and couldn't even get some extra bread for 12oz of dips. I asked how it would work if I dined instead of carryout and she said I would be charged... Ok

I really love the salads here and the gluten free bread basket. The food is good and the service is great. Nice bright clean place to eat.

Absolutely loved this place. I grew up going to the original in Ecorse and this totally hit the mark.

I want to love this place, but I can only like it. The food is too hit and miss for me to "not be…read moreable to wait" until my next visit. I'll eat here, but not as often as i would if they polished up their menu/execution. The chicken dishes, all of them, are terrible. They advertise "tender chicken cut into slices," but if you look at any of the pics on here, it's all the same - tiny, little chicken bits, dry and overcooked. The more obscure dishes are the way to go. They fail hard on the basics, but hit home runs on their more unheard of menu items. If you've never heard of something, but it sounds good - that's what you should order here. Chicken lemon rice: 3/10 Not enough chicken, lemon tastes artificial and weird, soup is bland. I've had better CLR at most any coney island. Chicken Gyro: 3/10 Chicken was dry, the orzo was dry and overcooked, tziki sauce was thick and lacked flavor. Plenty of chicken... I would have rather had less chicken, cooked better. I haven't seen their chicken kabob, but it seems like this place uses the thick part of their breast for the kabobs, and uses the scraps bits for all of their other dishes. Grape Leaves: 7/10 Good flavor, good sauce... wish the CLR soup tasted as good as the sauce from the grape leaves. Stifado: 9/10 Excellent dish. Good amount of beef, great flavor, nice stew. This is the dish that I would come back for. Bread basket: Bread: 4/10 - they serve the bread ice cold. Olive oil: 9/10 - excellent flavor, super light, nice lemon zest Service: 8.5/10 - good job. They had one guy for all 8 or so tables, but did he did a good job covering them. The busser/assistant did a good job at keeping our waters and bread full, but he tries to carry too much, and it causes a big distraction (glasses clunking, nearly falling over, re-stacking)... sometimes two trips is better than one... He also says "of course" (pet peeve) when someone says "thank you." Perhaps I'm weird, but I find that terribly dismissive, and off-putting.
