Second time at The Boathouse, and the experience just keeps getting better with every visit. This time, we sat outside, and it was nice watching the boats come in and out of the dock. The ambience was very lively. Once again, the warm rolls were a highlight! Our server quickly took our order. I started with the lobster bisque, which was creamy and delicious. We also shared the oyster platter with shrimp, and although I'm not a huge oyster lover, the shrimp was excellent. For the main course, my cousin and I split the steak and fries and the Maine lobster roll. Both were delicious! We were so full that we had no room for dessert. Overall, The Boathouse was excellent, and I will definitely keep returning whenever I'm in the area.

We were based in the Tampa area for a family beach vacation, but since most of the crew had never been to Orlando, we decided to make a little side quest to Disney Springs. My cousin in law had one mission and one mission only. Eat a great steak at The Boathouse. As a family that will happily drive an hour or two for a good meal, this was an easy decision. Right from the start, the front desk team set the tone. We asked if we could sit outside, and they happily accommodated us. Then Florida decided to do what Florida does and sent us a little wind and rain. We thought we had made a terrible choice until the staff calmly lowered the outdoor shades, turning what could have been a soggy dinner into one of the most comfortable patio meals we have had. It was such a thoughtful touch. My husband and I almost always split an entrée because restaurant portions have become absolutely wild, and this was no exception. We shared the 14 ounce boneless ribeye cooked medium rare while his cousin and her husband ordered the same steak cooked medium. Unfortunately, both steaks arrived more done than requested. Enter Tony. Not only did he not make us feel awkward about sending them back, he treated it like it was no big deal and immediately made it right. He checked on us throughout the meal, kept us laughing, and genuinely wanted us to leave happy. You can tell the difference between someone who is just doing their job and someone who actually enjoys taking care of people. Tony is definitely the latter. Round two was perfection. That ribeye was so tender I barely needed a knife. Splitting it turned out to be the right call because we had already demolished an order of truffle fries before dinner arrived. Zero regrets. Those fries deserved their own applause. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Sitting along the water at Disney Springs with all the boats docked nearby gives it a relaxed coastal feel, and the nautical décor strikes the perfect balance. It has character without feeling like someone emptied an entire seaside gift shop onto the walls. Between the outstanding service, a staff that genuinely cared, an incredible steak, and a setting that made us want to linger a little longer, The Boathouse was easily one of the highlights of our Florida trip. We came for the steak, stayed for the atmosphere, and left wondering if there was enough room for one more order of truffle fries. We will absolutely be back.

The Boathouse -- Disney Springs, Orlando FL Loved the ambiance here. Family -friendly, well-lit, and a solid mix of options for seafood lovers and non-seafood eaters alike. We sat at the bar and watched mixologist Tara work her magic. The drinks were delicious and didn't skimp on the alcohol. Wait staff were courteous throughout, and the kitchen staff who brought food to the bar were just as pleasant. The host was great at check-in too. We would've waited twenty minutes otherwise, but they got us seated quickly. Food-wise: I had the shrimp boil, which was tasty but needed help. The flavorful butter on the bottom of the dish should've also come on the side as a dip and drizzled over everything, especially the shrimp, which was a little under-seasoned for a boil. I ended up adding hot sauce to round it out. My husband got the burger and fries. The fries came out cold (clearly plated before the rest of the order), and the burger, ordered medium well, ended up a bit dry. He should've gone with well done. Not a bust by any means. Prices were reasonable, service was strong, and we'd definitely go back.

Brynli was one of the best servers I've had. She was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and strived to make everything as perfect as possible. As far as the food goes, the bread was fresh, soft and warm, a great start. I then had one oyster, the lucky dux. It was beautifully presented and I wished I had more. My pan-roasted halibut in beurre blanc was flaky and delicious, a generous portion. It felt a little unfinished without a starch, but the French green beans and tomatoes were a nice accompaniment. My partner had the ribeye with lobster Oscar that at first was a little overdone, then it was underdone, and the third time was the charm. Brynli was very understanding and wanted to be sure it came out to his liking; we appreciated that she made it right. Last, the shipwreck I had was huge, refreshing, and strong. All in all, a great meal in a quaint place.

This might have been the best meal I had during our vacation. For starters, our angel baby of a server ( who I cannot remember his name), was just the best. He was funny, personable and so kind. He truly made our dining experience perfect. I started with the lobster bisque and it was heaven. A must order. Their oysters were also super fresh and not fishy. The real treat was my perfectly cooked petite filet. I have no notes for it, it was heaven. I'll be dreaming about that steak until I'm back again next year.

