I have been a Blind Onion fan since at least 1996. (Yeah, I am the crazy one who actually scheduled my classes at Clark so that I would get a break right at the time the location on Grand was opening for the day with fresh and hot slices, lol). This location was just as great as the others... my daughter and I had been volunteering at her soccer club and had an hour between that and actually having practice, and this is where she chose to eat. Pizza was just as good as it always has been at every location, the beer was cold and a good selection, the tables were cleared and cleaned promptly and the standard board games were ready to play while we waited. I did not totally get a great customer service vibe from the employees here, though. Not bad... just not excellent. Everyone has an off night now and then, though, so I will certainly be back for my favorite pizza! read more

I wrote a review quite a while back about a bad experience we had at another Blind Onion but after someone in my family told me about this newer location we decided to give them a try. This experience was completely different; The pizza was cooked nicely (the other location had given us a half raw doughy mess and then tried to argue with us about it), the toppings were of good quality and the service was about as friendly and helpful as it gets. I have no doubt that we will be returning to this location again! read more

We are usually a big fan of Blind Onion but tonight when we called to order, someone answered the phone and curtly told me they were closed. Their website, Yelp nor Google showed they were closed - no reason to be rude to a customer who craved your great pizza on New Years Day. read more

Great pizza! I placed a phone order about 8:35 and I think they were ready to start cleaning up. I asked the lady if I could still order and she was very pleasant and said "oh yes!" When I arrived she was super sweet and the guy making the pizza was also very nice. I'm visiting from out of town....this is my 2nd time getting a pizza from there. The pizza has been excellent both times. I would definitely recommend it. read more

Blind Onion is my go-to for take out (but I like coming here with the fam, too). Fast, friendly service, board/card games for fam when dining in, about 8 beers on tap, and the za is really good! Three large flat screens showing sports, background music never playing too loud, WiFi while you wait. This locale is never super busy and, given all the above, i love just hanging out w a beer while i wait for take out. read more

Really enjoyed the veggie (especially the artichoke hearts), loved the twisted crust, and despite being pretty busy, (and possibly a new recruit on the register?) we were helped in a very timely manner, and our to-go pizza was ready in half the time they told us. This place is great! The pizza is usually pretty good and the people working the counter are typically personable, but tonight whoever the man in the hat working the counter was left a terrible impression. Not friendly despite my attempts at being courteous. He was rude, unwelcoming and just kind of a d*ck, really. He was just rude to everyone! Maybe a class on etiquette or customer service training would help. So sad that a terrible interaction erases all the niceties. We've been here several times and just cannot get it right for some reason. The first few times we tried towards the beginning of Covid was good, but there is just always something that's wrong. We typically always get half pepperoni, half light cheese with a small side of marinara to go with it for dipping. Most of the time we order it is not light cheese, it's over baked, or the side sauce of marinara is missing. We really like the crust and the overall flavor of the pizza when it's right, but for some reason there's always something off. Will probably keep trying them since they're close to us, but they are kind of expensive to keep trying and we are never 100% satisfied with the service or product. read more

Be mindful if you use your credit card, to keep your charge slip duplicate and compare it with your credit card statement. On the last two visits, someone added an additional $3.00 to the tip, which showed up on my statement. I have to believe that it was intentional because it happened twice--so check your credit card statements. Pizza and garlic cheesy bread is amazing but they are the least friendly restaurant in the area. Go to the Orchards or West side location where the employees are happy to see you! Food is just as good there and you have more beer choices. read more

The Blind Onion - Pizza Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

This is my first try at The Blind Onion. Passed it a dozen times on my way to Seasons Market but I never thought to stop by.. Maybe it's the name as I don't like onions lol. But I caught a glimpse of a picture featured on The Clipper ($5off coupon which I forgot to bring with me) and it looked like a great pizza pie so despite some of the negative reviews on here, I thought to give it a whirl. It was VERY GOOD. Pizza crust is nice, crunchy on the outside, nice and chewy on the inside. Well baked. Mine was NOT under cooked. The sauce was good and the toppings is fresh quality. I would definitely return for bigger orders. For those who haven't yet tried this place, I would encourage you to keep an open mind and try something new - You won't be disappointed. read more

Don't know if it's the current situation or if they're standards have just fallen off. Blind Onion has been one my wife's and I favorite pizza in the SW WA area. Currently live in Camas and have 6 other pizza places closer to my house and a few are decent. But went to ordered ahead for pick up yesterday. Arrived, picked up my large then drove back to Camas. Got home to my very hungry wife while my stomach was growling as well. Opened the box to find about 2 inches of one edge of the crust lightly tan and the remainder 100% completely raw dough. Called and was advised to cook at 350° for 5 minutes. Didn't quite work and looked up and followed Papa Murphy's cooking directions which worked. Needless to say #1 it wasn't fun dealing with a hangry pissed off wife. #2 if I wanted to cook my own, I would have went to Papa Murphy's for a lower cost than the $30 I spent on the large at Blind Onion. Don't know if I will ever go back, or ever be able to convince my wife to after restaurants open back up. read more

