My husband and I have been coming to the Bistro for many years .I have recommended my family and friends to the Bistro. After today's experience I will NOT be visiting the Bistro again. I checked in for a table and I was advised that it was a 15 minute wait ( no problem) however it was surprising , because I've been at the bistro previously when it has been a lot busier with a less wait time. After waiting 22 minutes my table was finally ready at 12:45 . My husband and I were seated, we perused the menu and was ready to order, however no server came to our table. We weren't greeted nor did anyone even bring water to the table ! We saw multiple servers walking around. We observed a table seated DIRECTLY next to us who came in 5 minutes AFTER we were seated and a server greeted the party and and placed there order. I looked at my watch at this point it was 1:00 pm. I immediately advised the hostess of the situation and he was nonchalant about it . He did say sorry he forgot to assign a server to my table . He was NOT really empathetic or apologetic. The total experience was absolutely horredndous . A server finally came to the table at 1:03 but we decided to leave. The Bistro did not show respect for our time nor did they create a welcoming atmosphere for us. read more

Went here for brunch on Sunday. I really like that they have a digital waitlist so we just browsed around while we waited for our table. We sat outside and I had the maple chicken and waffles , while my husband had a turkey sandwich on marble bread with cranberry sauce. His sandwich came with thin cut steak fries we both enjoyed. The chicken and waffles were as good as expected but I prefer this dish paired with a specialty butter and syrup. Who wants to eat a dry waffle? I honestly was tempted to give 1 star. I had high expectations for this place because of the reviews I had seen elsewhere. I ordered a blueberry hibiscus tea and it tasted old if that makes sense. It didn't taste fresh at all so I had a couple of sips then left the rest. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle tasted like a box mix, but not a good one. The chicken had no seasoning on it at all. It said it came with maple butter and warm bourbon infused maple syrup. There was no maple butter and it came with 2 small packages of Smucker's syrup on the wide. To charge that much and not even have homemade syrup was strange. I was very disappointed, barely ate half and ended up throwing the rest out. Truly the worst chicken and waffles I've ever had. The Bistro is a popular spot in a cute area in Haddonfield. I came here on a frigid Saturday and the place was packed. Although it was busy the wait was only 10 minutes. My sister and I were shopping around Collingswood and Haddonfield a few days after Christmas. Our plan was to get some lunch to-go, but when we noticed the setup at The Bistro, we amended our plans. They have a lovely outdoor seating situation with lots of heaters. Even though it was a pretty cold day, we felt completely comfortable eating outside. We lucked out with a table against the front window of the restaurant. The sun was shining right on us and there was a heater overhead. It was great! There were breakfast and lunch menus to choose from and we both went with lunch. We each ordered chicken wraps or sandwiches and added on the French onion soup to start. The soup was really great - tons of flavor and everything you'd want from a French onion soup. We both thought our sandwiches (the chicken caesar wrap for me, the chicken milano for little sis) were weighed down by the boursin cheese. I also thought the chicken was so-so. I'm incredibly picky about meats so I'd probably opt for something different next time. The chip fries served alongside the sandwiches were bomb! The all day breakfast menu. And the lunch þ dinner menu has so many great choices. I'm told the menu changes often but can't confirm this. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Wish I remeber the waitress name to give her a special shout out. She was new and very attentive. The menu has something for everyone of many eating habits. I can tell you the chicken salad sib is exceptionally good. No added salt needed. The cut fine cold slaw was very tasty. The homemade chips was perfect touch to this dish. But, people at next table saw something crawling (it happens) but since business was slow, they should have waited until we were finished before tearing the next booth apart and sweeping- made an icky situation even more obvious. The 'Bistro Madame' was amazing! I am definitely the girl who sees sunny side up eggs on a sandwich and always orders that item, and this combo didn't disappoint. It was super cheesy, perfect amount of salty from the prosciutto, chewy from the bread and delicious because of the over easy! Very happy with this place! Came here with my friend for lunch one afternoon. We didn't make a reservation but only ended up waiting about 15 minutes. It was the perfect amount of time to walk up and down and look at all of the shops near by! We were seated outside (it was a few months ago when it was warm). This was probably my least favorite thing. My seat was facing with the road to my back and it was super windy and not the best place to sit. Also felt like the tables were a bit close together! Anyways, food time. We ordered the truffle fries to start. These were AMAZING. Literally so good!! The truffle aioli sauce was amazing. For my dish, I ordered a panini. I won't lie, I forget which one, but it was so good! I actually ended up bringing the other half home. Came with a side of fries which were also good! My friend got the lobster ravioli. Always a great experience! Often have meetings here, and they are very accommodating. My favorite thing to get is the hot chocolate with whipped cream, basic, I know! I love it, though! lol One day, I'm going to order something different than the usual breakfast and dessert. Per my last meeting here, the lamb burger is superb and definitely worth trying! Actually, don't think I've ever heard a complaint about the food on any occasion when I take new people. It's a cute space, great service, and delicious food! Surprised to see a 3.5 rating! I stopped by the Bistro At Haddonfield for lunch with a few friends and we agreed that it was a 5 star experience all around. Let's start off with the menu - it's absolutely huge. Basically like a hybrid diner / cafe menu with a ton of salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soups and more. You can go classic with a burger or grilled cheese or kick things up a notch and try cheesy crab bread or loaded greek fries. It took us at least 20 minutes to figure out what we wanted - everything just sounded so delicious. I ordered an Italian panini which came stuffed with fresh mozz, proscuitto, tomato and basil. The sandwich was served on thick and crusty bread and came with two large halves plus a side of fries. For 9 dollars this is an enormous amount of food. Other orders at the table included a pork belly burger, falafel and a fig and prosciutto salad. All portions were large and beautifully presented. Most importantly, everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Even though this area of Haddonfield has lots of cute restaurants the Bistro will be hard to pass up during future visits! read more