Ok I only got drinks here and one app but I loved this place. We grabbed a high top table outside at the pier bar. First off amazing view. The waitress was awesome and brought our drinks almost immediately. I can't wait to go back. Great place for a drink.

Great waterfront dining with fresh seafood and steaks Had dinner at The Boathouse in Orlando and ordered the dinner rolls, Caesar salad, yellowfin tuna poke, and New York steak with fries. Everything was well-prepared and made for a satisfying meal. The dinner rolls were warm, soft, and a great way to start. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp with a nice balance of dressing and parmesan. The yellowfin tuna poke was a standout appetizer--fresh, flavorful, and light, with high-quality tuna and well-balanced seasonings. For the main course, the New York steak was cooked okay, tender, and full of flavor. The fries were seasoned well, making a classic pairing that didn't disappoint. Service was attentive and professional throughout the meal. The staff checked in regularly and made the dining experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The vibe is one of the best parts of dining here. Located on the waterfront at Disney Springs, the restaurant offers beautiful views, a lively atmosphere, and a polished yet approachable feel. It's a great spot for date nights, celebrations, or simply enjoying a nice meal after a day of exploring. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with good food, great service, and a fantastic location. I'd happily return on my next trip to Orlando.

This place had such a great atmosphere with views of the lake and live piano music. The staff/my waitress was so kind, approachable, and efficient. we had the house special oysters "lucky duxe" which ere small, sweet, and delicious!! The yellowfin tuna poke was so fresh--the mango and avocado complimented each other well--yum!!! We also really enjoyed the lobster roll w(it had chunks of lobster!) and the grilled fish tacos! I think the only dish I didn't like that much was the lobster bisque bc it had more of a tomato flavor than lobster flavor. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to people!

Our group of 6 visited on 06.07.26 for a birthday dinner. 3 of us had never been. Ben was our server and he was amazing! He was very patient with us, checked on us at the right times...he really took care of us. He's a real asset to the restaurant. Decor was great and very fitting. Great recommendation on the beer. Food was great! Very tasty! My only complaint was that my steak was a little dry, but that's partly on me as I had it well done. The char was wonderful. Everyone left the restaurant very full. We did not NEED dessert, but we sure wanted the Strawberry Shortcake. That was so good! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great ambiance and food. Service was a little slow but the summer is picking up so to be expected at times. Make sure to make a reservation or you will have a long wait. We made a reservation but it is $25 per person if not canceled within 24 hours if you're unable to make the reservation. One of my friends is gluten-free, and the manager came by and made sure to address her needs and also recommended all of the gluten-free options on the menu. They were very attentive and cautious, which is super important. We had a great time and I definitely will be back again. The food was super yummy.

The oysters are a MUST! i loved them! The wait is long so i recommend a reservation. I just walked in and sat at the bar and ordered a drink and the oysters. I would 100% go back! Beautiful views as well.

The score is would have been better if my friend hadn't chip his tooth on the shrimp and grits he ordered. I informed the manager of this mishap which he apologized for. But he was condescending about what happened. The manager stated that my friend already had an issue with his tooth prior to dining here. Now to the good stuff, the atmosphere and ambiance was great. We sat out on the deck which had some great views and it was a beautiful day. Next our server "Ben" was really good and he tended to all of our needs very promptly. He was nice and friendly. The food was great that my wife and I ordered. The menu had a lot of choices but i chose the steak & eggs with b'fast potatoes. My wife had the avocado toast which she said it was really tasty. We also ordered several oysters which were really fresh, it was like they pulled them from the water as we ordered. I personally had 4 fried oysters and my wife and friend had some raw oysters. Let me say that the fried oysters were some of the best I've ever had and I would definitely order these again and a lot more of them. So the food and atmosphere is definitely a 5 star but a 3 for the unprofessional comment made by one of its managers. I still highly recommend this place but get there early because this is a popular restaurant and it gets full on a hurry.

filet mignon sliders & side of fries
    Doria D.

