I was in a bad mood the night we visited, but this place really cheered me up over the course of dinner. Our server Amanda and all the wait staff were very friendly and the food is good bar food. The view is spectacular being right on the beach. I had a Mai Tai that was tasty and a good price. The smoked fish dip makes a great starter, and the tri-color chips are so fresh. It was chilly and they offered blankets and have two fire pits. This place is a really nice local joint. Go there! read more

Absolutely the worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. Heard the beach bucket finally re-opened after being closed because of the hurricanes, so decided to check it out. I arrive at the Ocean East property which the restaurant is a part of and am rudely told by a security guy on a golf cart that you can't park in the parking lot you have to find public parking. I am bit surprised but was told the restaurant and hotel are separate businesses. So I park at Andy Romano beachfront park and walk over to the beach bucket where its quite packed. The inside is a fairly small space with a bar where there were people packed pretty tightly and a few tables and there are outside tables overlooking the ocean. The view is certainly the main reason to come here. It was very hot outside so I opted to sit inside although no one acknowledged me so I had to flag down a server and ask where I could sit. I was sat at a small table and ordered a breakfast sandwich which came with home fries. I decided to wash my hands so I ask where the bathroom is and its of course in the hotel. So I go back in the hallway back through to where the front desk is and outside where the bathroom is. Upon walking back in the same security guy is there and points and tells me I need to go that way to the restaurant. I say yes I know and continue walking. At this point the guy says well I saw you on video and you were in our elevators and walking upstairs. I am stunned as I never stepped on an elevator and I really don't like being falsely accused of things I haven't done. I tell him I haven't done any such thing and I would like him to show me the video. He gets extremely angry and starts yelling at me that I need to leave the premises. This escalates pretty quickly into a shouting match with him getting within inches of my face and screaming at me that I need to leave immediately and that he is going to call the police to remove me from the property. I tell him to go ahead and call the police, I haven't done anything wrong. I walk away and go back to the beach bucket to my table. I'm pretty shaken from this whole event and I request to speak to the manager. The server seems unsurprised as she said they've continually had problems with the hotel and security harassing their guests. The manager comes over, hes a black fellow (didnt catch his name) but proceeds to tell me how he is the manager of the beach bucket but not the hotel and he has no authority over anyone in the hotel or their actions. He said if theres a problem with the food or service that he could help me. In addition, he starts talking down to me like I'm an idiot about how anyone can call the police, the police work for all tax payers and anyone is free to call them if they wish. He said go ahead and let them call the police, you are here at the restaurant and not doing anything wrong. I realize I'm not doing anything wrong, the problem is the manager clearly doesn't care about the business if that is how he reacts to a customer being treated this way. I tell him I'll never come back, which you probably don't care as long as the restaurant is busy but thats not the way to handle things. If I'm a manager of a business and a customer of mine is harassed and screamed at I will be sure to address it with the other company. I'm not going to tell them this has nothing to do with me. To the owners credit he did talk to me and tell me what happened wasn't acceptable and he took my contact information. I am posting this 24 hours later and I haven't heard back from him. Regarding the food it was OK. Probably a little overpriced for what it was but I'm sure their expenses are high given the location. The breakfast sandwich was good but the home fries were just precooked / frozen. As I said earlier the main draw is the beautiful oceanfront view but the experience was definitely ruined for me. The employees seem to know that it is an ongoing issue and I just can't believe they have allowed this to continue for so long. This should have been addressed long ago. I can't imagine running a business and allowing this type of harassment to continue. A regular at a nearby table told me this has been going on for years. Well this was a 1st and last time for me. I'll go back to Peach Valley where I know I won't be threatened just for being a customer. read more

Actually it was pretty nice place to go for breakfast. Right on the beach and they have a nice deck to sit and enjoy the sun sand and sea. Service was a bit slow but this the beach on a Sunday morning. A little island time. They also make a great bloody Mary. Always a good start for a Sunday breakfast. Look for it. From the inside you'd think it was a local dive but once outside it opens to a huge tiered patio overlooking the ocean. The peel n East shrimp were excellent. Fish dip, tacos, and drinks were amazing. Don't leave without getting a "voodoo punch" bucket drink. read more

