The store front

Was headed to another place, but saw this place and thought we'd go in for a try! It's set on the edge of a mall parking lot so plenty of parking! Went on a Sunday later morning and found seats easy! Service was friendly and fast! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The feeling inside was 'chain' like it that was fine. It felt like it would have a fun night time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the top sirloin, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. It all tasted delicious and great. Got real full! Sorry to say, wish it were all a bit warmer. It was like it sat on the serving counter for just a little too long, and the temp was more room temp then warm to hot. However, the flavor was great on all things, just wish it were a tad warmer than it was. If I am in the area again I might stop by again!

LUCILLE'S ORIGINAL PULLED PORK SANDWICH
Maria L.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday. This place was quite busy but we were seated right away. We had the following dishes: (1) chicken nuggets with dipping sauce: 3/5 stars. It was good but not spectacular. You have a choice of dipping sauces. (2) Pulled pork sandwich: 4/5 stars. It was quite tasty. Pork was not dry and sauce was flavorful. It is served with choice of one side. (3) Gumbo: 5/5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this dish. It has a lot of ingredients. This dish was filled with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage. Rice was served in the middle of the dish. It was delicious. The biscuits with honey butter were very good. 5/5 stars. Service was adequate. Server was friendly. Unlike my last visit, I am happy with my experience during this visit. The last time I had Lucille's BBQ was a take out order for Thanksgiving. The food at that time was disappointing. The meats were over cooked. But I figured they must have many orders for the holiday and they cannot handle the volume. Also, take out foods usually doesn't taste as good as dining in. Also, my take out was with a different location. This is my first time at this location and I am glad to have visited this location.

Brisket, Chicken, Ribs

**Online Pick Up** Located across from Macy's. There are parking spots reserved for online pick up. Wasn't busy when I stopped by but there was no one at the take out counter so had to wait for a bit. Ordered: Lunch Build Your Own Plate (St. Louis Ribs, Brisket and 1/4 Chicken) -- nice portion size. Brisket was a bit dry. Chicken was the best; moist and flavorful Buttermilk Fried Chicken -- lacked flavor; wasn't seasoned. Banana Pudding -- amazing banana pudding! I wished there were more wafers! Love the chucks of bananas too. Overall, decent BBQ. Would come back for their chicken and banana pudding!

Final bill $65.83 + added tip for service. Paid via individual dining table computer.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. Probably because the dodgers were playing and the bar has great tv positions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Walked in and was seated almost immediately. Greeted promptly by waiter. Waiter was on point and really over the top excellent with customer service and ensuring I had what I desired also routine checking up on my dining experience. I went with a peach lemonade instead of one of their many alcoholic drinks options. Lemonade was sweet and served in a nice size mason type jar. Complimentary corn bread biscuit also arrived with butter. Lemonade and biscuit was good. I ordered the three meat plate (choosing: brisket, baby back ribs and tri tip). Two sides I selected were macaroni cheese and coleslaw. Ribs were great with portion of four ribs on intact slab. Cooked well with perfect near fall off the bone meat. Bbq sauce glaze was on point. Next was the tri tip which was decent but way more moist than the brisket. Tritip was sliced thin and decent portion served with what appeared to be Au juice. Brisket was a disappointment because it seemed dry with charred and chewy outer portions. Cuts of brisket were nice and thick though I wish it was better. Hard to beat Texas style brisket especially as it labeled on their menu as such with a premium (slightly higher price). Macaroni and cheese was good as well as the coleslaw. Coleslaw was dressed well and not overly mayo which I enjoyed. I'm glad I was hungry and went with the extra meat added. Price point were a little steep as compared to quality. But service was excellent. Good place which is a chain and hence not the best bbq.

jalapeño cheddar sausage delicious

I have to say I really enjoyed stopping in here first time at this location. I got the cracked out deviled eggs, five dollars off of the happy hour menu as well as the bird ends. Both were really good. Definitely a bargain.. I went with a half rack of baby back ribs did my two side sides was the mac & cheese and the cornbread, and I added the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Everything was really good. I would order again except the mac & cheese nothing personal. I think it's me. I just don't like mac & cheese from restaurants. I don't know why I've never found a good one. It's gotta be me. It's not them. But everything else was great. The only thing I could possibly say is the burn ends were a little on the dry side

BBQ CHICKEN SALAD. Chicken is dry, not enough corn and cucumber. Dressing is good!

