I needed a cake for my daughters birthday. I did some research on Google. Read a bunch of different reviews from different companies. The Cake Lovers seem to have the best reviews I sent my order in through their website within about 24 hours. I received an email back starting the process. This was for my daughter's 40th birthday. I wanted it to be amazing. They did a lovely two tear cake for me half of it was confetti and the other half was cookies and cream. I had rave reviews from everyone at the party the cake was moist and delicious Customer service was fantastic. Instructions were clear and concise. I will definitely be ordering again. This is my new cake place! Also, I was excited to hear that on Thursday, Thursdays, and Fridays you can also go by the shop and just buy desserts that they've made for the day out of the refrigerator. What's not to love about that! As a disclaimer, I purchased the topper separately.

Also appreciated their recommendations based on the style and flavoring I wanted. Not only did the cake turn out beautifully but the taste was delicious as well. It was an absolute show stopper during the event (wedding shower). Pick up was quick and easy; and every interaction I had was pleasant w/ great costumer service. All I can say is WOW! I ordered a cake for my law firm's 25th anniversary and had a specific request that it look like the founding partner's desk and chair. The cake lovers are amazing! First of all, short notice and they happily provided an immediate quote and option. Extremely professional description of what they could offer. When the cake arrived it was the most artful realistic cake I've ever seen including distress to the desk and chair. The details were insane like a working desk lamp. Yes it lit up!! Best of all the cake was delicious insanely good. Butter chip best flavor. Will use them for every cake from now on!

Unfortunately I have to edit my previous review of The Cake Lovers. I've previously ordered 3 cakes from them which all came out nice a couple years ago, so I thought I could trust them with my wedding cake. Unfortunately I was very wrong, my cake was a huge disappointment appearance and taste. My guests said my cake tasted like vanilla instead of the butter rum we ordered, and the decorations looked like a very cheap version of what I asked for. Below I attached what I asked for (Which is a cake this company make for someone else) and what I received on my wedding day. I am so so disappointed, I didn't even bring my cake home to be frozen or enjoyed later as most newlyweds do, it went right into the garbage. This was no where near worth what I paid this time. read more

The artists at The Cake Lovers were able to create a masterpiece for my wife's 42nd birthday that encapsulated her passion for reading and her career as an educator. Being it was my first time using Nicole and her team, I was speechless when she opened the box to show me the final product. More of a surprise was to hear nearly every guest compliment not only the design, but the moist, rich flavor of the cake which is usually lost with designer cakes. Compliments to The Cake Lovers for making this task a complete success and making me look like a rock star. There are other great bakeries in the area, which I have used over the past six years, but The Cake Lovers are far superior. Could not have been happier with the experience I had with The Cake Lovers. This is the 2nd cake I have ordered and they never disappoint. I had a custom cake made for an 80th Birthday! It was gorgeous, personalized to my specifications and tasted delicious. It was a real hit and I will definitely order from them again. They are a pleasure to work with and very professional. The Cake Lovers did an exceptional job with our wedding dessert table. Originally we planned on only having a wedding cake but after the tasting we wanted to incorporate more of their extraordinary flavors and did so through cake pops and mini cupcakes. I often hear people say no one ever pays attention to the dessert at weddings, but there wasn't a single slice of cake left. Our guests loved it just as much as we did. Nicole was absolutely amazing for my mom's surprise party! She took our design inspirations and created a masterpiece! She was a pleasure to work with. Ordered cupcakes that turned out to be delicious and decorated exactly as requested. Communication and payment were both easy and prompt. After two other custom cakes from other bakeries, The Cake Lovers came though with a first class production. We provided a general theme and The Cake Lovers came up with a fabulous cake. The end result was top notch and I hated to cut it, but after cutting we kept cutting because it was the best tasting cake we had ever had! read more

What an amazing business! We chose this bakery to create a custom cake for a graduation and I couldn't be happier! I don't know how they do it, but even though the entire consultation is via email, they are able to expertly figure out what you want and put it all together. They are also very nice and responsive to calls and answer any questions you may need to ask by phone. Would absolutely use this business again! Did a great job on cupcakes for my friend's baby shower. Being that it was 5 of us planning a shower, it was hard getting answers from everyone. No one can decide on anything. So I took the lead on finding a place to make us cupcakes or cake. I started looking in Yelp and thank god I found Cake Lovers. They were able to accommodate our order last minute, a week before the shower. The theme was Nautical. I ordered 40 cupcakes. Some had a design on top and some were plain with sprinkles. It all depends on what you want. The pickup was fast and easy as it was left in a back room for me. Payment thru paypal was a breeze as well. Great communication thru email. Quick responses. The Cake Lovers COMPLETELY surpassed our expectations for our daughters first birthday. Our custom cake was absolutely delicious. We went with their recommended flavors of 1 layer lemon raspberry and the other layer chocolate chip and everyone was coming back for seconds. The design of the cake was exactly how we requested; the coordination with the baking team regarding design, flavors and questions was seamless. Meet the Business Owner: Cake Lovers l.

Nicole had a passion for art and baking since childhood. Her journey into cake making began in 2005 when she baked her sons first birthday cake, unaware of the path ahead. She created cakes for family and friends which thankfully allowed her to learn the trade. Growing up in the food and hospitality industry also guide her towards entrepreneurship. She takes pride in being self-taught. In 2009, Nicole officially launched The Cake Lovers. While the journey has been challenging, every moment has been worthwhile. In 2017 her dream of opening a cake shop came true. She now has an incredibly talented staff that are classically trained pastry chefs & cake artists. They are just as passionate as she is, and it shows. The Cake Lovers /Nicole was the winner on The Cooking channels show Cake Hunters in 2018 and in 2020 crowned winner of Buddy Valastro's big time bake. The cake Lovers is dedicated team looking forward to new successes and focus on community involvement.

