The grits were creamy and comforting, the Benny hit all the right notes, and the buffalo chicken wrap had great flavor without being over the top. We parked our van right next to the outdoor seating so Fir could hang out with us, and it felt immediately relaxed and welcoming. We got chatting with the nephew and his uncle who run the place and it turned into one of those easy, genuine conversations you don't plan on having. Both of them are clearly outdoorsy, adventurous people and that energy carries right into the atmosphere of the restaurant. My other friend had the same thing, and enjoyed it tremendously. I had the small Cobb salad. It was very good and just the right size. Our server was friendly and attentive. She checked on us often, filling one friend's hot water tin for her hot tea. She also refreshed our waters. The prices are reasonable, and the three of us paid about $30 total, plus a generous tip.
