Came in for a couple drinks the atmosphere is very plain and it's basically a large open bar with no decor or vibe. The drinks were good the only downside was that the vent above us was dropping and falling on me . The bar tender was friendly and helpful.

Eddie our bartender was absolutely the best we've ever had at a bar! He was so thoughtful and attentive to me and my girl friends. I used to come to the Brig years ago and after 4 years, I returned with close friends. He exceeded our expectations of hospitality and we will be coming back again! Thank you, Eddie for such a wonderful evening.

Came here on a Sunday after brunch to enjoy some cocktails and play some pool. Bartender was super nice and made really strong drinks. I actually indulged in a hotdog which I never do and it was delicious. And yes, I ate a hotdog after brunch. Played some pool just had a grand old time.

    Great outdoor patio space!

I honestly can't say enough great things about The Brig in Venice! For several months now, my run club, Run Happy Los Angeles, has been gathering here every Tuesday at 6pm, and it's become the highlight of my week. The atmosphere is perfect for post-run fun, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. We love hanging out, enjoying drinks, and sharing some snacks together. The recent addition of hot dogs has been a neat treat. As someone who doesn't drink much, I've been really impressed with their mocktails - they're delicious and always hit the spot! If you're looking for a welcoming spot with a great vibe and amazing people, The Brig is the place to be. Highly recommend! There is live music on Tuesdays as well as other nights and there are always people around the pool table, too. Thank you, The Brig, for being our home!!!

This place is ok for a spot to grab beers in Venice. I've only come here with a large group of people and only during the weekdays at night. The bonus here is the large outdoor seating area with picnic tables. They do not serve food here. The beer selection is good but not great and the same with the customer service. Each time I've gone there's been some live music and people enjoying a game at the pool table.

The locals brought me here and it did not disappoint. The inside was a fun experience with loud music and a modern atmosphere. The bar had lots of places to stand and a pool table. However, we sat outside because there were lots of picnic tables and heat lamps to keep you warm! Not to mention the many food trucks around (even though we ordered pizza)! It's a great place to go and dance or hangout with friends and catch up! I got several margaritas and each one was better than the last! Highly recommend for a night out in Venice area!

Let's keep yelp Real!!! I've been here during the day and in the evening, its a good time once you get your drinks. Real rating would be 4.2/5 because I would come back with more people. Kind of a 70'sish vibe which I dig. Its a spacious bar with options to sit inside and outside, standing or sitting which I appreciate because it gets crowded. You should expect to spend some money here because its in Venice on Abbot Kinney...wish it wasn't that way, but hey. My gripe about the Brig is the service; its either slow or a little unfriendly. That being said I have not had a bad cocktail here and they have a great selection of spirits or beer.

    Jimmy A.

Three stars seems a travesty! Great bar at the end of Abbot Kinney and a welcome respite from shopping /cavorting. Great selection of tropical themed drinks, expertly prepared. The interior is mid century modern meets modern dive bar...very clean. The staff is very LA cool...friendly enough but very adept at their trade. Drinks are really fantastic. We had the bourbon punch which was great as were the martinis. Decent wine list and selection of beers...many in a can. Pool table was popping and the outdoor area was very hospitable. Loved the music and sports on the televisions. Great bourbon selection .

Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. Other than those spaces, there's a lot across the street if you want to risk it or also side streets parking too.

The bartender, Justin took our drink and dinner order and I have to say, he makes amazing cocktails! We had egg rolls for an appetizer, which arrived very quickly and went well with our cocktails. I ordered a rye old-fashioned and my wife ordered a house creation, "Jesuit's Tea Party," which she enjoyed. For our entrees, I ordered Hainan Chicken and my wife had the Walnut Shrimp. Mine was really good, but I have to say I like the Walnut Shrimp better. They have their breading skills dialed in, so next time I think I'd go with something fried. All in all a great experience. It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. The portions were tiny -- not "small plates" tiny, but more like one-to-two bites each while still being priced aggressively. By the end, I felt more impressed than full.
