We found a new place thats definitely a repeater - the Aussie Grind. Everything is so fresh - you taste it in every bite. The wait staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is easy and calming. It was truly a great first experience. I had the chicken and Brie with rosemary fries. Mmmmmm. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and the Brie with cranberry had a delightful taste combination. And fresh rosemary on my fries was a bonus.

First off, this is a place with a very small space. The whole establishment can't be more than thirty feet wide. The service team seems to be just that. In a more traditional setting, a single server would be taking care of you. At the AG, the whole team seems to be involved. It sort of works. Now to the food. The pancakes were stellar. With various fruits, vanilla ice cream, syrup and creme anglais it seems an odd combination but MAN it works! Completely delicious. As for the fish and chips, they were good but not spectacular. I was hoping for a more crispy batter, but this one kind of missed the mark. As for the rptartar sauce, it had a spicy note. Also not expected. All in all, it was good, and a great value.

I found this place in the nearby activity section on Yelp and we decided to check them out while we were in Frisco. The ambiance walking in was nice. They also had relaxing music playing and that sat very well with me since we had just come from a nearby festival that was really loud. It was the perfect atmosphere to decompress a little! Our server was great. Super friendly and helpful . He was also very efficient. I ordered the Fish and Chips for my main meal and a Vanilla Slice for dessert. The Fish & Chips were a perfect meal for a Friday during Lent. Perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. The Vanilla Slice was pretty good, but there are so many other sweets in this place I will try instead on future visits.

Solid place for breakfast / brunch food in Frisco! I visited The Aussie Grind with a few friends for brunch on a Sunday. Upon arriving at around 10am, we put our name down and had to wait maybe 20ish minutes outside before being seated (as a party of 4). Once we were seated, service was relatively fast despite how busy it was inside. I ordered the breakfast pizza which has bacon, fried eggs, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and BBQ sauce. This is basically a flatbread with a great mix of toppings for breakfast time, and I especially loved the sweetness that the BBQ sauce added to the dish! My fiance got the breaky gnocchi which has bacon and poached eggs and comes on top of a bed of spinach. While the texture of the gnocchi was nice, this dish was unfortunately way too oily towards the bottom of the plate plus it wasn't as flavorful as we would have liked.

The reviews don't lie. This place is worth the hype! We arrived around 9:30/10am on a Saturday and were seated immediately. My friend ordered the salmon bagel and loved it! My chai latte was easily one of the best 'restaurant' lattes I've ever ordered. My Big Breaky was hearty and delicious. I have to return and try the French toast with ice cream.

Opens earlier than most coffee in the area. Offering sweet and savory items. Very aesthetic for pics with great customer service. Nick was great to chat with. I'm a fan of shrimp pasta here, they make it al dente. Pastries are my go to with coffee when I'm on the go.

My previous review was a mistake (it was meant for another business) so I decided to make it right by coming here. I have also heard so much good things about this so I also decided to celebrate a friend's birthday. They don't take reservations so better get there early cause weekends are busy. I had the salmon and it was good but the sweet chilly glaze sauce didn't feel like it complement the salmon. Maybe it just wasn't my preference so I'll order something else next time. The side cabbage that came with it was also lackluster. My friend had a beef burger sub sweet potato fries which was good. She ordered a coffee and we shared an affogato which was really good. Really nice staff but I do feel the food was a little underwhelming. I'll probably come back here another time to give it another shot because I'm thinking it's just what I ordered. Thus, a conservative 3 stars for now

Australia in Frisco! The Aussie Grind is my Tuesday brunch ritual -- cozy vibes, craft coffee, and delicious food. My go-to is the lavender oat milk latte, the omelette with blistered tomatoes, and anything with their jam or bagels. A true Frisco favorite for brunch lovers!

This was a fun find. Went for lunch with my friend. It was pretty packed but we were seated immediately in a 2 ppl table. The place is so cozy inside. I do want to go back and try other dishes. My salad was tasty and huge. I got it with the vinaigrette on the side and it was a good call. My friend had the penne pasta and she loved it. Their coffee is good too. And the service was excellent. Definitely going back to try more!

