First time visiting to The Buffet at Mount Airy and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Being we where there on Wednesday, you got a 30% off discount (you need to sign up for the casino courtesy card at the front desk) which was fun! All the buffet selections from soup, to many entree and carving station, were fresh and tasty. Great selection of deserts including soft serve ice cream. Very filling.

Out of all of the choices at My Airy for meals, this is the one to avoid. Quality of food has continuously gone downhill and is more a food trough. Service is somewhat attentive and the area is kept clean. If it was more like it was when it opened, I would be giving it a few more stars. Has potential, but with the current selections and presentations it's subpar at and too pricey for what you get.

Had low expectations because of the negative reviews on here but this buffet was surprisingly very good. Some of the highlights include: prime rib au jus, pork filet with apricot sauce (very tender!), stone fired pizza, taco bar, dessert bar, salad bar, seafood (cocktail shrimp, cod, salmon filets), lots of thanksgiving themed food and many others. Everything was tasty and fresh. Price was reasonable for what you get. It was around $23 per person including unlimited fountain drinks/tea/coffee which is unheard of for buffets. They also offer a 30% discount for seniors on Wednesdays. The dessert bar was impressive with a variety of cakes, pies, cheesecakes, cream puffs, fruit tarts, tiramisu and a soft serve ice cream machine. There were plenty of toppings for the desserts and we saw a bunch of people putting soft serve ice cream on top of their cakes lol. The boston cream pie seemed to be very popular here but we didnt get to try it because we were too stuffed at this point. The service was attentive. The staff checked up on us if we had plates to clear and how we liked the food. The food at the buffet tables were always refilled quickly by the staff and they kept the bars clean. They even fixed the ice tea machine and soda machine very quickly when it ran out. Overall, a good experience and would go again if in the area. I'm convinced many of the negative reviews are probably from people who lost their money in the casino because this was definitely one of the better buffets I've had.

Just off the casino floor is the casino signature buffet. Wednesday's senior day 30% off a price of $23.99. 10% off if you have one of those casino cards. Our server Eric was EXCEPTIONAL I can't say enough about the service he gave us. Always had a smile and Never let our empty plates pile up. The food was excellent, today they had a Maryland/South Carolina favorite She-crab soup this soup had chunks of crab in it I thought the chunks were potatoes but it was crab and it was FANTASTIC. There is a variety of foods to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. R&B,and Pop are piped in as you enjoy the excellent cuisines. Also very clean environment food is in the warmers not counters, that because this casino does not allow children in ,NOT EVEN IF YOU're just going to the several restaurants. In other words Kid's Free Zone. I was disappointed once when my 15year old grandson couldn't eat here. So this is the casino rule. So if you're looking for a great food try Mount Airy buffet.

The line to this place is horrendous, and they feed gold and platinum card members first. Make you feel like second class steerage.

For a General Tso's you expect a little "something". This was sesame chicken minus the seeds. Just thickened sugar water on chicken. The "fried rice" was yellow rice with pork added. I'm not sure why places in the Poconos do this, but there are only a handful of places that make real fried rice. This isn't one of them. The chicken nicely fried, the egg roll not so much. Overcooked and greasy. The cost was $10 and change. It said you get a discount for using cash so I did. No discount. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else. Winner - sucked.

I ordered sesame chicken, bbq pork and steamed rice. The only thing edible was the steamed rice. The sesame chicken was inedible; terrible texture, flavor and the oil it was fried in tasted bad to me, I stopped after one bite. The bbq pork was not great, overly sweet and chewy, I ate a little bit of that with the steamed rice. I had stomach issues that evening and the next day from the food as well. Will never return and advise all to stay away.