When you've reached your fill of diners and chain breakfast restaurants, you start to look for something new. The Bistro fits that criteria perfectly. It's nothing special. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's like a nicer diner sans sassy waitresses, mediocre food and drunks at 2am. I live two towns over in what some may say is the unofficial restaurant hot spot in the area yet we are severely lacking when it comes to breakfast options unless you are willing to wait an hour at Sabrina's or want to go to the Pop Shop (although it's not a requirement to have kids when visiting, it might as well be). So I came here and I'm glad I did. The coffee and food is fresh, the menu is large with plenty of options and specials of the day and the prices are quite reasonable for what you get, which is a lot of food. I've also found the servers to be friendly and mostly attentive (my waitress kinda forgot about me on my first visit which got my eyes darting around the restaurant trying to see where she went and hoping to make eye contact). But will I be back? You betcha. read more

We threw my girlfriend a sprinkle here and everything was just wonderful. The owner, Anna, not only went the extra mile to ensure us a private area, let us bring our own dessert, but she hails straight from Greece, so the food much to my delight, was heavily Greek influenced and authentic. I very much enjoyed conversation with her regarding her tiny island she was surprised I knew! We started with a bunch of mezze for the table. This included the beet salad with fried figs, which were out of this world!!! We split the Mediterranean platter which came with perfectly grilled pita and creamy traditional hummus, roasted red pepper hummus and baba ganoush. I love that this also came with cucumber slices, kalamata olives and marinated red peppers also. The table ordered the calamari and fried goat cheese on a plate with a delicious eggplant salad! Everything was an absolute hit! The beet salad was definitely my favorite but the platter is an excellent starter to share, especially with a larger party. They're known for their lamb burgers, which some guest had and loved. House made crab cakes, lobster ravioli and salmon Santorini were also entree choice many enjoyed. Everyone raved about the food!! Service was a wonderful and we were easily able to split the bill many ways for those treating. The place is BYO, the food is excellent and the hospitality wonderful. It's located in adorable Haddonfield and was all around a lovely time. I would absolutely head here again! In fact, I plan on it with my family after I brought hubs back a piece of baklava (which they offer a la mode here-how different), and he said it rivals the ones we had in Greece. Had breakfast this am here with the family. First off, the hostess was amazing. I didn't get her name, but I wish everyone in hospitality had her personality. So friendly and accommodating. With that said, every thing about our stay was pretty good. Especially the food. I had the hogs haven breakfast special and yeah, so good. I also ordered the Thai calamari to try it out and that was also good. Even the kids food (pancakes and French toast) were better than expected. So, why the 4 stars? The service felt lack luster. I wish our hostess was also out server. A little personality and "thank you/ you're welcome" to a longgg way. Again, food was great.