I haven't had grilled halloumi since I left Melbourne and this place reminded me absolutely of any higher end breakfast cafe along an Australian beach. We tried a flat white as well as a honey and banana smoothie along with an avocado toast and rocky road French toast. My avo toast came with grilled sweet corn, pickled red onion slices, arugula and a crème beet sauce. Wow! Everything was beautifully plated. It's busy on a weekend but the service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely try this place again anytime I want to "staycation" and feel like treating myself.

All I can say is wow! This felt like an exclusive brunch spot that is a MUST visit if you're in Frisco. The food is fantastic! The Aussie Grind breakfast reminded me of a similar dish I had in the UK but was on another level with the chutney jam and fresh local bread - YUM! The cappuccino also went above and beyond with a nice chocolate powdered layer on top. It was delicious! The restaurant does feel a bit congested with limited small tables that are very close to your neighbors, and you have to raise your voice quite a bit over the loud music. But, I got over it, because what really made our 1st time experience here great was our server, Grace. She had such a pleasant personality that could make anyone have an amazing start off to their day. Overall, with such good service, diverse menu selection and quality food, I would highly recommend this spot!

I was just in Australia before having to come back due to the corona virus outbreak, I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. Walked in and the staff was very nice and friendly and I loved feel of place as well! Didn't really no what to order so I went with the fish and chips ($14). I didn't really know what to expect but after tasting it I'm actually really disappointed. The fish is a bland and was way over fried. The portion size for the amount of money seemed way too much. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star rating, but fish n chips is just a big NO. read more

What a treat this place is; from the decor to the best part: the coffee and food. We both had a latte and it was so smooth, I didn't need a sweetener. We also got the warm banana bread with homemade whipped cream and berry compote. It was so good I asked if they were thinking about selling it by the jar and they said they may. I got their Welbourne juice to go and it was delicious. Anxious to go back and try their other juices and food from the menu. Their menu is quite interesting. Looking forward to the iced coffee in the summer. What a great addition to Frisco. read more

The ONLY place to go for a great cup of coffee! Their espresso is absolutely perfect and the service is even better. We've ordered pickup at least 15 times from Aussie Grind and every exchange has been wonderful. We always get the eggs benny (10/10 you have to try it), bacon and egg roll, the Aussie iced coffee (100/10 my personal fav) and the iced hazelnut latte (15/10)! Ps. The Co-owner (wife?) is the sweetest person we've ever met! read more

Menu is easy and delicious! Everything is fresh and the coffee is amazing! Gnocchi killed it, the avocado toast hit the spot and the lamb salad is completely guilt-free. Even my 9-yr-old niece found something delicious on the menu- which is saying a lot (pancake and vanilla shake). This is a happening place. There is a constant flow of people here every time I have been here and I have been here 5 times now. The food is fresh and tastes fresh. Aussie Grind brings authentic Australian flavors to Frisco and it is wonderful. They make fresh coffee with beans from Australia and have muffins and slices of cake. The burgers has one of the best flavor; yes, they really do! I like their beef salad because it is a little spicy. I love the cute and sophisticated decor and the koala bears just make me smile. My kids even like it and we are not beholden to the same old meals served in 95% of the other Frisco restaurants (not counting the ethnic food restaurants that have thankfully increased and given us more variety). Service here is friendly and this restaurant is locally owned by a cute Australian couple. The one improvement I would make is the noise level. It is a little loud when the restaurant is full. Maybe something to help absorb the sound would be nice. read more

What a great place! We had a 15 min wait before being greeted by the owner, very friendly and inviting. Our waitress was both friendly and extremely helpful with our order. We enjoyed some of the chocolate chip cake with fruit coulis...a pretty tasty appetizer...with a Brisbane juice, a couple of shakes and a pumpkin spice latte. All were very good. Our brunch consisted of the chicken and Brie sandwich, avo smash with eggs, and the sourdough with eggs, ham and rosemary potatoes...we were really hungry! Everything was great, a delicious way to enjoy the day. We are definitely going back -- highly recommend! read more

We decided to try this cute little place bc how often do I get to try food from Australia? The owner helped me pick my path to a perfect cup of coffee! My guy chose the cold house coffee and liked his too. Then I decided on the Breaky Gnocchi and adding mushrooms . That was a winner hands down and my guy really liked his breakfast pizza. We took an iced mocha to go for my daughter as well. The service was friendly and helpful. We didn't want for anything except for more room in my stomach read more

