We have been here multiple times, and New Years Eve blew us away. This restaurant is one of our favorites to go to in the area, not only for the amazing food, but the spectacular bar as well. Dinner consisted of the swordfish and the ribeye, which were both cooked to perfection and so flavorful. Our server, Devin, did an amazing job taking care of us and was honestly the best. We always receive such exceptional service here, and the restaurant staff are so nice and attentive. Make sure to stop by the bar on the way out - our personal favorites are a classic mojito (they make it the right way), and the hotel's intercontinental 75 (twist on a French 75). Brunch is always the same - in a good way! A restaurant that can deliver the same outstanding dishes is the best. Located onsite at InterContinental Monterey, great colorful American dishes and fresh seafood. We lucked out and stayed here right before the State lockdown. We were trying to escape the Bay Area lockdown, but it followed us j/k. Jaoquin the host up front was extremely helpful. Our server Claudia was attentive, and she knew hospitality. I give this resturant 5 stars and its for one reason... I ordered the Bagel and Lox Breakfest and its so good and flavorful everyone needs to try it. Bagel and Lox is a Creme Cheese Bagel and you get an order of all the toppings to go into the Bagel. Smoked Salmon with Tomatoes, Onions and Capers. Ever since I was a kid I've been obsessed with Monterey. Now that I have a family of my own we come down from Reno every year. The last couple years we have passed this restaurant, and I said "next time we come we will both have higher paying jobs and eat here". This place is great! Keep in mind if you're not staying at the hotel they validate parking for 3 hours when dining, we didn't know and paid for parking around the corner. If I could describe my ideal romantic dinner restaurant, this would be it. We came on a Sunday night 8pm. Our waitress Sharon was amazing and recommended our drinks and appetizer. Plus she gave us a lil history of the town. We had an ocean view. They had the fire on so u didn't feel cold at all sitting outside. There was live music and when the singer left we ate with the sound of the ocean. Pineapple drink: The boyfriend describes it as perfect blend of fun and classy. Mussels: It was good. This is a review for our drinks at the bar one night and breakfast the next morning Servers and management at this hotel restaurant are extraordinarily friendly and service oriented. When we went to the bar around 6 PM before our restaurant reservations nearby, we were warmly redid by the bartender who made us some extraordinary cocktails. The restaurant manager talked to us for a couple of minutes and made some recommendations for things so we could do the next day both for lunch but also activities. He was spot on. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant the next day and it was wonderful. First, it has an unobstructed view of the harbor second to none. You can see the seals, a variety of birds and the Cummings and goings of all of the boats. It's just breathtaking. And, the service and food is wonderful. We had the avocado toast with eggs as well as coffee and side salad and berries. Everything was visually lovely and delicious. No judgment on food for dinner because we did not eat here, but what a wonderful place for breakfast or for a drink. read more

When we come to town to visit our son, we always stay at the Intercontinental. Love the C Restaurant bar. Wonderful cocktail menu and bites. We haven't eaten a full meal there yet. I ordered a sangria--the menu has 3 options on the menu: sparkling, red or white. Luis was our bartender tonight. I asked for his suggestion. He said he'd make a special one that combined red and sparkling with a liquor. It was fabulous! Not sweet, fresh tasting , perfect on a summer evening. Go to brunch spot when I am in Monterey county. It does not disappoint, whether you choose sweet or savory options. The Castroville Omelette was perfectly flavored, and the roasted potatoes where seasoned rounds. The Cinnamon Raisin French Toast was a welcome treat. Recommend a side of the chicken sausage with whatever you get. Though portion sizes are good, more never hurts I've also been here post dinner for drinks. The Pear-Fect Every Time is a great cocktail. It's not too sweat and has a freshness to it that you expect biting into a pear. The InterContinnental75 was also a welcome treat. My friends had the Lavender Blossom version, and though I don't usually like lavender flavored things, it was done lightly and well. Nowhere online or around the hotel or at the restaurant entrance did it say that at 11am the restaurant switch over to $125 brunch only. Very disappointed as we have toddler and can't easily decide to drop that kind of money when we planned for just a quick/small brunch before needing to put our toddler down for a nap. We would have just made the reservation for a little earlier had we know. We were there at 10:50am and I asked if we could still just order quickly from the regular menu and the woman said no :( read more

We were pretty thirsty after walking all of Monterey so we each had 2 glasses of water which came out to two bottles of VOSS water. Not one person said anything that each bottle of water was $12.50! $25 in just water is absurd. We would have just drank from our own hydroflasks had we known that. I choose this spot for lunch on our recent trip to the Monterey Aquarium with the DGDs... I was looking for a quiet spot with a water view. This is just that... modern, clean, great views. Greeted and seated right away, staff was phenomenal. Decent menu included something for all. They served a bottomless Shirley Temple... the girls were thrilled. DGD the Younger ordered from the Kids Menu...Pasta with Marinara. She was happy. DGD the Elder is Gluten Free, and ordered a Burger on Gluten Free Bread. Highly disappointed in our New Year's Eve dinner. The service was very slow. The Sea Bass entree was bland, and left much to be desired. The ceviche was much the same, and boring. For the price, I expect much more. My brother was from out-of-town, and Im saddened that he wasnt given the best Monterey culinary experience. I give this a 4 based on my meal and the view. My bf rates this place a 3 as his burrito was "very average". The Clement Intercontinental Hotel is my favorite place to stay in Monterey. I always go to the C Restaurant at least once for food and drinks while I'm there. The Hong Kong Moscow Mule was served in a beautiful cup. It was very flavorful and had a great kick. Highly recommended. The table sourdough bread was very delicious with the butter. Their Clam Chowder soup is very well flavored and the bacon gives it an added kick. I would say one of the best in Monterey. Finally, the fish tacos were wonderful and well flavored. Definitely recommended. If you come Monday and Tuesday they will have a different menu. From Wed-Sunday, the dinner menu will be different. The tacos were on the Monday and Tuesday menu. They also have some burger choices too on the Monday-Tuesday menu. Highly recommended if you are staying here. read more