BBQ Chicken Salad to go! Pleasant employees as I picked up my order; they were friendly and attentive. Ambiance was upbeat and well lit. Unfortunately, the salad lacked a few things. The chicken was quite dry, corn and cucumber were barely visible. Oh! And black beans were no where to be seen. Biscuit was broken in half with stiff edges. Dressing was quite tasty! I enjoy Lucille's for the most part but wouldn't order this salad again.

Me encanto benir y espero regresar pronto. Good vibes! Tip: ordenen el te de durazno con poco hielo sino es media tasa de hielo o más Tip: order the peach iced tea with little ice or they will fill half cup with it or more Hasta la próxima, vean las fotos.

I've been to Lucille's a few times for special occasions, but my most recent visit was by far the best dining experience I've had there. I was celebrating an anniversary, and everything exceeded my expectations from the quality of the food to the outstanding service. Our waitress, Aracely, truly made the night unforgettable. She was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and her attentiveness never missed a beat. She was polite, enthusiastic, and incredibly professional; the best service I've ever received. She checked in often, kept our drinks and biscuits coming, and made excellent recommendations without ever feeling pushy. Because of her, I'll definitely be coming back and bringing my family with me. If you go, ask for Aracely. She's the best!

Im a big fan of BBQ spots I usually go to the one in Cerritos but it's a drive since I do live in Montebello. Walked right in and got sat. Ordered a peach lemonade my favorite along with some starters deviled eggs and the brisket queso dip. For my meal I got the pulled pork SW with fries also the two meats and two sides. The food is really good can't complain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a slow morning and our food did take a little while along with how cold it was in there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was freezing, literally couldn't wait to eat and get out of there. Also the customer service was ok. Basic, the ones in Cerritos they make you feel super welcome and they are really friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing I notice there was a lot of space and we got sat down where there was a lot of people. I like my space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall it's a good spot to stop by for a quick bite.

We finally hit Lucille's smokehouse BBQ It was really great it did not disappoint. We came out full and Happy . Our Server was great , [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice environment, it was clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and it was easy to join the waitlist ,

BBQ FEAST FOR TWO - Meat & Dessert Offerings
Hunter G.

We opted to try the 2 for ~$50 feast, comes with appetizer, three meats and dessert. For an additional $10, we added two sides to the line up. They bring a basket of fresh bread and sweet butter while you wait, we opted for the two side salads as our appetizer and they were insanely fresh. The meats were phenomenal, ribs and pulled chicken were our favorites. The sides, garlic mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, were mediocre in taste and warm at best while the dessert, fruit cobbler, was entirely too sweet with caramel drizzle and ice cream topping it for our taste. We tried the churro beignets that came with chocolate dipping sauce; the chocolate sauce was bitterly sweet. But, these on their own are incredibly airy and sweet, loved the cinnamon sugar coating on them. The service was mediocre at best and, while it could just be on my server, it seemed more like the servers were all stretched extremely thin across large sections. While our server was kind, he did seem backed up and made minor errors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the restaurant is spacious, comfortable and clean, the restrooms the same.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

"Food was ok, bit plates were served cold, drinks were great, and our server was very nice and attentive. Overall we had a ok experience. The only concern was when coming in the employee at the front handling to-go orders ( big guy) ; he was staring at us and laughing with another worker( short bald guy) , which made us a little uncomfortable and didn't feel appropriate. Aside from that, everything else was alright . Thank you."

Homemade Biscuits with Apple Butter
Jess B.

