Really cool venue to see a concert. I would suggest wearing shoes you would be comfortable standing in for hours, as this venue is general admission. There is an upstairs balcony area, which does have a rail to lean on, as well as a rail in front of the stage to lean on as well. That being said, you'll have to get in early and/or buy a VIP package if you want to be closest at the front. I showed up about an hour before the doors opened, and I was still able to get close. My feet were killing me by the end, and makes me wish I had something more comfortable to stand on. The sound quality and acoustics are really good as well. I always bring ear plugs, and they were more than welcome here. This is a loud venue, which is typical of a club of course, but be sure to bring them. Aesthetically, this venue is perfect for independent and alternative music. I love the blue lighting fixtures in the lobby and blue neon signs on the walls. The neon sign outside of the building is nicely done as well. My only argument against five stars is when I bought my ticket, there were several high fees through Ticketmaster, and there is no other way to buy tickets online or in person. If I could buy them directly at the box office or directly though their website to circumnavigate nearly $15 in fees per ticket, I would have no problem giving The Bellwether five stars. Would definitely come here again in the future! read more

The staff here are AMAZING, every person I dealt with were so friendly and helpful. My son is in a wheelchair and they went beyond expectations to make sure he had a great concert experience and was safe. We had a blast and thanks to a wonderful staff member had a fantastic view, which isn't always the case for a wheelchair user. Sound quality was great. We will definitely return even though we are 4 hours away. read more

Felt I should point out that the general manager, Casey, responded to me when - in addition to my negative Yelp review - I sent out an angry email to the venue that same night (still raging after missing half of Phantogram's set due to the parking fiasco). Despite my very harsh words, including some bad language I regret using, Casey acknowledged the issues, took accountability, didn't make excuses, and most importantly told me exactly how they plan on addressing the problems. The response was unexpected and I have to say I was impressed...thought that was pretty damn cool & professional. Remains to be seen if there's real follow through on these corrections, but it's a good start. read more

Thus venue is not it. Pros: $5 parking lot (score!) shaded area outside so no need to wait in the sun, it's newer so it's nice, and there is a balcony if you like to watch shows from a different angle. cons: The concert was supposed to start at 8 with doors at 7. ON THE DAY OF, doors at 8 and show at 9. no biggie things change. to me that wasnt a big deal. BUT. they divide you into 2 lines, (1) if you are going to buy food or drinks before the concert, and (2) if you are not going to buy food or drinks before the concert. Everyone that bought drinks and food before the concert go to in one hour early. which is so unfair for the rest of us waiting inside. (tip, to go inside early, go in line to buy drinks and food and buy water). OTHER CON: SECURITY SUCKS! A girl behind me kept pushing me and my group hard to get to the front. we were there first and did not let her. we told her to stop and she continued. there could've been a fight, and it was really loud in there during the concert so I wrote on my phone "Help, the girl in the white keeps pushing us and hurting us" and I passed my phone to security WHO DID NOTHING. I've been to probably over 100 concerts by now in venues just like this and security IS ON IT. BUT HERE, THEY WERE NOT. For example, in the past security stood above us, same level as the stage but on the sides, with flashlights, and are aggressive and QUICKLY AND EFFECTIVELY kicked people out if they were drunk or pushing or causing trouble. SECURITY IS NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL HERE. I was letting security know to get the girl out or make her go in another area and they just looked at me and said there is nothing they can do. why not stand above so you can see what's going on? they were on the same level as us and could only see the people directly in front of them. why not have flashlights? and be aggressive? this is unacceptable. Do better. read more

What a great venue to see a show at. This used to be a club that belonged to Prince back in the 80s/early 90s. According to my husband, an LA born original Prince-guy and someone who got to go to the original club --called "Glam-Slam".....they did a great job in updating and it's set to become a great place for shows. The VIP section is nice!! There's an extra bar and bathrooms upstairs, worth spending extra if you want that/ need that. Great view of the performance wherever you are, but the VIP balcony is my fav...Good vibes. Can't wait to see more shows here! read more

Had an amazing time at the Bellwether but listen closely IF you are purchasing the looking glass lounge add on.... GO Early!! Pros: 1. Exclusive entrance, 2. Clean bathrooms with no wait time (unless you decide to go when concert ends), 3. Private bar with a large seating area. When you step outside of the bar to the "designated" looking glass lounge terrace section (I posted a pic of the map on this review), you find yourself immediately to the left side of the stage. It's definitely a great view IF you get there early. Cons: That section's rail packs quick so you'll find yourself standing behind people in that small section reserved for the looking glass folks wondering why you paid an extra $75 to stand behind someone on the 2nd floor!! You can leave the looking glass lounge to join the rest of the balcony crowd (you'll know you've left because there will be a division rope with an employee requesting to see your bracelet.) The bathrooms on the first level floor are pretty well kept and easy to get to. read more

