Food was very good and came out fast. Service was friendly and attentive. The 99 cent charge per glass of filtered water (no tab water available) did surprise me and is unusual for this area. I would have at least expected free refills, after all, it's just filtered tab water. It would be nice if this location also offered alcoholic beverages. read more

Several friends and I decided to dine here after a long day of travel and work because we were looking for tasty Greek food. Because this place is in a STRIP MALL and located directly behind a Wendy's, we wore casual attire. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess who let us know first thing that they had a business casual dress code, but she would still seat us. It wasn't delivered in a tone that incited excitement for our dining experience. We also noticed that all other diners were in casual attire. Probably because this place is located in a STRIP MALL BEHIND A WENDY'S. Aside from that, two out of four of us enjoyed our food. Who I am assuming was the chef stopped by the table and our friend politely advised that he did not like the dish and gave some feedback, he became very agitated. We will not be returning. read more

This intimate and welcoming location delivers delicious quality food where every item from the warmed pita bread to the juicy meats and plentiful salads are mouthwatering. The creative menu features many choices that should meet the needs for most customers. The dessert choices are remarkable and truly delicious. The owner and staff go out of their way to make certain their customers are happy. The prices are fair for the quality delivered. The food was really good here. There are a lot of options and everything seems to be made with quality ingredients and/or home made. My wife and I both got gyros with different kinds of meat and I got a Greek salad and she got Greek potatoes. They were considered sides but definitely healthy portions. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired, but it was quiet and relaxing. Our server was very nice and the food came out very fast. We got desserts to go and they were both great as well. Yes, the food was nice mediterranean. We were asked if we wanted filtered water or bottled water, not really knowing what that meant exactly. We were surprised when we were charged a dollar each time we asked for more water. Also, there was a note on the bottom of the receipt, saying that it will be $2.67 if you use a credit card. And finally if you carry any food home with you, adding a sauce cost another dollar. None of these up charges are noted on the menu in person or online. Disappointing. read more

Went here when they first opened and the food, customer service was great! The only complaint I have is the restaurant was way too dark to see the menu I had to turn the flashlight on my phone. I ate there tonight. I got an appetizer that was tzatikii with tomatoes, olives and pita. I ate gyro meat with Greek potatoes and Greek salad. Everything was fantastic. It's obvious that the food is fresh and made by hand. I confirmed that was the case with the.owner because the quality and taste was so much higher than normal. I love the Jerusalem Bakery in Marietta and this was as good and possibly better. I definitely think the quality is a little higher. The server was friendly and attentive. The place is dark and low lit. That's not my favorite but it's not that big of a deal. It would be good for nice niche with my wife. I happened to be by myself tonight. If you like Mediterranean food you will not be disappointed. The quality and taste is as good as I have had anywhere. You pay a little more for that but it's worth it. Anyone who doesn't like it must not like Mediterranean food or they don't care about quality so they get hung up the slightly higher price. I highly recommend you give this place a try and I will definitely go back to try other dishes. read more

Food: Let's start with the best part and why you come here; the food. We got the hummus and fried cauliflower as appetizers. I ordered the rosemary chicken with a Greek salad and hummus and rice. We also got chicken kabobs with Greek potatoes and house salad. For dessert we got chocolate mousse cake. The hummus was good if not a little thin for my taste. I would have liked thicker hummus with a little more flavor and should be served with more pita. There is no way there is enough pita even if you drown every piece with hummus. This is likely a way to buckle and dime you into ordering a side of pita bread). They also charge for water...because it's filtered and not tap water...and per my receipt...every refill you get. I was not pleased by that so if you come here...bring your own bottle. The cauliflower was just not our cup of tea. One of us thought it was spicy and the other felt it was too greasy (it's not really fried...broiled would be a better description which is a good thing but I just think they over-oiled it). Both chick plates were amazing. They both had great flavor and, while cut strangely, I felt it allowed for it to be cooked very evenly. I'm not an onion person so I'll say they over onion everything. It's ok and I was able to ask for no onions but be aware of what comes on the plate so you don't regret it when it comes to the table. The rice has lentils in it which was a bit different but not at all in a bad way. It's a different texture but was a great taste and I really enjoyed the salad as well. All of the sauces and dressing were quite good and I do believe them when they say everything g is cooked fresh and not dumped from a can for sure. It was very fresh and tasty and this is the reason to come here. While the desserts are ordered from local retailers and admittedly ours was very good. I'm not sure how they can have such a large dessert menu with such limited clientele, at this point. However, I think if you were just looking for a place to come for dessert after a different restaurant, this is it. I don't believe you'll be disappointed. However, I think we will be ordering takeout if we come again because of all the nickel and diming they do here. First, they charge for water and it seems every refill thereafter. Second, the charge you 3% more if you choose to use a credit card. It doesn't seem as though they have a liquor license (we aren't drinkers so it doesn't bother us) but if you like beer or wine with dinner...take it home. Plus leftovers were still making if not more so the next day! We walked out of the place with 2 people...no alcohol...almost $100. Service and ambiance- well it wasn't ball...it's just strange. You walk in to the ABSURB signage which is also on their website that this restaurant is not recommended for anyone under 16. To further insult the customer that brings their child or infant they must stay in their seat, we have no children's menu and we don't have high chairs. Upon walking in there is a waste of space high counter where the server/hostess is located. She welcomes you kindly and seats you. The first thing I noticed it's that you can get lost easily in a small space because the blinds are closed, all of the space is dark grey on dart grey flood, on dark with dark tables and dark chairs with limited lighting but for a tv that shows random pictures of the food they have on the menu over and over and over while you eat. I couldn't find the bathroom because it was so dark and then the bathroom light is hard to find and you just feel like you're in a cave. I thought the restaurant was much larger than it is but finally realized it's only about 8 tables and a small area with bar stools to eat at. Our server was nice but very robotic. It was almost like she was delivering ab over practiced speech at the table. Awkward but still she was kind and responsive. She would just walk around in circle sort of stalking us the entire time which again...felt strange but the set up of the restaurant doesn't allow her to see tables without doing exactly that...stalking. Towards the end of dinner a tall man, presumably the owner, came out to greet us and make sure everything was satisfying. It was when the check came that I was a bit surprised. They charged for every water refill (we only got one thankfully) and then used a credit card so they added a 3% service fee on the bill. I couldn't complain but I didn't see it mentioned on the menu. I could have also missed it as I don't look for that sort of thing because it doesn't happen often. It was a "cheap shot" in a world that really only uses credit cards. To sum up - great food and definitely worth going for that. And definitely worth going for an after dinner dessert date. I would just prefer to order take out in the future because it was way too dark and they nickel and dimed everything you got. read more

They thaw food from frozen. In my case, the fondant was not even thawn it was sold to me frozen in pick up order. The lamb kebab was also half warmed up from frozen most likely in a microwave. Really nasty old frozen and thown food sold for $30 which belongs to a dumpster. Bad customer service! Was over charged for an item and when I asked to speak to the manager he continued to text me over and over after I hung up on him because he was overly defensive and not helpful about the manner. I had to tell him to stop texting me as he was continuing to defend his employee who didn't know anything about the menu by not being able to answer questions. I was basically told they are too busy and couldn't assist. Strangely my family and I also got sick from the food. I had falafel from the appetizer menu and for my main meal I had the lamb kebobs with a Greek salad, rice with lentils, and Tuscan beans. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. They also have an extensive dessert and non-alcoholic drink menu. The Bistro Grill is a nice non-chain addition to the Crossroads/Cedarcrest area and would be worth the drive if you live in Paulding, Bartow, Cherokee, or Cobb county. read more
