Stopped in for dinner this past Saturday night with my brother and boyfriend after hearing awesome reviews of this place. We didn't have a reservation since it was so last minute but we got in in 15 minutes so I was thrilled! Love the ambiance here and they have quite a bit of seating and it is attached to a fresh meat store which is pretty cool. Once we were seated we got the crab dip and a few drinks. The crab dip wasn't what I was expecting- extremely rich and a little bit heavier on the crab then I would have liked and super salty. This app is really good for like 4+ people because you can only eat so much since it is so rich. For my entree I got the full portion of the cajun chicken pasta, my boyfriend got the 10oz sirloin upon recommendation of the waiter and got that with the special broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. My brother got a grilled chicken wrap. The cajun chicken pasta was delicious, a good portion size for the large. My boyfriends steak was pretty good, but wasn't anything to write home about. The broccoli never came out so we had to ask about that and the mashed potatoes were decent. My brother also like the chicken wrap. The food was all pretty decent but it didn't seem like anything really stood out here. Maybe we didn't try the right dishes but I wasn't super impressed despite all of the good things I've heard. Since the broccoli side didn't come out I asked them if they could comp the side which I felt like I probably shouldn't have had to ask, but they gladly agreed. Last year I had one of the worst dining experiences here and avoided returning for a long time. Staff was just downright rude that night....this coming from a Yelper who normally gives 4 or 5 reviews. I try to be as impartial as possible.... and we eat out a lot. Returning for lunch today, food, service and staff was great. I really like the smoked chicken wings. Happy I gave them another try. That's a lesson... that anyplace can have an off night. Dined there this evening with friends. The noise levels was over 100 db! Insanely loud customers that were left to their absolutely obnoxious yelling and screaming. Waitstaff had to scream while taking orders. Not one word from management about the rude customers. We will never trade them again. Ridiculous is far too mild! read more

I got the ahi tuma, which came out an odd temp. It was warm. Idk if it was supposed to be hot or cold, but it was neither. I was afraid to eat it, as I have had bed experience with tuna before. Came here with some girlfriends last night and our food was so yummy! I had a cup of the chicken tortilla soup and a side Caesar salad. The soup was so warm and a little spicy (I love spice) and the salad seemed bigger than a side! I was very pleased. I went here for lunch with a few coworkers and it is a very solid spot. We started off with the smoked chicken wings. I could just eat these wings all by themselves for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ordered the fish and chips for my entree. It was decent, a little heavy on the batter but it was seasoned well. Service was good, attentive and fast without being overbearing. The food at The Brass Rail is consistently excellent! I visited on Sunday afternoon. Our party of 3 was immediately seated and greeted. The server was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was great. We had the chicken Alfredo pasta and ordered chicken strips for the little in our party. The pasta was so rich in flavor! The chicken strips were basically 2 breaded breast flirts that were much bigger than a standard chicken strip. We had an excellent lunch and experience. Found this gem when another couple invited us out for dinner. We arrived around 4:45pm on a Tuesday. The place was crowded, but there was a booth available. Tuesday is "All Day Happy Hour", so perhaps folks were getting an early start. The Happy Hour had $5/glass house wines, but our server told us that a bottle was available for $10. It was a Sycamore Chardonnay and for $10 was a steal! Service was excellent and attentive. The menu had a lot of interesting options on it, I went with the Jambalaya and asked for it with no rice but a side of garlic mashed potatoes. It was really good, the shrimp were big and flavorful and the chicken was in thin slices which meant that every bite was well coated in the delicious sauce. My wife enjoyed a steak with a skewer of shrimp. The entrees we had were more expensive that what we typically get at Happy Hour, however, the $10 bottle of wine offset that and in the end we paid what we usually do when we get Happy Hour and several appetizers. We decided to go here for a special occasion. Knew it was a little pricey. We got surf and turf which was a sirloin steak and crab cake. To me the steak was not that good but liked The crab cake. The garlic mashed potatoes were not what I expected. They were lumpy. Salad was good. Thought kind of weird no bread was offered. Wait person was fantastic. No complaints with her. I have been here twice and always liked the ambience, food and service. I love their selection of pasta and paninis. I have had vegetarian pasta and cheese balls one time and next time I went there I had their chicken tenders with fries and my husband had roasted chicken burger with fries. The quantity is huge so trust me if you don't have big appetite then order one entree instead of 2 for 2 people. But since the food was so delicious we took the left overs to home and had it for lunch the next day ( obviously had to reheat and did not taste that good like it was but it was not bad at all). He got the 10oz sirloin. He asked for medium and it probably was before they let it rest but it was a little more than medium once we got it. He said it was just okay. I got the TBR Toss which is a low carb lovers DREAM! It's wilted spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, onions, and red pepper plus your choice of protein, all tossed together.
