We came here for lunch on a Sunday. This place was quite busy but we were seated right away. We had the following dishes: (1) chicken nuggets with dipping sauce: 3/5 stars. It was good but not spectacular. You have a choice of dipping sauces. (2) Pulled pork sandwich: 4/5 stars. It was quite tasty. Pork was not dry and sauce was flavorful. It is served with choice of one side. (3) Gumbo: 5/5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this dish. It has a lot of ingredients. Two sides I selected were macaroni cheese and coleslaw. Ribs were great with portion of four ribs on intact slab. Cooked well with perfect near fall off the bone meat. Bbq sauce glaze was on point. Next was the tri tip which was decent but way more moist than the brisket. Tritip was sliced thin and decent portion served with what appeared to be Au juice. Brisket was a disappointment because it seemed dry with charred and chewy outer portions. Cuts of brisket were nice and thick though I wish it was better. Hard to beat Texas style brisket especially as it labeled on their menu as such with a premium (slightly higher price). Macaroni and cheese was good as well as the coleslaw. Coleslaw was dressed well and not overly mayo which I enjoyed. I'm glad I was hungry and went with the extra meat added. Price point were a little steep as compared to quality. I have to say I really enjoyed stopping in here first time at this location. I got the cracked out deviled eggs, five dollars off of the happy hour menu as well as the bird ends. Both were really good. Definitely a bargain.. I went with a half rack of baby back ribs did my two side sides was the mac & cheese and the cornbread, and I added the jalapeño cheddar sausage. I've been to Lucille's a few times for special occasions, but my most recent visit was by far the best dining experience I've had there. I was celebrating an anniversary, and everything exceeded my expectations from the quality of the food to the outstanding service. Our waitress, Aracely, truly made the night unforgettable. She was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and her attentiveness never missed a beat. She was polite, enthusiastic, and incredibly professional; the best service I've ever received. She checked in often, kept our drinks and biscuits coming, and made excellent recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We opted to try the 2 for ~$50 feast, comes with appetizer, three meats and dessert. For an additional $10, we added two sides to the line up. They bring a basket of fresh bread and sweet butter while you wait, we opted for the two side salads as our appetizer and they were insanely fresh. The meats were phenomenal, ribs and pulled chicken were our favorites. The sides, garlic mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, were mediocre in taste and warm at best while the dessert, fruit cobbler, was entirely too sweet with caramel drizzle and ice cream topping it for our taste. We tried the churro beignets that came with chocolate dipping sauce; the chocolate sauce was bitterly sweet. But, these on their own are incredibly airy and sweet, loved the cinnamon sugar coating on them. The service was mediocre at best and, while it could just be on my server, it seemed more like the servers were all stretched extremely thin across large sections. While our server was kind, he did seem backed up and made minor errors. First thing to know about this place is that it is very expensive. I placed my order online for a BBQ Feast for Two for $59.99. It's an easy process although menu can be overwhelming. For first course, I chose the Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes, which came in four and was very tasty. Then, I got to choose three BBQ meats, two sides (mash potatoes and coleslaw), one dessert, and complimentary biscuits. Food was overall ok (the sauce did make the meat taste better). I also ordered a Margarita, which took about fifteen minutes for me to get it. This place to me is still my #1 Favorite place to grab a bite to eat even for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food here is always delicious and it just falls off the bone which is a plus for me! I love it a lot when it's like that. The service was fast and efficient and never disappoints whatsoever. Our server 'Brenda' was so nice and sweet as well as to her customers she's serving. It's always great to see happy and energetic employees here. I'm happy that she was our server because it made our experience shine bright like a diamond. Seems like they've slimmed down their menu since last time we came but there is still a lot of options to choose from. However this second time we went, it seems like everyone was disappointed in one way or another. Those of us who ordered the Thanksgiving dinner found it to be pretty dry. And it had zero vegetable components unless you count the creamed corn thing. One of our party who ordered the St. Louis ribs thought it was really small and my husband ordered the baby back ribs and found them kinda rushed. I know it's Thanksgiving day so they were probably overwhelmed but at $35 a plate (without tax) you still kinda hope for something better. A lot of us had to take it home so we can put more gravy or something when we reheat it. I went during lunch time. It wasn't that busy but they had the bartender at the bar and taking orders. She seemed a bit overwhelmed. The biscuits they served are nasty. The only way I enjoyed the biscuits was to eat the bottom part the top had cinnamon with cinnamon butter nope not good at all. I didn't like that. I ordered Gumbo was very flavorful. Bella was so awesome. The other waitress (Brenda)not very friendly nor accommodating like Bella. The drink wasn't good at all the Strawberry Symphony (nasty) has a slight lingering after taste. I substituted with my ole faithful Ginger-ale love it! The ambiance was nice booths were big and comfortable. Would I return absolutely not. Brenda the waitress charged 5.49 for a Ginger Ale. Can't ever go wrong with Lucille's BBQs the food hit great tonight. But sagar made the night a great night was the service we received from our waiter Austin! After he took our order I requested a basket of their famous biscuits. Only find out that they weren't making anymore tonight.
