The restaurant has the homey comfort food vibe of a classic greek diner or family restaurant, but the decor is country chic, and warm, and the food is upscale. The seated 7 of us for dinner quickly on the Friday night after Thanksgiving, and the food came out quickly as well. Since the place is undeniably Greek, I saw the Lamb Shank over Risotto on the specials, and had to try. It was delicious! The lamb was tender, juicy and falling apart (a poke of the fork to make it fall off the bone). It was full of full-bodied warm flavor, which complemented the risotto perfectly, and just the right proportions to stir it up and enjoy all of it in every bite. Stellar! Came in around 11:30 for breakfast and just beat the lunch rush- wow this place gets busy! I had the trifecta which was challah French toast, 2 eggs and bacon. Regular coffee was just ok. This restaurant is an absolute GEM! We went there for Easter brunch and the food from its eclectic menu was out of this world. The four of us started out sharing an "appetizer" of one of their amazing cinnamon rolls. Although breakfast begins here at 8:00 AM, these scrumptious beauties are not available until 9:30. (So time it accordingly.) We had some specials for that brunch that included lemon ricotta flapjacks, a German apple pancake and huevos rancheros. All of the food was amazing, as was the service. Also, for you serious coffee drinkers, their house java was as good as any in the best New York diners. It's not close for us (almost an hour drive), but we will definitely be back! read more

This is my favorite Restaurant off Exit 3 on #684 when I volunteer at the Northwind Kennels to socialize dogs! I sit in my favorite booth and start with a cappuccino to relax from walking dogs, Then I either order one of the best burgers with bacon, cheese and avocado and you can either have fries or a small greek salad, Also sweet potato fries for a little extra, Whatever you order off their extensive menu it is good, fresh and plentiful and always served with a smile! The place is handsome and the food is generally good, but the little things kill the experience here. As you walk in you see a delicious looking cinnamon bun. You order it, and it comes to your table piping hot. When you bite it is rubbery and steamy- they microwaved it. Seriously. You order pancakes and they come out hot and looking great. The butter you add is low quality, the maple syrup is not authentic, and the jam is lousy in small packages. Your coffee compares unfavorably to the cup you buy at the bus station. You can't even get fresh cream- it's something non-dairy. So, you skip it. I don't want to be mean- this is a family run place and there are many things to like about it, which is why it is busy every weekend. We are visiting from Nashville and Beehive came highly recommended. We showed up about 3 minutes after they closed but one of the staff members saw us walking away and came out to see if they could help. They let us in to pick out a dessert to go. My fiancé is a dessert connoisseur and he said the German Chocolate Cake was by far the best cake he's ever tasted. It was so good we went back the next night and got 3 more desserts. It looks nice, and is super busy. Went last Sunday, and the wait was 30 minutes. I might go back to try the food on a Saturday.

Something has changed at Beehive. What used to be a welcoming and polite staff has turned into a rude and unaccommodating experience. We came at noon and was told 40-50 minute wait, and when we went to the bar, the manager told me I couldn't sit there because there were people waiting. Bull Crap. Came here once before for lunch. Today decided to revisit for breakfast. Love the drive up. The morning air out here is fresh and the sunlit restaurant feels cheery and bright. We ordered the Belgian waffle with berries, Challah French toast with ham and eggs, Banana Macadamia Nut pancakes, and Corned Beef Hash with eggs. The challah French Toast was deliciously eggy and nicely caramelized, perfect with maple syrup. The corned beef hash and eggs were also pretty tasty. Pancakes were delightfully fluffy, the macadamias adding a nice crunch. Usually I eat light for breakfast. Eh.. Not the best. Iets start with the menu.. Its HUGE. Kind of a Greek American theme. The first quam was the bread and butter. I am glad it is complementary. The bread was fine, soft and flavorful but the butter was served ice cold and hard to spread. For entrees I went with the French onion soup and Greek chicken salad. Prices were average.. $7 for soup, 15 for large salad. The soup was boiling HOT like needs a year to cool down, obviously had been heavily microwaved. Not very fresh. The cheese in the soup was rock hard and greasy likely from the microwave. Not the best. The salad was very average. I didn't finish it. Large dry chunks of chicken, not a very flavorful dressing and kind of blan. It was not very good. Service and ambiance and presentation was nice, not a bad place just below average food in my opinion. I'll give it 3 stars but its more deserving of 2 for the food. read more

This is an upscaled diner with great selection of food and prices will not break your pocket. Located on the old route 22 right outside of downtown Armonk. Plenty of free parking out front with a handicap ramp lead to the front door. It can be a bit noisy due to the open area sitting but that made it more local dining feeling. The food and services were good with very friendly helpful staff. Our delicious dinner were exactly as ordered. read more

Bad service. I've been to this place a few times, the food is okay to good, but the service has always left something to be desired. Today I went solo for dinner, the restaurants was maybe 10% occupied, definitely not busy. While I sat patiently waiting for service three other tables were seated in my area over the course of 10 minutes and during this time I received no attention from the wait staff regarding my ordering (including no asking what I would like to drink). Over the course of the next five minutes all three other tables seated after me had the attention of the wait staff. So I had enough, I got up to exit and informed the hostess that I had waited more than 15 minutes without service and she said nothing, no apology, she just kind of shrugged and went about her business. Now I eat out nearly every single night, and the number of times I've walked out of a restaurant because of poor service is maybe once or twice over the past five years, so you know, this one is pretty much bottom of the barrel. Ordered take-out in mid-October. Food as usual was excellent. I had mussels Fra diavolo. The portion was plentiful, with the perfect amount of sauce and spice. super disappointed dinner. sat outside in what felt like a storage porch. in the corner, you'll find an old mop, a car battery and assorted household and garbage like items. the waitstaff is short...so dont expect to get your water glass filled (ever). the bartender is so nice, but not competent. if you aren't ordering something from their wine list you will have a weak, cheap, poorly made drink. The service in this restaurant is horrendous. I received the incorrect order FOUR time before the correct plate was brought out. The waitress kept saying " oh I thought you said...." and then scurrying off and coming back with the wrong item again and again. The ONLY comment that was made to even resemble trying to accommodate me was " do you want me to make this dish to go?" Because the four people I was dining with finished their meals. They didn't comp the bill, they didn't apologize, they didn't even seem concerned or attempt to expedite the multiple incorrect orders. Will NEVER go back to this restaurant- you can have the best food in the world ( which they do NOT) and bad service will ruins your experience.