We heard good things about other Blind Onion locations and were excited to have one within walking distance of our house. We walked in for the first time at 8:25pm (they close at 9). The woman at the order desk was annoyed and said "if you order a pizza we are going to rush you out, because we close at 9." So we left and walked over to Philly Bilmos where they were very happy to see us, cooked up our excellent meal and enjoyed the healthy tip because we knew we were inconveniencing them. We won't return to BO in Fishers Landing. As a new establishment, and with other pizza places in the area, their first impression on service was all I needed to see. read more

This was my first and last visit to a Blind Onion location. We tried this location because we're on 164th frequently and I'd heard such good things about them. To start off, they need a better busperson. You should not enter a restaurant and see several tables needing cleaning. We ordered a Margherita pie and it came with so much cheese that it looked like a white pizza. Just google Margherita pie to get an idea of what it should look like. And it did not taste freshly made. And the crust was way to thick for this style of pie, and soggy, at that. I don't know how they manage to win the "Best of Clark County" award when there are places like Rally Pizza, Nonavo and La Sorrentina around. read more

Best pizza in Vancouver in my humble opinion. The crust was the best thing about the pizza and if the crust is right the pizza is usually good. We used to frequent the original store on Broadway in Portland and we were pleased to see the store over in Vancouver on fishers Landing. We tried their chop salads and we liked the chicken best, all were good but we just prefer chicken. As for comfort and cleanliness the store is both very comfortable and clean. The price for pizza is on par with most other above average pizza places in the area. Service was friendly. read more

We have usually had a very good experience at this restaurant, but recently had a disappointing take out pizza. I contact the manager by e-mail, and he was extremely responsive to my explanation of the problem. He responded quickly and asked questions to help improve their process. He also provided the opportunity for us to give it another try, and we were very pleased with the margherita pizza. The salads are also very good. If you get take out, look at your pizza before you leave the store, to be sure it is prepared as expected. read more

This is our favorite pizza. Both my husband and I think they make the best tasting pizza crust. It's buttery tasting and not too thick. The toppings are ample, unlike the pizza place that previously occupied this spot. The prices are about average for a non-chain. They aren't typically crowded, so wait time is good. read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant but we were really dissapointed. We ordered half veggie/half chicken parmesan pizza. The pizza is really over-priced so we expected a good pizza, what a lie! It was under-cooked, the veggie half was horrible, tasteless, bunch of raw vegetables, onion , tomatoes, peppers, I don't even remember what other raw vegetables was on there so forgettable!, the chicken parmesan horrible too, the tomatoe sauce was actually tomatoe paste, bitter, acidic, bland, it stuck on the ceiling of my mouth, chicken without seasoning, no salt or pepper, ugh!. We are not that kind of people who complains, decided to eat couple of pieces and throw the rest away. We'll never going to comeback again. read more

I have been here a few times for both late lunch and dinner, and the staff have always been outstanding, friendly and quick at service. The food is excellent too; I love the many different (and rather unique) pizza combinations. First time to try Blind onion. Don't know if we'll return. Their pizza is OK but I don't understand why Blind Onion was voted best pizza in Vancouver in 2016. We ordered the vegetarian pizza. The vegetables were placed on top after the pizza was baked. The tomatoes were cold. The crust was good but thicker and denser than I like. The sauce tasted like seasoned tomato paste to me. The cheese was... wrong somehow -- not going to say it was fake cheese, but it was a bit mealy. Maybe it wasn't cooked enough to get sufficiently nice and melty. This is our favorite pizza place now in Vancouver. The generals is the best. The pizza crust is what I call a pastry type. Good just on its own. I tried the warmed pizza they sell at lunch and did not like it as well as a fresh one for take out or dine in, so stick with those. Very comfortable casual place. read more

We've had take out from this new location twice now. Both times have been really good, I think this might be our new go to pizza place. Great place. I have always enjoyed Blind Onion ever since I was a kid. This place has great food at a reasonable price. I take my family at least once or twice a month for pizza, bread sticks, and beer. They have 4-6 beer choices on tap along with some ciders and bottles. First off, the prices of their pizza is ridiculous. If you "create your own pizza", it is $2.50 a topping. My pizza rang up to $30. When I got the pizza, the dough was not cooked all the way through.