When a concert is standing around, the show is only as good as the people you're standing next to or behind. Since this is a new venue and we weren't really sure what it would look like inside when we bought tickets for a show this august... we paid the extra 400 for the looking glass room which is also called the emerald room. The only reason it's worth it is because you have a bathroom on the second floor. you have access to a closed off bar. It does not have a view of the concert and it's very quiet in there. You would never know there's a concert happening which could be a good thing if that's what you need. We even had to ask and check we were in the right spot. we were not able to take advantage of our ticket upgrade. even though we got there early. If you don't have a spot right on the railing or front row, you're not gonna see the concert. The looking glass room or emerald room is a view behind and to the left of the stage. So you're looking behind the band on the side. They advertise it's on the side but that is wrong and an over sell. If you're going to see a concert here I just would get there extremely early. If you're not first you're not going to see anything there is a bench people stand on but again you're gonna want to get there early to stand on the bench. also I saw no seating either a view. Good luck!! These are things I wish I knew for a spending a lot of money. We did have a private entrance and exit which I hear was worth it. It can take a while to leave with general admission. read more

Had an absolute blast seeing Carly Rae Jepsen at this venue. We got there around 8:00 pm (doors opened at 7:00), and the two closest parking lots were already full, but there was still parking available at the Visconti. We ended up getting super lucky finding a street spot, but I definitely recommend getting there on the early side if you're driving! All the staff was really friendly and helpful and the flatbread my friend ordered from the restaurant upstairs was really good. Really easy to order food/drinks, there were no long lines at all, no line for the bathroom either. It does get REALLY hot in there. I had seen the reviews and made sure to dress cool, but would definitely have appreciated more AC. Overall though, super nice venue and good vibes! Would definitely return! read more

Recently went to see Haim here. Like others have stated, the sound is very clear here and they keep the place pretty tidy. Additionally, the drink prices are pretty reasonable when viewed with a LA concert venue lense ($20 for a double Moscow Mule). On the downside, the parking is atrocious. I parked at the apartment complex across the street for $12 which isn't too steep, but it took a hot minute to get out of the structure. Also, they seriously need to get a HVAC guy to fix their AC in there. I thought I was in Orlando with how muggy it got in there. read more

Went to see Haim last night and was really hoping to love this new venue. The venue was PACKED, like scary packed. If there was an emergency it would have been catastrophic. They really need to sell 300 - 400 less tickets. It was also insanely hot, we had to move out of the main area to go stand near air vent, which everyone else was doing. I didn't see half of the show because I was standing behind a pillar near an air vent. Everyone was sweating and complaining. I went upstairs to check out the upgrade area and that was also packed and doesn't seem worth it. For a venue like this, I would expect GA tickets to be $50/$60, not $90. I'll gladly pay $90 for less people and air conditioning. read more

We arrived an hour early to dine at their restaurant before the show. We had looked the menu up before we had left and it was a nice looking menu with many options. However when we arrived, they had to scan our tickets and weren't allowed to leave after that. So we go in, and sit down, no service to tables. You have to scan a QR code and order through your phone. It also doesn't take Apple Pay so be sure to bring your credit card. The problem was the menu, there were only 3 items to choose from, a slice or whole pizza, a grilled cheese sandwich with a burger patty, or salad. Worst tasting food I have ever had. If you only are offering 3 items at least have them taste good. Then add only 4 chairs on the main lower level for people to sit. Unless you pay for VIP which are quickly sold out. Very disappointing experience, we will not be back. (Band sounded great, the only decent part of the night) read more

We went to Princess show. We were a little nervous about parking and seating but even though we arrived at about 7:30 pm we got parking across the street ($15, cash only), were able to find bench seats up on the balcony and comfy seats out on the patio. Short lines for drinks and snacks. I wish they provided the sound of the show out on the patio. When Princess started we went downstairs and joined the crowd to dance! Plenty of space. Went to opening night with Phantogram and it was such a great experience... They've done a fantastic job with the space - the sound and light quality were exceptional, the restaurant and patio offer amazing views of the city and the food was great too. All in all an amazing venue and happy to see LA has another space for bands moving up from venues like the Teragram. Kudos to the owners and staff for pulling off a fabulous opening night... Came here to see Tycho with my family last Thursday and it was INCREDIBLE. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the sound was *perfect* from any position in the crowd/balcony. We also grabbed dinner from the upstairs cafe and the food was great by any measure, but especially for club food. I see other reviews noting the parking and A/C as issues. Maybe it was because the show wasn't completely sold out and super packed, but it was absolutely FREEZING in there (Mom was glad she brought her jacket inside). Felt great, especially once we started dancing around in the crowd. I talked to a staff member and they mentioned they were contracting with additional neighboring lots to expand their parking capacity, so hopefully that issue gets resolved as the venue grows into itself. Overall, an exceptional experience at a new venue, especially considering it had only been open for two days before we visited. read more