Great food and chill vibe - atmosphere!…read more I read the reviews so I was skeptical. The food was excellent and the service was great. Yes, the prices are high but I wasn't disappointed. The live music on Sunday was also really good. We ordered the Godfather roll, filet, ribeye, broccoli and cheese, and wedge salad. All very good and the cocktails were also top notch. 8/10 experience and I recommend (keep in mind we're used to DC prices). I say this in the fact that the prices are pretty steep, but worth it I just made a mistake. We're a little bit more seasoned for my taste buds. Otherwise, great steak house and experiences. Honorable mention for the volcano sushi,....ir was on point as ssooo good!!

I'd absolutely include it because it reinforces the theme: the product was excellent; the hospitality and pacing killed the experience. The food was honestly the best part of the night -- a solid 4.5/5. Unfortunately, the overall experience was nowhere near what we expected from a restaurant at this price point. We started with the calamari, which was excellent. The giardiniera with it was an unexpected flavor combination that I loved. They also brought out an enormous loaf of fresh-baked Asiago bread with butter -- way more than two people needed, but damn, it was good. Both came out within minutes of ordering. We also ordered the cherry-smoked Old Fashioneds, and they were fantastic. Probably one of the best things we had all night. The presentation was really impressive: instead of simply smoking the glass, the cocktail arrived inside a glass box filled with smoke. The server placed it in front of us and we opened the door ourselves, letting the smoke roll out around the drink. Really cool presentation, and the cocktail tasted every bit as good as it looked. The problem? It took nearly 30 minutes to get them. They were so good I absolutely would have ordered a second round, but after waiting that long for the first one, we weren't willing to chance it. That's a missed sale and, more importantly, a missed part of the experience. In fact, we had finished our calamari before our drinks ever arrived. From the time we were seated, it took close to 10 minutes for our server to return for our drink and appetizer order, and then nearly another 30 minutes for the cocktails -- even after we reminded her. Our server was very sweet, but the interaction felt extremely scripted rather than genuine. We heard essentially the exact same questions and phrases repeated word-for-word at the tables on either side of us. She was also very slow getting back to us throughout the meal. For dinner, we shared the ribeye and Caesar salad because we were hoping to save room for dessert -- it was my birthday. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. At $60, it was exactly what I expected it to be. The Caesar was huge and very good. Everything we ate was delicious, although the food presentation felt surprisingly basic for the type of restaurant Double Cut positions itself to be. The bigger disappointment started before we even sat down. When we arrived, there were several people waiting and no host anywhere in sight. Multiple employees walked past carrying to-go orders without acknowledging anyone or even saying someone would be right with us. Because the entrance also serves Red's Piano Bar, we actually started wondering whether we were even in the right place. When the host finally appeared, there was no hello, no smile, no welcome. Just, "Do you have a reservation?" We gave him our name and were told, very matter-of-factly, that we would have to wait a few minutes. Five minutes later, he returned and led us directly into Red's Piano Bar. That was not what we had reserved. We specifically made a reservation at Double Cut for a quieter, elevated birthday dinner. Instead, we were being seated in a loud bar with red lighting, TVs on the walls and a table just feet from the bar. When we explained that our reservation was for Double Cut, we were told it was the same menu and that if we didn't sit there, we would have to wait considerably longer. So we sat. And frankly, that pretty much took the air out of the evening. Brian had planned a nice, romantic birthday dinner for me. Instead, we were sitting in a bar booth while he tried not to watch the baseball game playing on the TVs. It felt more like sitting in the bar area of a Chili's -- except without the Chili's hospitality or Chili's prices. Even the person who delivered our steak simply asked us to cut into it, said "enjoy," and walked away. No smile. No warmth. Completely transactional. Needless to say, we didn't stay for birthday dessert. We ate what we had ordered, paid the bill and left. The frustrating part is that the kitchen and bar are clearly doing a lot right. The food was genuinely very good, and that cherry-smoked Old Fashioned was outstanding. But at this price point, you're not just paying for a steak and a great cocktail. You're paying for hospitality, atmosphere, pacing and an experience. That part missed the mark by a mile.
