We loved our experience at The Boathouse Sunday Park mainly because Holly, our waitress, was phenomenal. She was the sweetest most attentive person. We also loved how she knew the menu items very well and helped us pick options for our family easily. It had been several years since our previous visit so this was a nice welcome back. The 5 stars is because the atmosphere was wonderful, the food tasted amazing and the staff were excellent. The pricing is too high for some of the food options (in my opinion) because I've tasted better, with bigger portions for less price elsewhere, but.....nowhere near the ambiance and service that we experienced at The Boathouse, so I don't mind paying a little extra. We ordered a burger, fish sampler, clam chowder, salad, Brussels sprouts and the zookie for dessert and enjoyed all of it. read more

Live coming here. It is really close to home and have always had a great experience. Come during the summer and sit outside near the water. As dinner approaches you can watch the sun go down over the lake, nice experience. Also can come dying the summer and sit at the bar outside and have some drink and food. There is a outside and inside bar. Also plenty of seating inside when it is cold or if that is your preference. Always love the food. I don't think you can see the kids menu online but I included a picture in case you have a picky eater. It gets pretty busy during the summer so recommend getting a reservation prior to coming. During COVID it is all different. You scan a QR code and order online. Then the food and drinks come right to your table. When we were there is was a little annoying that everyone you ordered another rounds of drinks it did a different charge on your card instead of just doing a complete bill at the end. But whatever COVID has changed everything. read more

I was very impressed with my recent visit to The Boathouse for a special event. Our group had an entire section reserved in a private area of the restaurant, which was a nice touch. The event started with appetisers and an open bar. We had two servers working our event - both of whom were so lovely, but stretched thin. It would have been nice to have some backup, as the bar was often left unattended, so it could be hard to get a drink or water refill. We had the choice of two entrees for dinner, but I wasn't able to eat either. Our waitress was very accommodating and the chef prepared a vegan dish for me. The vegan "crab"cakes were excellent! Overall, The Boathouse did a great job and I appreciated their hospitality and good food. read more

The Boathouse offers a serene waterfront oasis to destress and unwind over a nice meal in a socially distant, outdoor space. I visited over Labor Day weekend, with mild weather and blue skies overhead. The closest party was probably 15 yards away. Servers were masked and friendly, and we ordered and paid via bar codes on the table. Reserved via OpenTable. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to pace out your own courses right now. Pay as you go, and service fees are built in. We started with ceasar salads, which were okay but I prefer creamier dressing personally. For my meal, I chose the fish and chips. It was actually the first fish I had ordered in years. I don't eat fish usually, but I figured I should at a seafood restaurant by the water, plus the one server raaaaved about it. It was cod, and it also happened to be my first time trying cod. I actually really enjoyed the dish! The tartar sauce was super tasty too. And I loved the fries. Only annoying part was the flies that flocked to me (and only me). For dessert, I had the classic zookie despite being totally full. It was worth it. Delicious, in a word. We lingered because the vibe was so peaceful, and it was nice not to be rushed or on a time limit. I appreciate all the Covid precautions they had in place for our visit. I have been coming to the boat house, in one location or another, for years. This location in particular used to be a brunch regular for family, but lately... I'm not so sure. The service has suffered really badly. The last time I was here, I never got my dessert, my coffee was terrible, my date's lunch was wrong... But on previous visits I had a great time and the food was delicious. I'm not giving up quite yet, their other locations are still doing pretty well when I stop in there, but it's definitely on increasingly thin ice every time someone I know goes and doesn't really enjoy themselves. read more

The salad forks were crusty, dirty, and unwashed. So gross!! The food service was SO SLOWWW and I was extremely hungry for a long time. The food was very good and the server was nice. The ambiance is okay, the view and area is also very nice. Deserts were delicious, but it took exactly 33 minutes and 2 seconds for it to come (we timed the time between ordering desserts and getting the desserts). It's one of the few places on the water but it was just so so today. Salmon and bagel came with burnt bagel, no capers and no onions. A couple of slices of not yet ripe tomatoes. Omelet and home fries was presented a little less impressive than Waffle House. No greenery, couple pieces of fruit, nothing. They've changed the recipe for their Oysters Rockefeller! We went to happy hour specifically for the $1 oysters. The raw oysters were good, the drinks were good... but the 'Rocks were just plain bad!
