How's it going, eh? A purely Canadian themed sports bar I wandered into down in Chelsea which was pretty cool. Terrific decor with Canadian flags, a stuffed moose head above the bar, hockey memorabilia all around, plenty of tv's with the games on, and a photo wall of famous Canadian actors, singers, comedians. An overall fun vibe. There's also some outside seating in front. Labatt's on tap, poutine, and nanaimo bars! Take off, eh!

Came in for a few drinks since I was in the area. Good selection of draught beers and for the most part bartenders were very nice as well as the patrons. I didn't try the food but I now know where to get poutine. Since I was here early around 4:30 pm it wasn't crowded and music wasn't crazy.

Out and about on a Monday night to support our neighbors to the North, we finally took the trek to what might be the city's only Canadian sports bar. The decor (hockey, flags, and a friendly looking stuffed moose) is on point while TV's were focused on the Stanley Cup playoffs, baseball, and....Canadian election results. The menu is mostly standard pub fare (burgers, wraps, heartier entrees) with a few poutine choices to boot. The drinks list features some Canadian brews and the bar stocks some tough to find Canadian whiskys. We split the "Canadian Whisky Eh" tasting; I paired it with a grilled chicken wrap + side of poutine. The whisky was excellent, particularly the Lot 40 Dark Oak. While the sandwich (grilled chicken + pepper jack + red onion + lettuce + tomato + avocado + chipotle mayo) wasn't anything special, the poutine was on point: starchy fries topped with fresh curds + rich gravy

Fun bar in Chelsea with pretty solid pub fare and a good selection of beers - that fully embraces its Canadian heritage and theme. We came over specifically to watch Ovechkin score his record-setting 895th goal in the NHL, which he did. Showed up 30 minutes before the game (bar opens at 12:00 pm) just to be safe and snag a couple good seats, but in the end it wasn't even necessary - despite the big game, the bar wasn't exactly packed. But it was pleasantly full once the game started. Staff here are nice and fairly quick, and food comes out just as fast. You can get a couple Canadian beers here on tap or in a bottle, which is nice - and they have a few other Canadian specialties, including the Cesar Cocktail, the Nanaimo Bar dessert, and of course various types of poutine. Again, the overall quality of the food is solid. Nothing more and nothing less than you'd expect from a decent bar. Over the course of the game we got ourselves two beers, a cider, a cocktail, an order of nachos, one of poutine, and a dessert - and ended up spending just over $100 with tip. So it may not be super cheap, but by NYC prices it's not expensive either. What makes me want to come back, besides the fairly good service, is the ambience. It's kinda cool to have something of an expat bar for Canucks and for big hockey fans in general. If you want to catch a hockey game and treat yourself to a good time, this is the place to be.

Have been wanting to come here for a while and finally made it here while family was in town. Fantastic bar, fantastic service (complete with sarcasm) and amazing food too!! Had the pretzel and wings which were so so sooo yummy!! You can just tell it's a local joint. Surrounded by incredible hockey memorabilia and lots of great stories, will absolutely be back!!

Solid spot for beers and watching hockey! The decoration is all Canadian/hockey themed, along with the huge Moose at the middle of the bar. The food is decent for a bar - the truffle fries ($10) had a bit too much of the fake truffle powder on top and could have been crispier, but if you are there mainly to drink beers it does the job! Great spot to hang out with friends.

I give this bar a 4.5 - the ambiance, food, and service as well as the devotion to Canada and hockey is a 5 but there were several fruit flies that kept flying around our food/us so that's why I dock half a point - the rest was great. My husband ordered a beer and I got a margarita. We got a salad to start and then I got the buffalo chicken wrap and my husband ordered the burger - both came with fries. All the food and drinks were super tasty and the service was quick and efficient. It was cold outside so coming in for food and to watch the hockey game was a lot of fun and really cozy. We had been there on a previous trip to NY and it was during playoffs and packed - no where to sit but this trip it was a lot quieter so we got to stay for a bit and really relax and enjoy ourselves for a bit. We'll definitely be back on our future trips to NY! :)

As a hockey fan, you can't ask for anything more. I love this place. We got the poutine and buffalo cauliflower wings and they were phenomenal. The mushroom poutine made me question America's decisions on food. Also, my hockey fans! They sell their own pucks.

Canadian bar, they were playing hockey and also people with hockey sticks came in so it must be legit 28$ beer pitchers but it was more like 4.5 beers than 5. Enjoyed, would go back if in the area:)

Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!

We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend.
