There's nothing eye popping, except for the old original pricing on some boards in the back. The food itself, from the namesake burgers to the tenderloin sandwiches to the fries and onion rings; everything is just good and priced well. It's not Culver's level elite, but it's a nice step up from the McDonald's of the world. It comes out hot and is always right. The staff is always friendly and they move quickly. Hi-Boy is a small burger spot with no seating inside and NO DRIVE THRU, which I find charming. It harkens back to the 50s when it was first opened and even has a neon sign that looks great at night. With just a bit of char around the edges for a crunch and a flavorful and juicy middle of the patty would've been enough to get a great review. But Hi-Boy also makes an AMAZING French fry that I couldn't get enough of. This spot is a very long drive from my house, but that's not going to stop me from visiting again and again.
