We dropped by on a Friday evening around 7pm and they quoted us 50-70 min wait for a table of two. There were about 26 parties ahead of us @ that time. We decided to wait and just walk around Target for about an hour. The wait took about exactly an hour. I still think it was worth it. First off, we were able to do a little snack shopping @ Target. Next off, the food did not disappoint. We ended up ordering 2lb of shrimp with the whole shabang sauce (med spicy), fried oysters and Cajun fries for two of us. It was more than enough food. There was enough shrimp to stretch one more additional meal for one person. Also, the leftover sauce we were able to salvage that for another home made dish. So, perhaps we can call this about 3.25 meals? The service was good as well. They checked on us from time to time. :) The total came out to be about $33.50 per person. If we pretend we stretched to 3.25 meals then we could say it was about $21 a person which isn't too bad. I recommend if you ever need to shop @ target anyway, then drop by and put your name down. I am from the South, so my opinion on this spot might be skewed and bias from that. The seafood boil wasn't good. I hate that they don't have a head off option for the shrimp. The flavoring wasn't there for me. I got Cajun, medium 1/2lb of shrimp. The gumbo didn't have much seafood in it. It definitely tasted like okra soup. I gave three stars because the fries were good. The catfish was ight. Just bland. I asked for my catfish fried hard and my fries came out fried hard instead. The waiters were great though. They were attentive. Asked and answered questions. I stopped by again with a few buddies since they wanted to try the OG seafood boil spot in SJ. I wasn't in the mood for seafood boil, so I just ordered the sha bang bang shrimp, which was way too spicy for me to taste any of the seasonings. Despite the heat, I could still feel the heaviness of the sauce and definitely needed several lemon wedges to balance everything out. For the price ($12.99), the quality of the shrimp was good but they don't give enough rice for all that sauce. If anything, I would return just for their fries. I love going to boiling crab!! I don't have one in the area I live and I'm skeptical about trying similar seafood boil restaurants. Depending on the time you get there, the wait time could be up to an hour. I recommend getting there around 4pm, you'll be seated or eating by 5pm. In my opinion, it's worth the wait. The employees are kind and friendly. Whoever is on the aux has great taste in music. I go to Boiling crab at least once every 2-3 months. read more

As always, the boiling crab gets an A+ for flavor of food. There's so much flavor going on in the shabang sauce that it leaves us always wanting more and keeps us coming back. As for ambiance, I have to give them a D grade. Although the inside pretty much was standard for most boiling crabs, it has that worn look as if it's been shipwrecked, which adds to the ambiance of the actual place. But it's not the inside that I'm grading, it's the location. It's kind of in a gross area. When you're walking up to the restaurant, there are large smelly garbage cans on your way that just kind of turns you off a little bit for your appetite. Nevertheless, the service was good and the food was amazing. As I mentioned, we ordered the whole shabang and ordered corn, Dungeness, crab, shrimp, and sausages. Absolutely tasty. Really good with a side of just plain white rice. There's so much flavor in the sauce that you definitely need something to absorb it. I just checked out this new location dining Inn. Of course just like any other boiling crab the wait time is pretty long my friends and I checked in and the wait was an hour. We got seated and I believe our server's name was Sophie and overall the customer service was pretty great food came in quick! The shrimp was cooked to perfectly too! Our Server made sure that we were doing good despite it being so busy she would grab her drinks for us and wrap everything for us separately for to go. I also ordered four to go the other day and not stingy whatsoever I got a full bag of lemon and pepper for my order of a 3 pound shrimp bag! Came here with my family around 3ish and was seated by 3:30pm! The wait was not as bad as last time when we went to their other location off Curtner. Not that it bothered us since we were walking around the plaza and window shopping, but we were pleasantly surprised how FAST our party was called after I joined the waitlist. Service was pleasant as usual. Our server, Kylie, was welcoming, attentive, and swift! We ordered the usual, which consisted of 1 pound shrimp, 1 pound mussels, 2 corns, 3 pieces of potatoes, 6 pieces of lemon pepper chicken wings, and can't forget the rice . Everything was delicious and perfectly spiced! Despite how busy they were, service was nothing short of amazing and we were done within 30-45 mins. Came in yesterday at 9pm and on the app it said I would be sat by 9:18 I waited like everyone else and when I was first on line a girl came in and talked to one of the servers that told the host to seat her right away in her section and to skip everyone else which made my wait time go from 9:18-9:50 a whole extra 30 to then have the host tell me I was no longer guaranteed a spot even though it showed I was first in line since 9:15. Not only did the girl get seated right away he whole party wasn't even there with her and didn't arrive for another 15 mins after she was seated. Her and her party also brought 2 Pomeranian puppy's who were clearly not service animals the way her and her friend were trying to hide them in their bags. I brought it up to the host and he said there was nothing he could do about it. After leaving me and my brother got an allergic reaction to the dogs and the day after it got worse to the point where we had to go to urgent care for medication. I think it was unacceptable that they enforce the rules of putting your name on the list and having your whole party there to be seated for others but not to certain people and having guest who were first on the list wait a extra 30 min because the servers friends come in and it was unacceptable to not tell customers that only real service animals are welcome not emotional support animals at a food establishment! Management has to understand some people can be allergic to pets and it can affect other customers for trying to satisfy their friends. read more

Came around 7:15 pm on a Thursday and waited around 15-20 minutes to get seated. Decorations inside is nice -- a shark hanging from the ceiling and boat ropes tied around the columns. Servers were very attentive and checked up on us to make sure orders were placed, we had enough water, etc. My friend and I were excited to dig in. Make sure to wear a bib and gloves before eating. Calamari was super crispy with a nice chew from the squid. Dipping the seafood in the lemon salt and pepper and The Whole Shebang medium spice sauce -- chef's kiss. Gloves covered in sauce, face sweating -- we did not care how we looked devouring the meal, the food was so good. Market price changes depending on season. By far, my favorite seafood cajun spot! My go-tos are the whole shebang medium shrimp (it's spicy!), crabber fries, calamari rings, and lemon pepper wings. I make a trip here at least twice a month, about a 45min drive from home just to enjoy some Cajun seafood! Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty! We ordered the $100 Medium Spicy Shrimp and King Crab Leg Hot Boil Bag. Oh my GOD! TONS of shrimp. Maybe 6 King Crab Leg but the shrimp heaven. We had to stop 1/2 way through it was so spicy. We always order to go orders of numerous pounds of shrimp (The Whole Shabang). I call it in and we go and pick it up. For pick up orders, there's a separate door to enter where you'll be able to be helped easily by staff. We've never had any issues with our orders being correct and have always had a great experience with the shrimp we purchase on occasions. I love boiling crab but somehow my order has some raw shrimp that were still not cooked through. I suck some of the shrimp heads and they tasty like it was still fishy raw. I also order Catfish basket which was good but than I threw everything up because of the raw shrimp. This was a take out order.