My husband and I had dinner here on a Wednesday evening. It was still kind of busy for around 8 PM but definitely not packed. My husband and I ordered BBQ feast for two to share between us. We had the pulled pork, tri tip, and brisket for meats. For sides, we ordered baked beans, mac and cheese, and loaded mashed potato (premium side for an extra &1.99). For an appetizer, we had the onion straws and for dessert, we had the cobbler with ice cream. The service was okay. The server took our order and everything was accurate. The person that checked on us frequently was actually our bartender. And she was super friendly and kind. As far as food, it was pretty subpar. The onion straws were really soggy. The loaded mashed potato was also just okay. The potato itself was so bland. The texture of all the meats were pretty tough so we didn't finish everything. The best part of the meal were the biscuits with apple butter. But that's not enough to make me come back.

Came here on high praise from several friends from NE China who grew up with BBQ like this and said…read moreit also takes inspiration from North Korean style. It also seems this is one of the few places in socal with a license to cook with charcoal indoors, which is a bit of a bummer. Place was not too busy when we went but the center it's in is a bit small and can be tough to park. The service is pretty typical for a Chinese place. I found them more attentive than average honestly and they were always available when we flagged them down which I can't say for a lot of places, so service was overall good in my opinion. Place is AYCE, two person minimum, 2 hour time limit but are generous. You can get water or hot/cold wheat tea which was good, similar to barley tea. They can change out your grill at any time and add charcoal if the fire starts to die down, which you'll want since you want to be cooking meat quick over a high heat to make the most of your time here and get the best cook on your meat. To me the standouts were the beef tongue, boneless beef shortrib, and this cold cut you don't cook that I forget the name of. The beef tongue particularly really had everything going for it. Great balance of flavor between fat and muscle, a little chew but not too much like some bad tongue has. Super thin so fast to cook and easy to eat. Everything else was good but nothing KBBQ doesn't have a better version of (looking at you marinated beef). The charcoal flavor is gonna be a unique element so take that as you will. I'm told in China every place like this has its own 'signature sauce' and I guess the one here is the sesame sauce that is quite sweet, creamy, and perfectly thin for dipping. I followed the pro here and added green onions, cilantro, vinegar, and soy sauce to taste and it helped balance out the flavors for me but I still found myself preferring to eat the meat on its own most of the time which was a bummer as dipping between sauces is a nice way to change things up as you eat the same cuts of meat for 2 hours. The shortrib is incredibly juicy and delicious. I found the steak cuts my least favorite as they were a bit tough and lacking flavor. If you pay in cash you'll get a 16oz cup of their INCREDIBLE yogurt so I highly recommend, but you also get small cups of this at the end of your meal. It has a high fresh acidity like freshly squeezed lime juice balanced with sweetness that really makes this yogurt bangarang and super addicting. So much so I bought two things to go and wish I got more! Owner was a total sweetheart too. Def a great place to hit especially for the charcoal element and world-class yogurt but otherwise my favorite KBBQ spots are still gonna be my go-to for everything else.

Not sure how a restaurant stays in business with that kind of restriction. Not sure if I will come back to try with family.

A decent spot that my partner and I like whenever we're feeling some skewers vibes. I find myself to be a huge fan of their cucumber salad. Yes, even for a skewer place, they can be very delicious as a compliment to the savory skewers. It's nice to have that sweeter taste to offset the saltiness of all the other items. Interior is nice but can be quite hectic. Tons of tables that fit all sizes of groups, staff is quick but sometimes they do feel like they're understaffed. Service is not really a thing here, most like a food shop stand but interior. They clean tables, assign seating, bring you your food and that's basically it. Paying can be confusing but most of the time you can pay on your phone but it's recommended to pay where the register is, quick and easy. There's so many food options that you might find yourself scrolling for awhile. One feature I like is that their ordering system is easy. Scan a QR code and you can just order on your phone. Staff is moderately quick so that's a plus. If you're with a group, I recommend ordering on a designated phone to prevent any confusion or extra charges, etc. Skewers wise, my favorite goes to the beef, lamb, and the squid sticks. All are seasoned well but can be a bit salty. Most of the food here is spicy unless you ask for it so prepare for that. There's also a side/condiments bar that's filled with snacks that you can munch on while you're waiting for your food free of charge, however it's pretty filling. Overall, a decent spot that's great for a late night snack. Not the best but not the worse either when it comes to service. Food is great and even better for people who can handle spice well. Will definitely be back in the future.