We had grace and forgave The Cake Lovers last year when they messed up the cake banner on the corvette cake we ordered. We didn't leave a bad review and still gave them a second chance this year due to their reviews and photos of other pleased customers. We were hoping to have a better experience and hoped to receive a beautiful cake like they advertise. Unfortunately during the first reveal the name was misspelled, Jackie said she could fix it and will be right back. My mother in law confirmed that she gave her the proper spelling of the name plenty of times and that Jackie had even written down so we don't understand how you could mess it up but we said ok no problem she's going to fix it. When Jackie returned and revealed her patch work we were disappointed once again. It was obvious she quickly printed out the name and slapped it onto the "custom plate" on the patron themed cake we ordered. We informed her that it didn't look good and we did not like how obvious it is. She once again said she could fix it but it would take half an hour. As everyone is aware, when you place these orders it's due to you wanting to celebrate a special occasion. We of course want the cake we ordered and paid for to look perfect and eye pleasing. We waited and instead of letting us see the cake inside Jackie brought it out to our car as if she was just rushing us to leave and not giving us an option to have her fix it incase we didn't like it. When I say this cake looks extremely unprofessional and HALF ASSED!!! I don't know how Jackie felt confident or comfortable letting a customer leave with a cake like that. It looks like she slapped printer paper on top of the custom plate and put a big ugly rectangle on the middle for the name. It looks horrible. Jackie knew we were extremely disappointed especially since this is the second year in a row and all she had to say for herself and the bakery is that she's not the one who decorates the cake and that the boss will call us on Monday to see how she can help us. What do you mean how can she help us??? The party is today and Jackie ruined our cake. What is the boss going to do? You already let the cake go. I honestly don't know how this company can advertise perfect work and then gives us disappointing cakes two years in a row. read more

Everything was PERFECT!!! I made a last minute request and they were very accommodating (others turned me and my Bougie Birthday requests down), so much so that they sketched my dream cake when they didn't offer the design I googled. Most of the time the cakes that are pleasing to the eye are not as pleasing to the palate or go bad (doesn't stay soft and fluffy) very quickly, but NOT in this case!!! The cakes & mini cupcakes looked GORGEOUS, they tasted BETTER than they looked even with buttercream frosting (sweet and flavorful frosting and moist cake that melts in your mouth), the cake did not harden when left out overnight (I prefer room temp cake), and EVERYONE LOVED the cake and mini cupcakes, which made it even more spectacular!!! Literally PERFECT, at room temp, and nearly perfect eaten cold!!! The treats that were used to decorate were not just edible but absolutely delicious (white chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate pieces, cookie pieces, etc.), and I don't really like macaroons but I like theirs. And the answer is YES, their cakes and cupcakes look and taste better than your best or favorite Publix/Costco/Sam's cake!!! Nobody has EVER surpassed Publix++ by such a large margin with such reasonable prices, greatly catered customer care (they provide more than a service, they care - they even found me a decorator, Aquarelle, who was AMAZING for my last minute needs), and high quality products that satisfy the pickiest of people. They have earned my trust and are now my exclusive cake/cupcake shop, also great location-wise in the heart of Broward County. read more

My boss of 16 years turned 75 this year (and celebrated his 50th year in practice as a criminal defense attorney). His birthday happened to fall on the week of our annual Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers annual meeting. This year we were in Ft. Lauderdale. With a crowd of 300+ of his closest friends and colleagues, I knew the cake had to be something special. I contacted several bakeries in the area. The Cake Lovers was the first to respond and were so accommodating. I was very vague with what I wanted as I didn't really know for sure. I told them a few of my boss's likes and dislikes and left it in their hands. The final product was beyond anything I could have imagined. They created a masterpiece! It was a cigar box complete with cutter, ashtray, and cigars. Every single piece was edible. The look was so incredibly realistic that upon being presented with the cake (after lecturing hundreds of attendees), my boss tried to open it as if it were an actual cigar box! I am a snowbird from Long Island. I spent several days searching for the most delicious BD cake for a relative who lives in Coral Springs. Attendees at the party have highly selective palates. They are the type that put a fork to their mouths to taste the cake and then push the plate away. What can I say but we have all been spoiled by the best-of-the-best in NY. The Cake Lovers cake was gorgeously decorated I must say. The "Cake Boss" couldn't have done it any better. However, the contents were more than delicious. This cake was delectably perfect! I ordered my friend's 30th birthday cake from The cake lovers. I was searching for places that do special orders on cakes and came across these guys. I emailed one of the owners the specifics of the cake. Let me say this, the service was outstanding. Coleene, one of the owners, was very accommodating, especially the fact that I placed my order three days before I needed it. Usually you would have to place your order about two weeks prior. I order the red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream filling and fondant icing. There were other specific details to the cake as well. The end results was a beautiful creation. The cake it self was delish!! Although the cake was beautifully decorated and tasty, the one thing that I really loved was the service. I seriously cannot recommend Cake Lovers enough. We used them for a wedding cake and they were AMAZING. They have so many flavors to try - not your typical chocolate and vanilla. And every flavor is to die for. We had them make a cookie cake for our grooms cake and it was the best cookie cake I've ever had. My husband and I ate leftover cake our entire honeymoon and it was worth every calorie. Their cakes are also GORGEOUS. While they are slightly on the more expensive side, it is well worth it. It was my girlfriend's 50th birthday and they made a black Burberry shopping bag with white rope handles with a scarf coming out of the top in the traditional Burberry print standing up on a white base cake with a red bow around the bottom.
