I got the blackberry cobbler ice cream and it was so delicious. They have a ton of different flavors of blue bunny ice cream as well as desserts. The outdoor area is so nice and it's a very family friendly location. They even have swinging chairs. The girl that helped us let us try as many flavors as we wanted and was really nice and great service. What really stood out to me were the multiple discount options. There was lots to choose from & yes i had a hard time choosing. What's on your flavor bucket list? I love the Barn Yard feel and the backyard was the perfect spot to chill. I stopped in here for an afternoon treat with a friend while visiting the Virginia Beach area for the long holiday weekend. The ice cream is Blue Bell brand and it was good fine. The service was good too, it is a family owned business and the woman was very kind in sharing the story behind her adult son being responsible for some of the baked goods that were on hand. They had giant chocolate chip cookies with health bar in the display case that looked amazing, however after spending $5.50 on a cookie we were disappointed. After stopping by The Barn Ice Cream over the weekend, I couldn't resist coming back again while I was out and about yesterday evening. Last time, I only purchased the carrot cake, so this visit I decided to try the ice cream flight. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and even though it was about 8:30 pm (they close at 9pm), I didn't feel rushed at all. After looking over the flavors, I chose Butter Crunch, Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies 'n Cream, Vanilla Bean, Mocha Almond Fudge, Oatmeal Cream Pie, Cookie 2 Step, and Salted Caramel Brownie. You also get to pick three toppings so I went with brownies, Oreos, and Heath bits. By the time I finished choosing, a few more people were already in line grabbing dessert before closing, which shows that this place is clearly very popular! Every flavor was absolutely delicious; super creamy and full of chunks, swirls and sweet pieces. They also offer 6 mini scoop flights as well, if you prefer a smaller option. On top of the great ice cream, the store itself has a warm, welcoming feel with a fun, family atmosphere. The girls working there are always super pleasant. The flight is about $12 and includes 12 mini scoops, which is such a fun way to sample a bunch of flavors! If you love ice cream like I do, the flight is definitely worth trying!!! read more

We stopped by this new ice cream place we've been wanting to try. It's a cute little barn house that's country chic. There's several places to sit in the front, back, or inside with the ac. They even sell firewood. We were greeted by the 2 young ladies who work there when we walked in. They sell ice cream, cakes, brownies, funnel cake, churros, and etc. The prices are reasonable and it's clean inside. I got butter crunch ice cream and what was called Oreo cake, but it turned out to be some sort of cheesecake. When I tasted it, it was a weird taste. So I told the young lady and she was nice about exchanging it. It was a softer texture than a cheesecake would be. Idk. So I got the Oreo dream brownie which was better. The butter crunch ice cream was creamy and actually really good. I enjoyed it. This is a cute place to bring the family. I think I'd return. Check them out!! read more

They also had some desserts like brownies, cookies, cakes, and pies. I don't believe those are made in-house, and while they looked good, the prices felt a bit high for me--just being honest. I stuck with the ice cream, which was definitely the right call. The staff was very sweet and welcoming. The girls working there greeted me and my friends right away and let us sample a few flavors before we made our choices. You can tell they care about creating a good experience. Outside, they've got a super charming seating area--Adirondack chairs, little tables, and even outdoor games to keep you entertained while you enjoy your treats. We live in Hampton but were in Va Beach for an appointment yesterday. While we had to wait, we decided to find some ice cream. We found The Barn and I just want to say how wonderful it was. We met one of the owners and she was very welcoming. Staff was attentive and ready to help as soon as we walked in. Tons of flavors and you couldn't beat the prices. The small shop feel was inviting.