Aussie Grind is a wonderful place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is unique and varied, the drinks are really good and imaginative! The staff is incredible. I love the concept and it is so cute inside! One of the guys there is Australian and I'm glad they tried to bring the healthy, cafe Aussie type of food to Dfw. It's good for brunch as there are lots of drinks and brekkie foods. We came when they were pretty new and hopefully working out some kinks. Food and drinks: 3 stars 1- ordered a matcha latte and this was horrible. It was like it was 3% matcha and 97% milk. The drink was a extremely pale almost non existent green- I couldn't taste the matcha at all. They need to fix this drink stat! (Worst I've ever had anywhere to be honest) 2- we ordered entrees, the salmon and the fish & chips. It took them 40 min+ to bring out the order due to some "confusion". Food itself was decent Staff was nice though and gave us half off on the food because it took so long to come out. Hence the 4 stars. I'm sure when they work out the kinks this place will be a solid 5. Please fix the matcha latte, I beg you. read more

We really enjoyed The Aussie Grind! The service was efficient and very friendly! We thought we were trying a new coffee shop, but it was more of a restaurant so we ordered breakfast as well. I had the avocado toast and my date ordered the eggs benedict, both were delicious. More importantly, we each had a skinny vanilla latte (they do not have skim milk, only 2%) and it was one of the best lattes we've had! I also love their cups they use - it's the little things for me. . We will definitely be returning. read more

Breakfast as usual was delicious i know an omelette can be just an omelette but tits delicious here and the little side salad it comes w is very very good . My wife always gets the gnocchi breakfast which sounds weird but she swears by it . The staff as well is very accommodating and Jordan is great super friendly and has jokes to go with the breakfast so food and laughs! read more

Ehhhh .... had the breakfast gnocchi and the shrimp pasta and banana bread, only good thing was the shrimp pasta, I will definitely give it another try because it was busy and during a lunch rush but service was not very good, didn't refill our drinks and service was slow/backed up. When got our food my order was the wrong item so had to wait more to get what I ordered. Will go when less busy and update. It is a cute place and probably worth trying! Coffee was good. read more

So. Freaking. Amazing. Great service, food and, coffee. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a woman (owner maybe??) who welcomed us in and took time to explain the different coffees. She gave ya suggestions (both ) and was overall just so friendly and welcoming. We had a mushroom salad with chicken. The chicken and mushrooms were flavored perfectly. This is one of the best breakfast/lunch places in Frisco! It's phenomenal! It was our first time in and It beyond exceeded my expectations! We ordered way more than we should have and everything was delicious from the mocha frappe, to the fresh juices all the way to the most amazing hotcakes I have ever had (which we had for dessert because they are topped with ice cream). We are actually already planning to go back tomorrow for breakfast to try something else! read more

Best banana bread I've ever had and I'm not even a fan of banana bread! The mocha was bomb and chocolatey My friend got the flat white and he's a lover of milk so this hit the spot for him! Will definitely be returning to try their food! Oh and the service was awesome! My server was the cute lady with the blue hair. Came here for the first time and was amazed by the service - we had Jordan as our waitress and she made the entire experience unforgettable. She was super friendly and kind and helpful with recommending menu items and drinks - we ended up getting everything she suggested and we were not disappointed!! Food was amazing, had a little mess up on one order but Jordan fixed it for us right away so it was no problem at all. We got Brisbane juice spiked w vodka per Jordan's suggestion, it was DELICIOUS. The Tasman was also really good. The hotcakes were amazing, the blueberry jam stuff they circle around the plate was sooooo gooood. The whole staff was super nice, from the man who sat us at our table to those who said goodbye as we left - I look forward to coming back soon!! read more

I just ate here for the first time this morning, and I have to say it is definitely one of my new favorite breakfast places to go to. I had the privilege of having Jordan as my waitress, who was so personable, funny, and attentive. The customer service here is unmatched, and the food is just as good. I got the Hobart omelet, beyond meat sausage link, and the Tasman cocktail, which were all so delicious and satisfying. I will 100% be coming here again just based on the wonderful environment alone, and I can't wait to try other things the menu has to offer! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Lui M.

