Luckily it didn't take too long either for their to make my dinner and the people at the to go counter were efficient and friendly. The restaurant looked nice and busy on a Tuesday night . There were lots of people were waiting to eat. I ordered 3 pounds of shrimp medium the whole shabang plus two corns and an order of potatoes for my man and I. Again, we got lots of garlic pieces as well. Oh we also got Cajun fries too; they were a little soggy for my liking though. A little over 65$ altogether but we had plenty of leftovers as well for the next day. Happy to ask that we didn't have to ask for lemons and salt and pepper. They even offered us bibs! We had such a great time at The Boiling Crab! The food was amazing and everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. We ordered 1 lb of snow crab and 1 lb of shrimp with sausage, corn, eggs, and potatoes, all tossed in the house sauce with medium spice. Let me tell you medium is pretty spicy, but still totally worth it if you like some heat. The flavor was perfect. They give you bibs and cover the table with wax paper so you can dump your food out and go to town. It's messy but so fun! I just wish they offered gloves too because I went through a crazy amount of napkins by the end. Definitely recommend if you want good seafood and a fun, hands-m on dining experience. My husband and I had racked our brains to find a restaurant to order takeout from to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It had been a long time since we have dined in a Boiling Crab restaurant (kids, pandemic, etc). Thankfully they offer phone orders and are super efficient. By the time my husband got ready leave, we already received a text that the order was ready! The service I experience over the phone was great. The person who helped me gave suggestions for what flavors tasted good with the seafood we chose to order. The only disappointment was that they were out of Dungeness crab the day we got takeout. (Also they would not have it in stock the following day). The sauces and seafood and add ins we got were so delicious and consistent with the times we have come to dine in. (When in doubt, choose the whole shebang, you can't go wrong!) We personally have not had the opportunity to dine in the Rosemead location, but hope to in the future (maybe without the kids lol). read more

some of the best quality seafood boil i've had in socal! the seafood is actually a good size here and they give a good amount of sauce. we ordered the fried calamari, fried oysters, cajun fries, and lemon pepper wings, as well as shrimp in the whole sha-bang sauce. i loved the fried foods, especially the oysters because they were pretty big. this location is in a plaza with plenty of parking, and there was no wait when we came in on sunday at noon. it is a little dark inside the restaurant, but there is plenty of seating for a family outing. they did get our order wrong because they gave us egg instead of potatoes?, but the service was still quick! read more

Very disappointed in the level of service provided by manager Nick. We visited boiling crab several times a month. Well today, we ordered mild (like usual). The shrimp came extremely spicy. My daughters didn't eat one shrimp. The waitress offered butter and brought us water. But the manager Nick, told us the shrimp is mild. When I told him my daughters haven't ate, he said "I'm not going to tell you what to order for your kids". He was not sympathetic at all. This was not at all how I expected to spend my birthday. Zero star. The staff seemed completely untrained, inexperienced, and uninterested in serving customers. From the moment we sat down, most of the employees were busy talking among themselves instead of paying attention to guests. The service was extremely slow, and when we tried to ask for help, they were dismissive and acted like we were bothering them. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to treat customers this way. The lack of professionalism and care really stood out. I'm not sure why, but the customer service here is lacking. I raised my hand multiple times, and although many employees made eye contact with my table, no one came to help us, even for a simple water refill. It also took them a good 30 minutes to bring us the bill after I raised my hand again. How long does it take for someone to assist us? The wait isn't too bad if you check in on Yelp and come back later, but the service is slow, and the staff seems to avoid helping tables. There was less shabang sauces in the shrimp and clams. I want to start off by saying that I have been eating BC for over a decade and I have noticed that the quality of the food has decreased in the recent years even though the prices have gone up. I often find that the sauce is quite oily now and the shrimp is soft and mushy. The shrimp has been mushy on my last three visits and it's not just one or two pieces but like majority of the bag. Service has also declined recently. In my last visit, I ordered the crab fries and it never came out until the end of our meal even though I followed up about it twice. When we finally got it, it was cold and barely had any sauce so I asked for more sauce. It took another 15 minutes to get the side of the sauce. No matter which Boiling Crab location I go to, I always end up having to wait at least an hour to get seats. Most of the fresh catch seafood is based on current market prices. It can get pretty pricey, especially the crab legs. My favorite catch is live crawfish, but I'll settle for the frozen crawfish or shrimp if they run out of live crawfish. Next time I would skip the blue crab. It gets very messy to remove the meat from the shells, and there is barely any meat inside of them. I recommend getting The Whole Sha-Bang sauce, which is a combination of their cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic sauce. I like the catch non spicy, as I find mild to already be too spicy for me. Between their fried items, I mainly enjoy the fried calamari. The fried calamari is perfectly crispy and crunchy with a good ratio of squid to batter. The basket of fries is nothing special, but it is a nice item to share with the table. Overall this is a decent restaurant for some Louisiana style seafood. Just be ready to get messy deshelling all the seafood. read more

Air conditioning was fanning through your head for hours that caused my daughter to have headache , she threw up and ended up sleeping in the car instead of waiting for the food.
