We started with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, and you can immediately tell they don't cut corners--the OJ tasted bright, fresh, and totally worth it. Now let's talk about the food... because WOW. The Signature Pancake Platter was unreal--fluffy, golden, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes that honestly might be some of the best I've had. Adding the soft poached eggs took it to another level (that perfect yolk ), and the hash browns were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--exactly how they should be. We also ordered the West Coast Omelet with feta, and it was packed with flavor--super fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and a generous portion. And yes... we had to add extra pancakes (no regrets), which were just as amazing the second time around. Shoutout to our server JJ, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Service like that really stands out. Everything came out hot, fresh, and quickly, and the portions are more than generous for the price. You definitely won't leave hungry. The benches were the only downside, it is definitely time to replace them! But tables were clean and cute inside. If you're anywhere near here and craving a top-tier breakfast or brunch, don't even think twice--this spot is a MUST. Already planning my next visit!

It's a typical "diner" menu with eggs, pancakes, French toast, and crepes. They also offer some sandwiches like burgers, chicken sandwich, wraps, and even a Greek gyro. This is a great, affordable option in downtown Indianapolis. Check it out when in town.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

We had our coffee before we had time to think and it was Amazing coffee. The mug is so cute (make sure you look into their mug deal if you plan on coming alot) and it was kept full by a team of smiling staff. The menu is broad variety of items yet they were over the top creations. I am a huge crepe fan, but I like savory crepes not the super sweet kinds, so I went with Swedish pancakes instead. I also tried the chicken apple sausage, it was not what I expected, ground chicken with light seasoning in a rough patty shape. The Swedish pancakes where good and a huge portion. I tasted the traditional pancakes and they are very good ,with the addition of their syrup it was dynamite . The decor is vintage 90s and I was there for it, even the locks and handles in the bathroom were adorable. Overall it was a good meal, bit pricey for breakfast food in my opinion but I would go back and share a meal.

This is an old school pancake house where they refresh your coffee when you're halfway through. Oh, the coffee is free for seniors that purchase an entree. My husband had free coffee (and he had about 4 cups). He said the coffee is good. They have their own labelled roasted coffee. So, it's either eggs or pancakes or both. My husband had the Morning Plate with pancakes, bacon and an egg. The thick sliced bacon is awesome with a ton of flavor and certainly memorable. He devoured the pancakes after drowning them in a cup of syrup. He enjoyed his breakfast lunch. I had the Veggie Bowl that included hash browns, topped with a nice mix of vegetables (spinach, pepper, broccoli, onions), and avocado smothered in cheese and topped with two eggs. I felt like the huge bowl was mostly healthy. I took half home, there was a lot of food. Daniel, our server, and all the other servers were super sweet and helpful. My water stayed full. My husband's coffee stayed full. The dining room is filled with booths that are comfortable for the most part. There is a 90's country vibe inside with stained glass and lots of green. I imagine people come in to drink coffee and gab. The only thing that I will call out was the host, who unwelcoming and definitely board with his job. I usually don't single out bad service, but this guy really sets a bad tone for the place. The restrooms are nice and clean. There's plenty of parking in the shared strip mall lot. The lot is a little dangerous as you half to walk across traffic to get into the restaurant.

I ordered the hungry boy with a side of shredded hash browns. It was good, I just wished it had been hot. It was not even warm. My only other suggestion is maybe ask the customer if they want powdered sugar on their French toast or pancakes...I honestly don't like it but it also wasn't listed they add it on the menu in the description. Most places will ask you especially if it's not listed on the menu. Had the waitress asked that I would have opted to not have it otherwise it was a good breakfast for the cost. Amanda was nice and attentive. I appreciate that. The young lady at the register was friendly as we checked out. I noticed they had a strawberry jelly in little jars on the table they must make too. Bloody Marys, screwdrivers, mimosas were all available for brunch. Something you don't see often is eggs in purgatory. I've heard of it but never seen it on a menu. There were so many different things to get it was hard to choose! My biscuits and gravy were great!! The gravy is homemade and has actual sausage in it (!) and it's served hot, not lukewarm. And if you get an egg cooked over easy to add to the mess, the egg will be cooked perfectly. Now, the biscuits in the b&gs may or may not be homemade. If you must know (and I know you must), the biscuits are a little too soft to hold up to all of that gravy. I wish the biscuits were just a touch more crispy on the outside. But this is me nitpicking. For great biscuits and gravy, go to Good Morning Mama's. For a great and unusual sandwich, get the Mama's Favorite: sliced hardboiled eggs, bacon, red onions, tomato, pickles, dill havarti cheese and horseradish aioli on slices of brioche bread. It sounds like a crazy amalgam of ingredients and a crotchety old man's dream sandwich, but just trust me! The Mama's Favorite might be a favorite for a reason. It's really freaking good. You're not going to want to make out with anyone after eating it, but you could also use it as a litmus test: How much do you want to make out with me? Are you willing to taste dill pickles and funky cheese and boiled eggs? Are you feeling lucky, punk? Because anyone who would make out with you after you ate this sandwich would be lucky, indeed. The soup of the day was Italian Wedding Soup, which had mini meatballs and spinach leaves and thin spaghetti noodles in a chicken broth-based soup. It was good. You can get a cup or bowl of any of the soups. Good Morning Mama's has a very nice ambiance going on: You seat yourself, which I am 100% behind always. You can sit outside on their big patio, or anywhere in their indoor dining room, which has booths and tables and even bar seating. Grab a menu as you enter. It's a very casual and relaxed vibe here. The service is top-notch, friendly and personable but efficient and casual, like the servers have been serving for decades. I like Good Morning Mama's a lot.

Everything was prepared well, came out pretty quickly. Our server, Ruth, was polite and effective. She engaged at just the right amount to make us feel welcome, without hovering. It's not inexpensive, but I do think fairly priced for today's economics, we spent $40-ish. If we lived near one of these would likely come in from time to time.
