Me and my girlfriend just stepped out of her 2023 Mercedes SUV looking for some dinner. She found this place on a quick google search and we thought we should try it, I was wearing a Columbia fishing shirt with docker khaki shirt and reef flip flops. As we enter, the host was an older male with glasses that looks like he hasn't washed his work uniform in about two weeks. He looked at both of us up and down. The food is great! I came with a friend and we both commented on the freshness of the ingredients and the depth in flavor! A couple of things that drove off one star: first, my friend asked for lemon to accompany her water and the server said "we don't have lemons". Let me start by saying I always want to support small businesses. It's unfortunate that Bistro Grill will not be one of them. My friend and I arrived around 6:30pm. The gentleman who greeted us was snooty. He asked if we had a reservation (we did not). He immediately grimaced, then sighed, stating he would do his "best" to find us a table. Note: Only two tables were in use, the remainder vacant. No further diners arrived during our visit. There are only eight tables in this establishment, which appears to be a reconfigured fast food place located at the end of a strip mall behind a Starbucks. Zero atmosphere inside and out. Menu is extensive, offering a wide array of culinary choices, albeit no alcohol. Diners cannot order "tap water" only bottled or "filtered tap water", for which there is a $0.99/glass charge. OMG!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING??? I have eaten in some of the world's top Michelin starred restaurants; LeCinq, LeBernadin, Daniel, Everest, Guy Savoy, etc... NEVER EVER have I been charged for tap water! I ordered the Chops & Kebab meal at $39, which consisted of two small lamb chops, a lamb kebab, a chicken kebab and two sides (Greek potatoes & pita bread were selected). Portions are very large, and suitable for splitting. Culinary impressions: Food was mediocre at best. Chicken kebab was tasty having a pleasant balance of spice and seasonings. Lamb, both kebab and chops, were VERY over salted. Greek potatoes had a pleasant oregano and lemon flavor, but again WAY over salted. Some pieces cooked, some raw. Tomatoes, onion and green pepper were all delicious. Did not stay for dessert. Would I give this place a second chance? NO. Mainly because of the staff's "attitude" and changing for tap water. Absolutely outrageous! FYI - For this type of cuisine, I much prefer Yero Village in Roswell. Tons of choices, all delicious, nice bright atmosphere, most importantly no pretentious attitude, and NO CHARGE for tap water! read more

Let me start off by saying that I didn't end up eating here... now I'll explain the review: My wife and I had two hours to kill before our son's high school baseball game. We pulled up and before we entered the restaurant they had a sign showing they had a dress code. A dress code in a bistro at the end cap of a run down strip mall?!?!? Ok. I get their not wanting people coming in wearing pool attire (stated in their dress code) or tank tops (also stated on sign), BUT they also said, "no work clothing" and "we prefer you not wear shirts with any printing/graphics on it". Seriously?!?!? You are located behind a Waffle House and next door to Rio Tan and a Vape store. Your restaurant is in Dallas GA, not in the middle of Buckhead. Your clientele may be coming from work or have a logo on their shirt (like mine did). Your "fancy" resultant serves a gyro sandwich... how is my shirt with a logo on it, not welcome? You call your appetizers "teasers" but someone better not show up after work in work clothing. Don't worry though, I won't be slathering my pita bread through hummus at your bistro any time soon. We ran over to PC & Cell MD to get a cell phone fixed (as we have for years) and decided to check out The Bistro Grill. What a hidden gem. Food was amazing as was the service & ambiance. I laugh at the reviews I've seen about a dress code. By no means, do you need to wear a "suit and tie" but they at least ask you not to wear an outfit from the beach. My experience here was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in, but it was worth the gamble. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. I was the only one in the place, so I sat alone in the dining room. The menu has a good variety of options. I chose to get a chicken kabob along side the rosemary chicken platter. I wanted to sample a couple of things. They were both delightful. I'm not a humus person and that came with my rosemary chicken. To me the highlight was the rice. It was excellent. The chicken was moist and tender. Thumbs up! The restaurant was clean and modern. They played music. To me it was a little loud, but that's probably because I was there alone. I'd imagine with the tables full of people it would drown out the sound. One of my pet peeves is ordering food and then they give you a crappy knife that can't cut it. We had lunch at the Bistro Grill. Inside it is very dark. Navy blue and gray with no decor aside from the tables. Service was attentive and the server was helpful. We had the appetizer trio and falafel and friends to start. In the future, we would not get both. First, because there is a lot of overlap and secondly, because falafel and friends does not come with any pita bread, even though there are a lot of dipping sauces. We ordered additional pita bread to go with us, and for eight triangles of pita (approximately 1 piece of pita) it was five dollars. We did love the hummus and marinated feta. Both were delish! The tapenade was also very very tasty and the falafel were fantastic. We both got mixed gyros as our main. I asked for no onion, and mine came out with onion. I rarely send food back, but I decided to and they remade by sandwich very quickly. These were large and full to overflowing. Very tasty. We shared the Pistachio Almond Cake for dessert- it was quit My main complaint was being charged 99 cents for water x 2. Only one of us had water and it was not bottled water. Wow! What a wonderful surprise to find a restaurant of this caliber located in at the end of a strip center at Crossroads in Dallas. We went for Saturday Date-Night dinner w/ friends. Just excellent. The food and drinks are carefully created by the owner to be unique and exciting, and you can taste the passion in each bite. I had the ribeye, the potatoes, and a crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. The family was well pleased, especially our 12 year old who had the falafel and decided that the hummus was the best he'd ever had. We have eaten here in the past and did enjoy the food. We went today and we were greeted with, "Is your order to go?" I replied, "No, we would like to be seated." When you first walk in- I'll be honest- it just looks weird. The ambiance is very dark and there is a brightly lit TV screen displaying photos of their menu items- awkward. I got a Greek salad and my boyfriend got the veggie lasagne and some hummus. They brought it both together, which was also a bit odd. Several friends and I decided to dine here after a long day of travel and work because we were looking for tasty Greek food. Because this place is in a STRIP MALL and located directly behind a Wendy's, we wore casual attire. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess who let us know first thing that they had a business casual dress code, but she would still seat us. It wasn't delivered in a tone that incited excitement for our dining experience. We also noticed that all other diners were in casual attire. Probably because this place is located in a STRIP MALL BEHIND A WENDY'S. Aside from that, two out of four of us enjoyed our food.