Together with wife Angie, they started and operated a successful cafe in Brisbane “Honour Espresso” which operated for 8 Years. They were voted "Cyclist coffee shop of the year" in 2017 for Australia and New Zealand. A pipeline dream to have a shop in Texas became a reality in 2018, and the huge move from Australia to Frisco began.

The manager seemed more inconvenienced than concerned and advised us to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for the next available table. At no point was an apology offered for their oversight, nor was there any effort made to acknowledge or resolve the situation in a customer-focused manner. If the manager and the hostesses of a diner lack professionalism, organization, and accountability on the frontline, it raises concerns about their overall operations and the integrity and quality of their food preparation in the back. I will not be returning to this establishment and will make sure to advise all my friends, colleagues, and family to stay away from this place.

Disappointing Experience Due to Unprofessional Service We recently dined at Aussie Grind, hoping for a pleasant meal, but were met with disappointing service. The waitress assigned to our table displayed highly unprofessional behavior. She persistently directed her attention towards me in a flirtatious manner, to the extent of excluding my wife from nearly all interactions. Her approach was not only uncomfortable but also disrespectful, as she visibly ignored my wife, even turning her back to her while engaging with me. And not just one time, but every time to exclude my wife. Would ask me if I needed anything while completely ignoring my wife. Even after I started making it overtly clear that I was having nothing to do with her, she went out of her way to stand behind my wife and bend down to try and catch my eyes. This culminated in her offering me a complimentary muffin without extending the courtesy to my wife. Quite frankly, she never cared to ask my wife about her food or anything, treating her like she was in the way. If this is how a woman has to try and flirt and find a man, not only is she desperate, but I have pitty for any man who picks up on the ugliness she leaves behind. We came to Aussie Grind expecting a friendly and inclusive atmosphere but left feeling uneasy and rather pissed off. This experience has unfortunately tainted our perception of the restaurant, and we hope that the management will address such behaviors to improve the dining experience for all patrons. read more

The Rocky Road French toast was subpar, and the breakfast pizza was just okay. It lacked seasoning and flavor. It felt more like an American take on Australian food rather than authentic cuisine. Service: Our server seemed overworked and overstimulated. He appeared very tired and wasn't very responsive. When I asked for recommendations, he had nothing to suggest and wasn't engaging at all. Food was amazing as usual (only reason I gave 2 stars), service was not. Very disappointing lunch service today. My family has been going to Aussie Grind for 7 years and we have never had poor service until today. We walked in with it half empty, so I assumed we would be waited on, unfortunately after sitting down and waiting at least 5 minutes, I had to walk up and ask for service. No apology- just wanted to know what we wanted to order. My drink order did not come out as requested. Food was delivered and then she walked away- no enjoy or need anything. No one ever checked on us again until someone asked if they could take our dishes away and I asked for the ticket. A different waiter came and asked if I was ready to cash out. So disappointing, I will see who is providing service next time we decide to go to Aussie Grind to decide if I will stay or not. read more

I LOVE THIS SPOT!!! I'd been meaning to visit this place for such a long time, and finally got the chance to about two week ago. Firstly, the food is absolutely impeccable. I'm a huge fan of avocado toast; if you are too, you need to try their take on it. You won't be disappointed! Next, the coffee is wonderful. You have a large variety, as well as an inclusivity of different diets (i.e. sugar-free). You also have the chance to get either outdoor or indoor seating. The staff is so personable! I really like to eat breakfast food but usually the place I go doesn't matter because the food is generally the same. I'm here in Dallas for vaca for few days,literally obsessed with this place. Had to come back a second time before i left. I would recommend the salmon eggs ben and one their fresh juices. Jordan made us feel very very welcome during both of our visits. She was attentive and helped us in any way possible. Thank you to her and the rest of the amazing staff. The Aussie Grind seems to be way overhyped. The restaurant is super tiny, with crowded seating that makes it difficult to get comfortable. It was so loud that the staff couldn't hear us, which made the service frustrating. The food was just alright, nothing special that would make me want to come back.