We stopped by the boathouse for a quick little snacky that I've had on my list of must tries for a while. We started off with a signature cocktail and a blended daiquiri. My partner loved the daiquiri, it was super refreshing on an extremely hot day in Florida. The duck duck razz was okay, on the sweeter side. But let's be honest, I really just wanted it for the duck! The rolls were good. Seems like they were glazed with a honey butter, and also came with honey butter on the side. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of our bites, but we got the filet mignon sliders and fries to try. They were very simple but still good. The fries were a little limp for my liking. The inside has very limited seating so make a reservation if you want to be seated in the AC. Overall the service was great and there is plenty on the menu that I still want to try so we will definitely be back.

The Boathouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - The Boathouse

Is there a happy hour menu?

They do not have a happy hour menu but they do have specialty items per day! They are given out on a smaller menus and are usually seen right above their oyster assortment for the day!

I was wondering if there is room to eat dinner at the bar without reservations? Thank you

Yes, you can eat at the bar with no reservation. There's always people hovering around waiting to get a spot at the bar.

Is any of the menu available to go?

Yes they do have carry out

Can we also order lunch appetizers during brunch?

Yes! If you go during brunch hours, it basically means you have the option to order brunch in addition to the regular menu. You do not need to order a brunch item if you happen to be dining during this window.

Do you serve a turkey dinner a few days before?

    No why would they.

Are there bugs (mosquitoes) when eating waterfront at night?

We were on the water during July and didn't experience any mosquitos!

    Are there any mocktail options?

Yes! There's a full bar so they can make pretty much any mocktail you'd like.

    Is it noisy dining inside?

Yes, especially when it's full. They also have live music some nights which makes it even noisier.

    Does it smell fishy inside?

Thankfully it does not. There is an open breeze outside, ample AC inside and some breeze through the large front and back doors. Not fishy, even by the oyster bars.

Do you use blue crab meat in your crab cakes?

    Yes we do!!

Do they have a Sunday brunch menu?

Yes it’s at the bottom of this link. It was awful!…

Do you have to pay admission for the park to eat at the Boathouse?

No, parking at Disney Springs is free.

How can I get to eat in the boat inside?

Hello my love, download the Disney world, app once you create a log in, you can browse reservations and times that best suits you. That is how you can eat here.…

    Are you booked for Thanksgiving?

We currently only have late night reservations available. For example 10:00, 10:30 or 10:45 pm. We will have open seating at the bar and outside dock area.

Does the boathouse have gluten free buns?

They do have a Gluten and Diary free bun/bread however I would double check with your server when you order to ensure you are getting that option! The servers are very accommodating

What is the best parking garage for the Boathouse?

The Lime Garage is the closest to the Boathouse. https://www.disneysprings.com/disney-springs-map/

How far in advance can you book a reservation?

They go by disney rules which are 180 days (or 180 from arrival if staying on property). During covid rule is at 60 days.

Does the boathouse serve stone crab when it is in season?

    Yes

Do you have any fun non-alcoholic mocktails? Will be coming there in a few weeks and I am pregnant :)

There's not any mocktails on the menu, and the cocktail menu isn't as exciting or extensive as some other Disney eateries. However, I'm sure you can order any cocktail as a virgin. Hope this helps!

How much is the car boat ride?

It’s about $125 but if you eat at the restaurant they give you a coupon that brings the price down to $100 if I remember correctly.

Bull & Bear is all about delicious and filling fine dining, elegant surroundings, and impeccable…read moreservice. The restaurant was full of guests dressed to impress and speaking in hushed tones. All the steaks and chops around the room looked amazing with great aroma. The lighting is dim, but the large windows let in a lot of light to read menus. I recommend a table for two by the big windows overlooking the pool (and 9pm fireworks) or a comfy booth along the wall with the same view. We appreciated the perfect timing and temperature of our dishes. Our amuse bûche was a yummy ceviche packed with seafood. I would definitely order it if on the menu. The crudo appetizer was a standout dish - so fresh and flavorful, and beautifully presented. My smooth, delicious, piping hot sherry-infused lobster bisque was poured over a sizable slice of lobster, at the table. My dining partner was impressed with the delicious taste and temp of their Iberico Chop. I adored my perfectly seared and moist sea bass with fluffy gnocchi in a decadent, rich and creamy mushroom sauce (I substituted sea bass for escargot). The large, indulgent lobster mac side dish was an excellent compliment to both mains. It was flavorful with plenty of lobster; and the delicious crust on top would make amazing cheese crisps. Servers walked around with a variety of fresh, warm, yummy breads -- though 14 Prime breads in Jax taste better. The arrival of the crème brûlée flambée was reminiscent of a bananas foster presentation in NOLA. Unfortunately, the flames were the most interesting aspect of the crème brûlée. Flavor was not particularly special, and chocolate at the bottom tasted like pudding. Dessert was just 'ok' at Bull & Bear & Oscar's. Another small nitpick was the lack of black napkins for black outfits. Service was professional, yet approachable. Servers gave great recommendations without unnecessary upselling. They worked in teams, so there was always someone available to assist. Open 6-10pm daily, our reservation secured the table all night -- no rushing to turn tables over for the next guest. Some dishes include table side preparation, so prices reflect showmanship (e.g., lobster bisque poured at the table; table side César salad preparation; meat board & Dover sole table side deboning and plating; crème brûlée served in flames; strawberry ice cream created table side). We look forward to returning again and again.

