Very impressive! I just arrived in town and stopped by this restaurant for breakfast this morning with my father and was not disappointed. We both got omelettes and they were tasty. The atmosphere is cute and they have plenty of outdoor seating. The staff honored social distancing well and was super friendly. Only advice would be to check the hours before you come visit. They appear to only do breakfast/brunch on weekends and have limited covid hours. read more

We decided to have a valentine dinner out at the Beehive after receiving an email from the restaurant that very afternoon. It stated their special Valentine menu for the evening as well as offering the regular menu. We've been here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We started with drinks, i had the house red blend and my husband ordered a beer. We both ordered entrees from the regular menu which come with soup or salad. I ordered their Asian Salmon and my husband ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. My husband started with a soup (Shrimp Bisque) and I had the Greek salad. Both were delicious. The two entrees were also delicious and the portions are quite generous. The restaurant is very charming and they served dinner on white tablecloths. Not sure if it was for the holiday or it's the typical occurrence, but it was a nice touch. We were served at a nice pace , not rushed and not too slow, perfect. Nice and quiet area. Restaurant itself isn't anything to marvel at but a friendly staff. Started with the mimosa and poinsettia which were actually really good. They're not cheap in the champagne at all here which is nice, and it comes in a full size wine glass which is appreciated. Really big portions of food which were great. Eggs were a bit overcooked across the board on all the dishes but still, pretty darn good. The hashbrowns and bacon though, make the whole meal. Great place. Love the music in the background and the decor. It is one of the only places around that has a "breakfast place" type of feel. Vs. going to a diner for breakfast. The cinnamon roll was very good. The avocado toast was excellent. The slamon benny was very good. It wasn't the best I ever had but it was very very good. The sauce had a great taste and the eggs were done perfectly. The salmon was thinner and folding on the English muffin. I prefer a bigger, thicker piece of salmon vs. thinner slices. I was going for a job interview in Connecticut and located this spot on Yelp. It's nestled in what appeared to be a somewhat residential area of townhomes away from the main road. I was somewhat impressed with how cute and cozy the restaurant was on the inside. On the outside it offered a similar feel. The hostess seated us after she finished wiping down tables - after we stood for about 5 minutes. I've always thought customers took precedence to cleaning tables so that was different. The waitress who helped us was equally lackadaisical-for lack of a better word. She wasn't rude just nonchalant. On the Yelp app, this place was not represented as gluten-free nor vegan so it was not necessarily a disappointment to view their menu which had no gluten-free or vegan options. I inquired through the waitress just to be certain. She advised the toast was gluten- friendly (meaning it's come in contact with gluten within their establishment). So I ordered the toast and a cup of coffee. The coffee was good but the toast was terrible. It tasted stale and a bit sour. The bill was pretty high for the few items ordered. All in all, between the food, prices and service, this restaurant is a 2 star establishment. I don't plan on being back in this area anytime soon but if I do, I won't be returning. read more

The service at this place sucks. Having dietary restrictions, I'm very clear and fair about what I can have. I ordered a a gluten free burger with no cheese. I received a normal burger and had to ask my server if this was gluten free and he said it wasn't. So he offered to remake it and ask if he could put the patty on a new bun and I said no, they served me the new burger with GF bread on the same plate! Come on guys, I can see part of the old bun on the plate. I was excited to try one of the "best brunch spots in Westchester" a couple days ago and for me the experience was underwhelming to say the least. It's unfortunate for me because I remember coming here years ago and having an absolute pleasant time. Unfortunately that was not the case this time around. The food was good but not quite what I remembered, and not nearly worth the praise they receive. Ultimately the kicker was the service, overall the staff was decent but our server was a complete ass. He was incredibly short with us and visibly annoyed when we had questions, which he did not answer clearly and left us even more confused. This place is completely overhyped, I would not recommend. Obviously I hope people have different experiences but for me, I can't see myself recommending anyone come here, nor will I come here myself. I was picking up someone at the Westchester airport and he was hungry, because airlines can't waste one penny of their multi