The manager really seemed to put in the effort and attention to meeting customers needs. They had no outdoor seating during our visit due to the rain and the inside seating was extremely limited. Great location, great food, drinks are ehhh. I ordered the strawberry special and sent that back and exchanged for a pina coloda, that one was even worse. It was watery and wasn't even slushy like a frozen blended drink should be. Only positive of the $8 drink is that you get to keep the plastic souvenir cup to remind you of the awesome drink you just had I will say though that the food is delicious (calamari was ehhh) but mahi was delicious both breaded or blackened! I really hate writing reviews like this. Especially given covid etc and everyone is really struggling. We arrived to the building at 11:30 in hopes of getting breakfast. Couldn't find parking. Got kicked out of the hotel parking even though there were hundreds of spots available. We finally found parking on the right side of the building. We entered the restaurant and ordered drinks. We were then told breakfast was unavailable. Since we really wanted the Benedict, we left $20 and left to go to another restaurant. We were then chased outside by the waitress who demanded we pay for the coffee. I explained I left an incredibly large tip for 2 coffees. This was completely embarrassing to be chased out of a restaurant and accused of not paying. Disgusting behavior that made me feel like a criminal. We called to make sure that no one swiped the money and the waitress confirmed she "found it". All in all will never go back- terrible experience from start to finish. read more

With the short walk from our condo and the promising views, this was a no brainer for an easy dinner on our first night in town. The corn fritters were amazing and the cheese sticks slightly better than your average. The burgers were good and the view outstanding. If your expecting much more than a casual beach bar, you will be disappointed. While some were dressed up others were still in their swim suit. The service was lacking but other servers seemed to be on top of things so maybe that was just our bad luck. read more

The location is great! Got to watch the surfers due to high waves from Hurricane Larry. Service was excellent too. Our waitress was Ocean. Yes, that was her name. Man can you say whole in the wall? I mean that as a compliment. The place has a big bar. You can sit out back and see the water. The shrimp basket was very good. The food is great, the drinks are great, the service is awful! We came here earlier in the week and had a fair experience. We decided to give them another chance. I wish we hadn't. There were several tables needing to be cleaned and we were told to sit anywhere so we sat at one of the dirty tables on the patio. We waited 8 minutes while several servers just walked by us. Finally someone came and cleaned off the table. Then we waited about 10 minutes before our server ever came. When Lisa came she never gave us menus but took our drink orders. A few minutes later we got our drinks and she asked if we were ready to order. We let her know we never got menus. After getting the menus we didn't her again for about 15 minutes. I visited The Beach Bucket twice so far, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The location has a chill vibe. It can get quite busy which can contribute to longer waiting/staff responsiveness. The view this little place has to offer is awesome. You feel the nice breeze off of the ocean and can hear the waves crashing against the sand. To add to this zen relaxation, their bloody Mary's are delicious, garnished with pickles and olives and the rim coated with a delicious concoction of spices. Their sausage gravy with biscuits was pretty tasty and their fresh fruit actually tasted FRESH and not rotten or withered! Parking can get confusing since it is behind the hotel besides that everything was great. Food and drinks are decent prices for the location. View of the beach is amazing. Service was great. Due to covid 19 they do not seat anyone indoor (either way passing through the inside it did not look like they had a lot of tables/space if anyone was able to get seated inside). Everyone has to sit outside on the uncovered beach patio deck. Advantage: view for sure. Fresh air. Disadvantage: Rain. Make sure you check the weather before going. read more

At first it was sort of hard to find this restaurant because it was sort of hidden behind a hotel I believe but we were able to figure it out. The restaurant was packed during brunch time and they seat first come first serve. The drinks at the bar was inexpensive and tasted great.