Those who follow my reviews know that I eat out quite a bit and review hundreds of restaurants on…read moremany platforms. So when I say that this steakhouse is among the best meals I've ever eaten I am saying quite a lot. Honestly, I only ate here because I had a gift card, but I will be returning over and over again because meals do not get any better than this. Let me explain. From the moment you walk in your treated with incredible courtesy. Every member of the staff, whether they are waiting at you or just walking by make eye contact and make you feel valued just for being there. The ambience of the restaurant is typical steakhouse, but it is quite elegant as can be seen in the pictures. The tables are set beautifully, but still, I can't get over how good the service is considering the number of people at the restaurant. Other fine restaurants should experience an evening here to learn how to do it right. But at a steakhouse ir comes down to two things. The quality of the steak and how it is prepared. Here is where they excel. Every cut of meat is among the best. Not simply top cuts but carefully selected to be exemplary. And each steak is treated in a way that you would expect something so valuable to be prepared. They are cooked perfectly, but not just temperature. The balance of seasoning adds to, but never overpowers the flavor of the delicious meat that they are serving. We start our meal with the crabcakes, not your typical crabcakes which are heavily into the breading and minimally into the crab. These are wonderful cakes of crab prepared, unique and beautiful way, which was just so tasty that I was thrilled that I had ordered it. They brought over some complementary meatballs, which also were stellar. But the main event was the steak and as previously stated, it was just delicious. Clearly among the best I've ever eaten even a place ranked as the top steakhouses in the world. Clearly, the people that do the rankings didn't drop in here. Because we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a complementary dessert. Nothing fancy, but we were not going to eat dessert anyway having filled up on a wonderful meal. Perhaps next time. This is the type of place where you are already looking forward to next time as you are even getting ready to walk out the door. Loved it and highly recommend.

Firstly, the complimentary cordial valet that greets you driving up is a perfect touch. It starts you off feeling well attended and pampered. Good job! We had an rsvp, and were greeted by staff at the podium. We had waiter Christian, who is over the top fantastic! Not too much, not too little. A perfect feel for handling customers. All Staff are both formal (tux!) and friendly. They are swift, Helpful and with great attention to detail. I broke a wine glass & they were all over it in a moment, like it never happened! And apologized to ME?! We love our steakhouses for special occasions, so this is a definite yes in our list. We decided to choose an app to share, two entrees & one side. We got a crab cake app (fabulous), 4 complimentary meatballs (also delish!), side of au gratin corn flake top potatoes, 24 oz bone in ribeye and 8 oz filet mignon, butterflied. ALL great! If you are in the market for one splurge dining experience off Disney property, then Don't sleep on Charley's. They know how to make it special in every way! FYI our bill-$200 before tip. The restaurant has a warm rustic design with exposed wood, tall ceilings, and large windows that create an inviting atmosphere while giving you views of the surrounding Disney Springs area. It feels like a relaxed place to slow down during a busy day of shopping and exploring, especially if you are looking for a full sit-down meal instead of a quick bite. The food was the biggest highlight of my visit, with the menu focusing on hearty Southern dishes that are meant to be shared or enjoyed as a satisfying meal. The Art's Famous Fried Chicken was easily the standout, with a crispy exterior, juicy interior, and the kind of comforting flavor you expect from a well-executed fried chicken dish. The sides helped make the meal even better, especially the creamy mac and cheese, cheddar cheese drop biscuits, and sweet potato mash. Everything felt generous in portion size, so it is definitely the type of restaurant where arriving hungry is the right move. The drink menu adds another unique part of the experience, especially with the selection of moonshine-based cocktails. The Moonshine Flyte and fruit-infused moonshine drinks offer something different from a typical restaurant bar menu and pair well with the heavier Southern dishes. The bar area also has a lively atmosphere, making it a good option if you want to stop by for a drink or a smaller snack without committing to a full dining experience. Since Homecomin' is one of the more popular restaurants at Disney Springs, planning ahead is important. During busy lunch and dinner hours, getting a table without a reservation can be difficult, and advance dining reservations are usually the best way to avoid a long wait. The service during my visit was friendly and attentive, with the staff doing a good job managing the busy dining room while keeping the meal moving at a comfortable pace. Overall, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' is one of the strongest table-service options at Disney Springs for a filling and memorable meal. The combination of flavorful Southern comfort food, generous portions, welcoming atmosphere, and creative moonshine drinks makes it a restaurant worth planning around. It offers a dining experience that feels distinct from typical theme park food while still fitting perfectly into a Disney Springs visit.

