Our waitress, hostess & the crew were all very friendly. I ordered the country Benedict and my husband had a combo breakfast. We shared a waffle. Yum! More food than we could possibly eat, but it was freshly prepared, flavorful, served hot & hit the spot! We also didn't wait long on our order. We were recently in Kansas City for a few days and we actually stopped here twice to eat. The restaurant was clean, and our servers at both visits were great! Both days we were seated right away. Food is absolutely delicious, and portions are large. I had breakfast the first time. Bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and pancakes. So good! A few days later I had lunch. I always like early morning doctor's appointments. I alwys go to the office fasting, even if no tests are scheduled. That way I have an excuse to eat breakfast at some place that's either new or old. Today I chose Big Biscuit at Liberty MO. I had their Ham & Eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked, not to wet and not to dry. The ham was nicely caramelized, super tender and had great flavor. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. To top it off I chose sourdough toast. The coffee was piping hot and not overly strong. All in all a great breakfast! Went into The Big Biscuit by chance on a trip with my wife to Liberty MO. Got here about 9:30 and there was a 20 minute wait, but was able to sit immediately at the counter. Counter service was Great--Frank did an awesome job helping answer questions. Sean, the manager, also stopped by and gave us a loaded sticky bun since it was our first time at the Big Biscuit. Food came out fast, was delicious and well worth the stop. Recommend completely. read more

I'm not a breakfast person but I'd eat here again. It was my first time eating here on Sunday. After hearing all the raves review from the hubby. We decide to stop in for a quick meal. I checked in via yelp and waited for 15 mins. The restaurant was packed. The food portion was big and hearty and decent price. I got the waffle combo and my husband got the cowboys. This place is packed on the weekends, but it's huge inside so the wait isn't too long. Great, home style breakfasts with the pancakes and biscuits (obviously) being great! We decided to come here for lunch and I was nervous the wait was going to be long since there were people standing outside but it didn't take too long at all (less than 10 mins). Once we ordered, the food came out quick too! My son had the kids chocolate chip pancakes and it was a huge plate - six giant silver dollar pancakes with a side of bacon. He was so excited because sometimes he's still hungry after eating a "normal sized" kids plate (he's almost 9), but that wasn't the case here! He loved it! I had the florentine eggs benedict and it was perfect! The country potatoes were crispy and delicious too, exactly how I like them. I couldn't come to big biscuit without trying a biscuit, so I had a quarter biscuit with gravy on the side. I couldn't taste much of the biscuit but the gravy was very good. First thing I looked at was the Corn-beef hash, but when they said that it came out of a can...I had to pass. I ended up with the Cowboy, and at least for my tastes, it was a mistake. The biscuit, gravy and eggs were decent, but the chicken fried steak was WAY over cooked, and the hash browns had zero seasoning. If you have a little bit of everything in 1 bite, the seasoning balances out and the tough steak can be hidden I do have to grant them that about half of the places I have tried CFS over the years have failed into the trap of cooking the breading and hoping that the steak is done at the same-time The service was pretty attentive, and I would give then another shot next time I was in town read more

This place is really well laid out for those of us who are being extra careful with COVID. Our kids hadn't been in a restaurant for most of the last year, but a snow day gave us an opportunity to venture back out while business was slow. First time trying this place, and it did not disappoint. Portions are astronomically large, including for the kids meals. I've been here twice. The food is generally good; standard American breakfast diner food. Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles, etc. My issue here is that as a smaller local chain, they could offer homemade specialities with some character and fresh local ingredients. As it stands now, it seems precisely like IHOP or Denny's with Corn syrup instead of maple, corned beef a la Hormel, and mediocre service with a side of disinterested manager and table staff. Had a marvelous breakfast at The Big Biscuit with my wife and son-in-law to be. He and I both had scrambles, while my wife had a more traditional meat and egg breakfast. Everything we ordered was tasty. More importantly, the eggs were cooked to order. Most importantly to me is the quality of the biscuits and gravy - and those are wonderful. The biscuits are truly big as well as being perfectly cooked. The gravy was the best sausage gravy I've ever eaten. When I fix gravy at home, I always start with a half pound of bacon. I know restaurants can't afford to do that, so they go the sausage route. Most taste rather bland and milky. Not this! It's well seasoned and actually tastes of sausage. So far, the best breakfast I've had anywhere in the Kansas City metro area. Since I'm in Kansas City off and on for at least three weeks each year, this place will get lots of my business. read more

Bring your appetite!! The cinnamon roll pancake will blow your mind! I've had the KC omelette and eggs and diced ham and barely finished either. Definitely delicious and I've always had polite, courteous and prompt service. Sometimes being seated is a little slow when they aren't busy. Seems they only man the greeter post on their busy times. This (Liberty location) is one of my favorite spots in the KC area. I eat there every time I'm in town. The food is always delicious. The place is always clean. The service is always outstanding. Our server today, Nick, was so pleasant and enjoyable. I can tell that he enjoys his job as he was smiling every time I saw him. He really got to know all of us at the table and was quick to serve our drinks and food. The manager, Ricky Webster, was also great to talk to. I saw him helping the servers when needed and kept the moral up in the entire restaurant. I will definitely go back every time I'm in Kansas City! All of the food is great, but I really enjoy the Mayberry which comes with a sausage and cheddar omelet, hash browns, and the signature biscuits and gravy. Delicious!! read more

The Liberty Big Biscuit is Excellent - over the last few years I have visited many times - the Service is ALWAYS Fast and Excellent - and the food is always great with ONE EXCEPTION!!! Don't order the Tenderloin UNLESS they have changed the Grease recently or it taste like Axx ! You always get your own Personal Pot of Coffee so you never have to wait for a refill - they always seem to have many managers as it is their training store so maybe that's why it's always great service read more

Went here on Saturday 19 June 2021. Had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. The kitchen got behind in orders and the computer systems went down. The hosting staff kept well informed on what was happening and soon everything was running smoothly. Food was outstanding and our service was beyond exceptional.
