Cheap beer and great food! Outside seating that's dog friendly and looks over the water ! Service was a little slow but that's just because it was busy, the staff was all super friendly and even brought a dog bowl out for the pup. Live music on a Sunday afternoon was a nice touch. Great spot overall.

The service was fantastic. We sat inside and it was quiet and comfortable. We ordered the Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ordered the grouper dinner and I had wings. Everything was very good.

This place is a hidden gem. We had the best server. She kept the refills coming and checked on us frequently. We sat outside overlooking the river, it was shady and so relaxing despite the 90+ degrees outside. There's a bar outside and also inside A/C seating but I didn't check it out. A full bar selection as well as many food options. I got a 10-piece shrimp basket with tots and everything was so good! The slaw and hush puppies were fantastic and there was more food than I could eat. Prices were reasonable. Parking lot is not very big so that's a potential issue.

Open on a Holiday! Amazing service!! Many great choices. Best hush puppies (yum!) Very decent prices Large portion (I had the 4 fish tacos (amazing) only down side was the soft shells began a collapse during the consumption process). I also really liked the slaw.

Food was great and we just walked right in to get sat. Took about 20-30 mins but didn't feel too long. Waiter was nice and checked back when needed, but had to ask her for a refill on drinks once or twice. The shrimp po'boy was good but I had to take the shrimp tails off(not a big deal just a personal preference). I also had to add mayo since the sandwich seemed a little dry. There were fans outside to combat the heat, and wasn't too busy. We sat facing the water which was nice. Would go back to eat or sit for a drink.

We stopped here for a bite and drinks after kayaking on the Rainbow River. It's a very cool little outside area with a bar. There's inside too but we like the outdoor tiki area because we had our dog and she could be with us out there. Everyone loved on her as they walked by and she got lots of attention. We ordered clam chowder, the Reuben sandwich and fish plate. Both were decent. Cute little place!

Got raw oysters tonight? Where are they coming in from and how big are they?

Are dogs allowed at the blue gator?

w.ell behaved dogs are there ioften....fun to see them big ,little just snoozing under the tables

How's the "super grouper platter" genuine grouper?

In this day and age it's difficult at best for seafood consumers to be absolutely certain what type of fish they are actually being served. But I would bet that what Blue Gator is serving is being sold to them as Grouper.

If it's during the day, tube floaters, paddle boarders, and small boats pass by making for some fun entertainment. However, the food and service are really lacking but has been for years. And it really doesn't matter...due to the atmosphere, people will continue to come here no matter what! It's literally that great! If you are at the bar ordering a drink due to the fact you will wait for a table, no matter the time of day...Do not get stung by the huge amount of bees that surround the soda station and the right side of the bar. I understand that the bartenders and servers are busy but service and attitudes are to the extreme! I think that businesses forget to tell their employees...people are PAYING to eat here. Most on vacation and don't want an attitude. But again, due to the atmosphere...most people will overlook the attitudes. Anyway, the food is severely lacking. We are locals and have eaten here many a time. Just remember the prices on the menu are not because the food and service are amazing...it's because of the atmosphere. P.s. please stop serving glass to people who are drinking and heading to the water.

Hard to match my previous escargot plates in other restaurants. The other appetizer was gator bites. I liked that! For our main entree we shared a seafood combo but you had to choose from fried, boiled or blackened and we chose fried they couldn't accommodate having half the plate cooked a different way so was just too much fried seafood. The platter brings shrimp, white fish, scallops, à crab cake, and oysters. The shrimp were big and tasty, and the white fish was delicious scallops were also good but the rest not so much. It's hard to eat all fried and all seasoned the same except the crab cake ( a lot of veggies in it and not enough crab so you don't really eating à crab cake) I hope this helps

I'm thinking management must have changed because wow the staff has been better. We both ordered the same thing which we loved from our last trip 2 years ago, the Royal Red Alfredo. We get our dish and it is clearly not what we ordered last time but figure we haven't seen our waitress for 10 minutes and she never even checked on us. We had been out all day so we're starving. Oh, worth mentioning...it was my Birthday. Didnt even get a "Happy Birthday" after mentioning it to our waitress. My mother had to get a refill from the bar. The more we eat the more we realize this wasn't what we ordered, but rather the Shrimp Scampi variant. We call for the manager who argues with us over what an Alfredo sauce is which clearly it is not...he swears it is and that it has separated into God knows what as all we see is a soppy mess of butter and garlic. I show him a picture from Yelp of another customer's Alfredo from the restaurant we are CURRENTLY sitting in and told this is an old picture...We both realize we're getting gaslit as we know what an alfredo sauce is and had the exact dish so we know what it looks like. We agreed that we ate the food and will pay the price for the scampi dish they served us which is $2 cheaper than what we actually ordered. They refused to lower the bill so we left and paid without tipping. I've never had an experience quite like this where the manager will not even work with you. Not even an apology...we will never be back here again. You can judge for yourself if that looks like Alfredo to you. If you want straight seafood, this place might be alright, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.

I ordered a single cheeseburger, small fry and a root beer. Wish they offered a combo of some sort as it was $13. The root beer was my pull to come here (obviously!) and I had such high hopes. Unfortunately it was flat and tasted watered down. It came straight out the tap and my mouth was watering waiting for it. Just didn't taste good, maybe my expectations were too high. The cheeseburger was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. It wasn't horrible but I was expecting something to sink my teeth into. It was just simply "ok". The French fries were the highlight. I like root beer and don't claim to be a connoisseur, but know that in-house recipes can sometimes be a bit different than the traditional canned sodas.