billion dollar profits on anything more than water for a six hour flight, but I digress. So I looked up restaurants near the airport and happily this appeared. I had the breakfast tostada with the freshest eggs, cheese sour cream, salsa. It was just plain delicious. My friend had an omelette with hash browns that were not the usual diner greasy, everything was fresh and wonderful. Went for dinner last night with friends and ordered one of the specials "Chicken Dante", which is grilled chicken, fresh tomato and mozzarella. Received the entrée and it was full of parmesan cheese. The ingredient "parmesan cheese" as never listed. I am not one to send back an entrée back for a few reasons. One, I don't want to make the other people at the table feel uncomfortable as their food was already served. Two, if I did send it back then I would receive my food after everyone else was almost finished. Three, I have a fear of what happens in a kitchen when food is sent back. So I just pushed it aside and had it wrapped up. Had my husband try it when I got home as he knows I hate parmesan cheese. Even he said it was way to much parmesan cheese. I loved this place - it's a super cute and bright/open space, with outdoor seating if the weather is nice, and the food was so good and not too expensive. I got a barbacoa eggs Benedict (which was a special I think) and the cinnamon roll, which was SO GOOD. The service was good and the food came out super fast, even though the place was pretty crowded. The cakes at the front of the restaurant looked amazing as well, and I was going to get one to take home, but I was so full by the time I left that I couldn't. Meh.... I've experienced better. I was there tonight. Server was nice. Didn't understand my drink order-- it was slightly complicated--I didn't say anything when it was wrong. Asked server about the difference between the Greek Salad and the Souvlaki Salad-- referring to the nice salads I had seen on the way in. I got the Greek Salad with blackened shrimp and it was a let down. I had wanted the Souvlaki Salad, but the waiter had convinced me that it was the Greek Salad I had seen. The layout of the restaurant is weird. Is it a diner or is it a nice restaurant? The tables are too close together and long--rectangular instead of square in shape. My 4 year old noted how loud it was in there. The chairs weren't so comfortable for a kid either. We had very close neighbors on each side of us, with one of them cursing a lot telling his story. It was a confusing experience, between the ambiance and the vibe of the restaurant/diner. The food was okay. I thought we were going to a nicer diner, with booths and comfy seats, space and a little bit more selection as well as a staff that was a little bit more connected to my questions and desires. Again, nice enough guy, just didn't feel like he cared to really tell me which salad was better or to take my drink order correctly and when we left, it was like we were never there. All salads are amazing- I tend to get the salmon salad or chicken schnitzel salad. I love the penne vodka I get it with grilled chicken in it. The sweet potato fries are great. Portions are huge! I'm not much of a Breakfast or Brunch person but I must say that if you want a nice casual place for Brunch, this is a Home Run. I kid you not, the place is a buzz of activity and reservation are a must for Sunday. A very eclectic menu including vegetarian and lucky for me they serve a mighty fine Huevos Rancheros. If I didn't have to drive across the TZ Bridge (yup,it will never be the Marion Cuomo Bridge in my book) I would no doubt try it for lunch or dinner though considering how close it is to Westchester County Airport, that may happen in the future. As a side note, my Grandparents, Parents and I ate in the original location in Mount Vernon. Family members of the Beehive in Armonk are related to the family who ran it in Mount Vernon. Beehive has a huge menu that suits a variety of tastes. I've never seen such an extensive menu with such diversity. I've only been for lunch, but I would definitely be down for dinner. Best part - Beehive serves breakfast until 2 p.m. everyday, so the selection is HUGE every single day. The first time I went to Beehive I ordered the filet mignon quesadillas, which totally knocked my socks off. It was a special so its not a regular on the menu, but if it happens to be on the menu do yourself a favor and order them. I would also suggest you try one of the appetizers or small plates - my fave is the homemade chips with blue cheese fondu. It's creamy warm deliciousness. For my second trip to the Beehive I ordered breakfast. I went with the Eggs Benedict and I have to say it was probably some of the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Overall the menu features a "fine dining" twist on ordinary food, but its really not expensive (considering its located in the fine dining capitol of Westchester.) The ambience is pretty laid back and it's just a really great place to grab lunch or dinner with friends. One of my favorite places to dine in Armonk, maybe in all of Westchester. read more