We even considered ordering a second serving of poutine, but decided against it because we were already so full that we were worried we wouldn't have room for our steaks. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, had excellent flavor, and was beautifully presented. The maple-whiskey-glazed Brussels sprouts and sautéed asparagus with Béarnaise were also delicious. The service was five-star. Our waitress was knowledgeable, courteous, funny, and professional. She checked on us several times and timed everything perfectly. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy, romantic atmosphere. I've read reviews from people who felt the seating was cramped or claustrophobic, but I didn't get that impression at all. The spacing felt comparable to any other restaurant. The wine flight was excellent, with a smooth and flavorful selection. I also tried a La Fin du Monde and enjoyed it very much. This restaurant is expensive, so come prepared--but in my opinion, the price matches the quality, service, and overall experience. Just be careful with the poutine; it may defeat you before the entrée arrives.

So when you go to a Disney World restaurant expect that you'll be paying for a high end meal but…read moreend up with a average one at best. Disney is not selling Michelin, they're selling Disney. So if you do that you can't be disappointed and yet I was. The dinning area we were placed in was very nice but the table for four would probably have been better for two. The dinning area was pretty covered by tables and diners proving the staff to be extremely skilled in their service. Our challenge was that between two glasses (water and soda), an entree plate, light in the center of the table and two vegetable plates to be shared, it was cramped and a culinary obstacle course. So I got the preliminarily experience out of that way let's move on to the meals. Only two appetizers were ordered, the Lobster Bisque which was presented very well but was a bit underwhelming. Then there was the Pork Belly. Now pork bellly, when executed correctly, should just melt in your mouth. The joy of the pork belly if the rendered fat and tender meat. NEITHER existed with this fish. Where the Lobster Bisque was underwhelming, the Pork Belly was a criminal offense. The table ordered one Filet Mignon, one New York Strip and two Bone-in Ribeyes. The Filet was a good piece of meat, and cooked perfectly to a medium. The New York Strip and Bone-in Ribeyes were not close to the quality of the pricing. These were priced like Capital Grille and delivered more like a Texas Roadhouse without the execution. My ribeye was accompanied by a crab cake on top. Yes it had crab on it, but that cake was all shape and nothing else. Don't get me wrong, I prefer my crab cakes aren't mostly filler, but I also expect a little effort in creating a dining experience. The entrees were served with either mashed potatoes, flavorless or scalloped potatoes. The scalloped potatoes were one of the two best tings about this meal. Enough so my wife gave up on her mashed potatoes and told k over my scalloped potatoes and asparagus. There were also two sides ordered, creamed spinach which, here we go again, was underwhelming and the second star of the night, the brussel sprouts. Best flavor of the evening hands down. These were excellent. The meal was finished off with chocolate cake that was fine. Overall I gave this restaurant 2 stars and would never go back. The experience was not worth the almost $500 cost that included a $100 tip (with no alcoholic beverages ordered). Definitely not when there are some AMAZING steakhouses in the area both chain and local that will deliver excellent aged cuts of beef. My personal favorite is F&D Prime Modern Steakhouse in Lake Mary, but I also think STK in Disney Springs delivers a much better culinary experience at the same if not slightly higher costs. So the only question I have for such a disappointing experience is, is it laziness, cost control or just a rush to deliver servings that led the such a blah dinner? Or maybe it's Disney arrogance that their visitors will pay anything just to say I did it? Neither is good and pride should matter which here it clearly didn't.

My wife & I had the butcher board with Mac and cheese & waffle fries, plus I added on the brisket burnt ends. Everything was perfectly seasoned & tender.
