It starts out as $3.75 then you get charged for the additions/substitutions... ended up being about $5 or something. I dk how that happened... but I was too hungry. It's okay and definitely filled me up. I really wished they didn't microwave the eggs. If they cooked em over a grill... they'd probably get better reviews and business. Had the California dream on super seed bagel. The bagel itself was nice but the whole combo tasted pretty bland. But still came back the next day cause craving a simple bagel with cream cheese and this totally hit the spot!! The chive cream cheese has actual pieces of chives in it and tastes delicious. I would say below average. Had their HBO bagel and a sausage, egg and ham burrito. We went based on yelp reviews being that were not local. They microwave cook everything which is kinda disappointing. The taste wasn't anything memorable or something I'd ever try again. The plain bagel would be the most I'd get there. Just a plain bagel with cream cheese but none of their breakfast menu. Not sure how the deli sandwiches compare to their breakfast ones but the breakfast ones we're dissatisfying for sure. The bathroom was out of TP (being that it was early, you'd think the bathroom would be at least clean and stocked) and completely dirty. I'm talking dirty walls, stained dirty sink that hasn't been washed for ages and filthy floors. I've seen cleaner gas stations in the middle of no where. Lol. Sadly I have to do a bad review on this place, was one of my favorites... I was made to wait a lot longer then any of the customers because I kept being over looked. The lady there rang the bell for help and the youngest girl there went by me ( while I'm waiting at the register. How do you over look someone in front of you?!?) she decided to help others instead. Not till everyone was helped (10-15min later) did she finally decide to ask if I needed something. By then I was already being helped by another employee. It's sadly not the first time shes this rude, she never wants to help me out because I ask for a boba drink every time. Bottom Line: Being curt and borderline rude is not a way to run a breakfast spot. Food is microwaved and passable. My family was in town for the races and we wanted to find a local spot to grab some breakfast to go. I headed down here armed with a Menu and a list of things to order. I stood at the counter and a lady walked up to me and asked what I would like. As I started to tell her, she just walked away from me. After another minute or so she asked me again if I wanted to order. So again I said yes so she pointed to all of the pictures on the wall (which are different from the Menu) and said "order" so as to not lose her attention again, I quickly ordered from the wall and also gave her the rest of my order which included bagels, none of which she wrote down and I had to repeat several times as she was running around doing other things instead of actually listening to me or, idunno, writing things down. As I stood there and waited I watched the microwave shuffle of "egg" cooked in tupperware as everything that is made in this place (other than bread products) is heated with microwaves. If that doesn't make you feel special, nothing will.... After the breakfast burritos, bagel sandwiches and bagels were all bagged up I paid with my card and she gave me the slip to sign, which I did without tip. When I handed her back the receipt she gave me a dirty look when she noticed that I hadn't tipped. ....First of all a tip is usually considered something you give when you get great service. I didnt hardly get service, let alone great service. I'm not just giving you free money, on top of the profit you've already made just for doing your job for something I could have easily done at home with my own microwave. Second of all, I can burn bacon at home just as good as you can. Lastly, when I noticed that the bagels I got to go had no creme cheese thrown in, I asked if I could get some. The lady said sure you can, for $3. $3 - for creme cheese? Really? Are there gold flakes in there? Are you just begging me to buy some at TJ's on my way back to the hotel or what? The only reason this place doesnt get one star is because the croissants were good and the burritos weren't bad - but honestly not that good. I will not be back. read more

Baby, I was rocking the bagels at home for quite sometime but kaplowie, out of the blue I was struck with the notion I could go out in the world and get me a bagel. Of course going out in the world round these parts mean crossing paths with the lowest form of life, the baby boomer. Even the simple act of getting a bagel to chow on means getting the stink eye from some trust fund trash. But the worst thing about this outing was the following: bagels are stale, overpriced, and poorly served. They charge you to toast the bagel which consists of tossing the thing in a toaster turned up so high the conveyor belt spits it right back out and into the crotch of the bagel schlepper. The bagel isn't even warm! And boy are they skimpy on the cream cheese. And my biggest complaint is they don't use a clean knife to cut the bagel. They wrap you stale bagel in paper and saw it in half with a large serial killer style blade and throw it in a bag. When you eat it you get bits of torn paper and whatever else is on the blade; onions, locks, hair - really a kick in the teeth! read more

I was thrilled to discover that they sell smoothies with boba! I was not thrilled, however, to discover that they kind of suck. The first time I tried one, it was great. That time, the smoothie took awhile to make because they were out of boba and had to make the pearls on the spot, but that made for fresh tapioca pearls that had great flavor and texture. The next two times I visited, the pearls were terrible. They were old and chalky. And one of those times they actually forgot to put the boba in first, so they put it in last! All these nasty old pearls were floating on top of my smoothie. Not cool. I bet a mango smoothie without the pearls would be pretty good though...their mango flavor is delicious. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place. Service is slow and in my experience, the bagels and beverages aren't worth it. read more

This place is a solid 2 stars with a side of Meh... I had the veggie combo on an everything bagel. First, I was surprised that a bagel place went to the effort of making such small bagels. Second, when you get the combo with the chips and drink, you are only allowed to pick certain chips (Sun Chips or Doritos). You cannot pick one of the Kettle chips. That is cheesey and never a good sign when a business is nickel and diming the customer. Third, when I had about a third of my lemonade left, I noticed all the grey flecks of an ash-like substance floating around my cup. What is that from? Never cleaning your drink taps? Who knows. Skip this place. I am sure there are better bagel places out there. read more

Good place for a wide variety of breakfast stuff. I came here 4 out of the 5 days in Monterey. The breakfast burritos were big and tasty, comes with a side of salsa, and served piping hot. You have to try this bagel shop. I used to eat here all the time as a kid and love the Kuperman's Delight on Super Seed bagel! No meat, but quite the delight nonetheless! This review is for the Boba only. I had the Thai Ice Tea Boba. The flavor of the drink itself was okay but the actual boba was horrible. The consistency was all wrong. It's supposed to be chewy and fresh. These tasted like they were old and just thrown into the drink. The boba kind of fell apart as soon as I began to chew. I've had A LOT of boba in my life and this was definitely sub-par. Perhaps there is not enough of a demand in Monterey to sustain a good boba business. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick and cheap breakfast, and we enjoyed it so much that we went again the next day! It is clean, has a diverse menu, inexpensive, conveniently located, and very friendly staff. Also, it has some of the best cream cheese I have ever had. Wish they were close to where we live!
