Kids menu mac n cheese
John H.

The food was good and flavorful. I had the Steak loaf and it was really good. I also had a maple old fashioned which was great. My kids both had the mac and cheese. One thought it was great and the other thought it tasted a little different. As a plus, it wasn't just Kraft like some places do for kids. My wife had the summer salad. She asked for extra grilled chicken and no cheese. They hit a homerun with the extra chicken. It was piled high. But the salad was covered with feta. Good thing my wife has no allergies or it could have been serious. We had to flag down a different server to get a replacement salad. The replacement took a while and most of us were done eating. This was a little more disappointing since my wife is gluten insensitive and struggled to find anything other than salad on the menu. Google falsely said they provided gf buns and wraps. But our server was quick to say they had nothing like that. If you're gluten-free, it looks like the ribs and smoked salmon are the only marked gf items. Our server was fine but nothing to draw us back. We tried the Brass Rail as a new place but likely won't be back due to the lack of gf options. Where we were sat was fairly loud and made it hard to hear across the table. But it was clean and plenty of room. They also had a nice looking patio.

Good-service, salad, drinks, app Bad-all entrees but especially the prime rib Went for special birthday meal/prime rib. Pretzel bite app was way good. Salad was simple but perfectly made. Prime rib...sigh...nothing good to say. Tasted about like it looked. Bland, boring and no beef flavor. Boo. I want to love this place but the meat just has missed the mark every time. Sadness.

I've never been here before, but my friend brought me here for my birthday dinner It was very enjoyable. It was very busy. It's not real clear on how to enter. I actually entered from the side door and had to walk to the front of the restaurant so that the host would seat me. I was seated in the screened in patio room. It was very loud. Our server was very pleasant. The service was quick. I ordered the salmon which was flavorful. I also got a side salad, which was good. The guac was something that just tasted like it came out of the packaging and not fresh at all. Do not recommend.

Hand-House Made Steakloaf

Was a wait on Saturday night so call ahead for seating for sure. They ran out of menus lol mushrooms were to die for. Chicken wings a bit salty n sauce we choose like the Asian n hot had a for sure kick but I would try different flavor next time. Now the house-made steqk loaf is big enough for two for sure! The aged ribeye 12 oz was great just a bit fatty n lame presentation. Mashed potatoes on point along with French dip.

Was unfortunately a little underwhelmed with our experience at Brass Rail! Service and food were just average. We ordered the crab cake appetizer and it was good for Midwest seafood but nothing to make a special trip for. I had the Monday night prime sirloin special and it was just kind of cold in my opinion. Dinner sides were pretty small too- I had a side of mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. My friend had a chicken sandwich and he really liked his. He said he felt like his was priced well for the quality. I might give it another try but order another entree instead.

Tuesday $12.50 wing special. Hot, and Asian zing sauces, and homemade blue cheese. Fries hidden underneath.

GET OUT! Do you like wings? Want to try a little different style? Well, The Brass Rail is here to answer that. I was told that they use a ridiculous amount of different spices to marinate the wings. They then slow smoke them, and then they are grilled to order. I love crispy buffalo wings, but these may take 1st place. If you go on Tuesday's, they have a wing special. 10 wings, on a bed of fries, with 2 sauces, and 1 dressing of your choice. Dressing choices are homemade blue cheese, and ranch. Sauce choices are hot(their buffalo), hot bbq, teriyaki, Old Bay, Thai, and Asian Zing(personal favorite!). $12.50 The staff is great. Happy hour alk day Monday, but on Tuesday's it's over @ 5(so get there early). Do yourself a favor when they hit the table. Stack the wings to the side, and the fries will stay crispy.

Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta

Food was average. Shredded chicken in pasta would've been better with grilled chicken. Waitress was super friendly. Service was good- they were very busy Fun and lively atmosphere

Ask the Community - The Brass Rail

Do we need to make a reservation for party's over 10?

DUH. Do you know any restaurant that doesn't require reservations for a party of 10. No it doesn't. But you may need to wait a while.

Can you accommodate a person with Celiac disease?

We certainly can. We have quite a few options available

We recently visited the St. Louis area where I have a couple of students that live…read more They both recommended Annie Gunn's as the can't miss place in the metro. I see why. Our server Abby was amazing!!! She was so kind and helpful. Very patient with us. We were slow to choose what we wanted. Everything sounded so good. We settled on the clam chowder for an appetizer which we both just adored and the house ground meatloaf for our entrée which we shared. We each got a huge piece of meatloaf and some mashed potatoes and summer squash. There was a small plate splitting fee, which was absolutely appropriate. My wife and I agreed it's probably the best meatloaf we've ever had. Delicious!!! Abby was kind enough to gift us a piece of apple pie with the first taste of cinnamon ice cream either of us have ever had. It was made by a local creamery and was divine. We are still talking about that ice cream. The interior seems rustic, like an old Irish or English pub. So very cool. What a lovely experience and a total gem for anyone who lives in the area. We went next-door to the little store and bought a few things as well. We cannot wait to return to Annie Gunn's!

It was only 5:15 and fully packed as usual. When we asked for a table the next available was 9:30 and they put us in a waiting list. Guess what??? A cancellation came and we got a table at 5:30. If you've ever been there you know this place is always busy and always amazing! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Two bars! And several years ago the patio was enclosed as part of the restaurant and has a wall windows. Also, there are now rooms for big parties AND a room to have private parties and it is beautiful!!! So our waiter gave us a sample of a very good wine! Excellent. I ordered the french dip, which I've had several times. Tonight it was exceptionally delicious! Soft, yet crunch bread, cheese and amazingly tender beef, served with au jus and horse radish. Outstanding tonight! And fries also. But that french dip was THEE best ever. Gotta try it! I can't say enough!
