Can you feel it surround me? I think it'll drown me Build Your Own Sausage Breakfast Burrito from #TheBreakfastFactory
    Mojo S.

The meal didn't start off on the right foot with The Breakfast Factory not being open at the posted hours. I had to read a bit more in the book I had brought and check back in before they said they were ready to take orders. The other not-so-nice bit was the hefty extra percentage for using a credit card. It was far above what I've seen at other food joints. I mean--at this point everybody uses a credit card for tap to pay. Having to pay extra for what is an everyday occurrence seems punitive. I will say that once I got to my burrito I was pleasantly satisfied. It had some good heft to it and tasted super delicious. I opted for the sausage variety with some green peppers, onions, and spinach added with the already customary eggs and tots. Every bite was a delight, especially with that green salsa. The service was good. I felt like everyone at the counter was efficient and had my order to me in a relatively reasonable amount of time. They also refilled my soda pretty quickly. As for the ambiance, it's a food court in a mall so I didn't expect much. It was neither spectacular or bad. It just was a typical food court dining area. So, yeah, I might get this burrito again but probably not when they first open because of the delay in their process and I'll maybe remember to bring cash next time. The burrito is good and all. There are just a lot of hurdles to get to it.

The cheeseburgers here are great! Prepare for a bit of a wait as they're made fresh. Super flavorful, smashed, quality beef, melty cheese, lettuce and sauce all mix together to form a perfect bite. The fries are bomb too, the tater tots were mid. It's in the brea mall food court, so be prepared for a mall ambiance.

Michelle took our order, we were hungry before going Christmas shopping never been to this place before. After we ordered Bagel and cream cheese for baby girl and I ordered the Loaded tater tots the line got long and busy. Our order took a while but Michelle was so sweet and helpful in choosing what to order. When I got it I was shocked how much they gave me it was filling, little spicy, had a lot of flavors. The bacon and onions were deliciously cooked and the egg was perfectly runny. I definitely recommend this mall breakfast place absolutely delicious and super friendly service. Thank you for our delicious breakfast and quick and friendly service. Definitely will be back here again. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Save your money or go to Five Guys, this burger shouldn't be close to 15 dollars.

Initially, this place looked really good to me. The thought about having smash burgers and breakfast burritos, you can't beat that. However, I was disappointed with how an bacon avocado burger by itself costs nearly 15 dollars, and they don't even give you a double patty. It is quite disappointing and a complete rip off. The taste of the burger wasn't any better than what you can get at Five Guys. It's probably the first and last time I order a burger from here. The burger wasn't really anything special. It was just nice how thr avacados were placed inside it. Service was ok, but they don't even serve water cups. I was wondering why the place was empty compared to other places; but it seems clear why.

We eat out every day for lunch and have been craving a good mom & pop style burger with shredded lettuce and dressing. Last week we went to a place that was supposed to be the best in Brea. It was busy, the burger was big, but the patty lacked flavor and it was extremely dry (we had to use ketchup with every bite). This week, my business partner mentioned he had great smash burgers at the mall. Generally mall food is expensive and lackluster, but The Breakfast Factory was everything you would want. The price was extremely reasonable for the mall and they have Coke products. The fries were 10/10 if you like crispy and well seasoned and a huge portion. The burger was perfect and juicy with the perfect amount of spread, shredded lettuce, pickles and onions, and the patty was flavorful and not extremely thin. With all the burger options out there, this was a very good burger. Will be back again next time I want a good burger.

Meat & Veggie Combo Breakfast Burrito

Burrito was really good and stuffed. Ordered this veggie with meats burrito and a Machaca burrito. Both had really great flavor and not oily. I do have to say that I agree with one of the reviews here, the salsa's are really not that great, the red salsa tasted too much like tomato and the green salsa has a nice spice to it but no flavor. This place is a good option if you are looking for a breakfast burrito

After doing some holiday shopping at the mall, we stopped by the food court and discovered The Breakfast Factory which I didn't recognize from before. The all day breakfast burrito's called out to me! Cheeseburger ($6.99): Smashed patty accompanied with cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, chopped grilled onions, and sauce. I would have preferred whole lettuce as the shredded got a little messy but the overall flavors of the burger was quite good - tasted similar to In-N-Out. Best eaten right away as we did takeout and parts of the bun were soggy. Sausage Breakfast Burrito ($10.99): Decently sized burrito filled with sliced sausages, tater tots, cheese, and eggs rolled up in a tortilla. Was definitely glad the tater tots didn't overpower the burrito as there was a good amount of eggs included. Comes with red or green salsa - both had a nice kick. Good bang for your buck, especially for the food court.

The Breakfast Factory, a recent addition to Brea Mall, intrigued me with its menu featuring smash burgers. I ordered the cheeseburger combo and made a request to remove the tomatoes. They were still included, and I ended up having to remove them on my own. the fries were okay and seemed right from the freezer. Nevertheless, the burger itself proved to be good, complemented by a flavorful sauce. At $14, the combo's price feels excessive, prompting me to consider ordering just the burger next time or opting to the other food court options. Given that it's a food court, the level of activity can vary depending on the day of the week. However, there are usually plenty of seating spots available to accommodate diners.

Located inside a mall, is was super easy to find and what they serve is amazing. The loaded tots was literally my favorite breakfast food just mixed up. Since the loaded tots were enough to get me full I didn't get to try their other options such as the smash burger and breakfast burritos. I came out here to pick things up for work so not out here often but if I come back again for work, definitely will be back to try other delicious foods! Staff were really chill and seemed happy to serve.

Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.
