The service was good and staff was friendly with the manager going around asking how the food is. Their steaks are phenomenal! Expensive but delicious! We spent over $900 with tip but it was worth it! The dry aged porter house was my favorite since it had a very unique flavor to it but most of my party liked the ribeye more! The calamari was delicious with the peppers that added that spicy kick! The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious as well! The veggies were all very good too! Didn't have room in my stomach to try the salmon but ate I the leftovers and the sweet glaze on it was delicious This location in my opinion is better than the cherry hill one in flavor! Been to Philly location twice and cherry hill location twice

Awesome food, awesome service and lovely place to be!!! We were visiting and wanted to try Grilled place here as well. The place is huge plus heavily booked and reserved and seated- so make an advance reservation and expect an additional 15-20 mins wait time. We tried their ribs- yum yum yummy they were and my husband had the steak. We also had an appetizer that was kind of sushi. Everything was nice and warm about this place!!! Definitely will visit this place again in a different city now!!!

What went well at Capital Grille? How about everything! Service was 5 star, very attentive, helpful when we had questions about a particular menu item, and provided great suggestions. We didn't have any extend waits between the appetizers, main course, and desserts as may have been expected on a very crowded Saturday night. The most important part of a great steak dinner is that it's cooked to the temperature you requested, they cooked both our steaks to perfection. The old saying, "you get what you pay for", is applied in the positive for our visit to the Philadelphia Capital Grille.

As always, as great experience here. The staff are amazing! Very professional and welcoming. Sever, Janelle was very accommodating and made the experience top notch! I certainly hope to have her as my server again. My surf and turf was simply the best! Large succulent lobster tail accompanied by a perfectly cooked Gorgonzola crusted T-bone steak. My Caesar salad was delicious! Don't sleep on the amazing bread basket! I couldn't help my self devour it! Even though I'm not really eating a lot of carbs lately. I really need to start adding Capital Grille back into my restaurant rotation again. I've missed it!

Our hotel wasn't too far from this Capital Grille, so we decided to give it a shot before heading to Lincoln Financial Stadium. As we walked in the restaurant was nice, clean and empty. So, we decided to just grab a seat in the bar area at the high chairs and table tops. The game was on so it was perfect for us to grab a bite, chill for a minute and then head out. Our waitress was very nice, attentive with making sure our drinks were refilled and asking if everything was ok. I didn't want to get too full because I wanted to try some cheesesteaks later. So, I went with the crabcake appetizer and the seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails. When the food first arrived, I thought it wasn't going to be enough because the tenderloins and lobsters were very small, almost bite size. However, those little things were filling! Anyway, the food was good but it was a bit pricey for the small amount that I had. I understand it's a steakhouse so it will be more on the higher side but it wasn't anything you can't get from another steakhouse. I would probably go again if back in the area. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

I had an amazing experience at Capital Grill. It was my first time and I came here for New Year's Eve and to celebrate my birthday. Had the filet mignon which was done to perfection. The lobster bisque was amazing and Caesar salad was great. The waitress and service were up par and excellent. Loved the drinks. Enjoyed the vibes. They gave me a free dessert and free shot which I very much appreciated. Highly recommend. Will come again.

Capitol Grill delivered on every front. Our server Maria was nothing short of exceptional -- attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She set the tone for an outstanding meal. The beet and goat cheese salad was earthy, tangy, and perfectly balanced. The lobster cake had generous chunks of sweet lobster with a beautiful golden sear. The French onion soup came bubbling with rich, caramelized broth beneath a blanket of melted cheese, and the lobster bisque was velvety smooth with incredible depth of flavor. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean, the noise level was just right for comfortable conversation, and the décor was tasteful and inviting. Impeccable service, outstanding food, and a polished atmosphere -- Capitol Grill is going into the regular rotation.

Happy anniversary from Seydou Kane (Kane) to us...

We celebrated our anniversary, and could not be more grateful to our primary server Seydou Kane ("Kane") for his perfect advice, service, and sincerity in wishing us well. I'm certain Kane is supported by Maribel and others - but I'm certain he made the extra effort to ensure our anniversary dinner was perfect. Filet and Dry Aged NY Strip served perfectly... advice on wine and beverage spot on. We look forward to visiting again - hopefully with Kane!

Stopped for drinks & dessert while on vacation and the coconut cream pie and espresso martini here were fantastic! They had the Phillies game on and I loved the bar here. Love that the capital grille brand is consistent with whatever location you go to.

Warm, low lighting and inviting atmosphere with attentive, engaging service. 4 minute walk from the Residence Inn Philly Center City. The wedge salad is a meal, with exceptional bacon chunks and blue cheese crumbles (if you want them... I do!). More than acceptable house cab. I'll be back.

We stopped in at The Capitol Grille for some light snacks on an early Sunday afternoon. We sat in the bar area which is open seating. They have high table top seating and didn't have to have a reservation. We got an order of their scallops and crab cake. Both were really delicious the crab cake is decent size and can be shared between two people. It came with an excellent purse sauce. You got about six scallops and they were served with some rice on the side. Then I also got their lobster bisque soup. This is a great place to have a nice meal and enjoy yourself for a special occasion with friendly staff.

Excellent dinner at a business event downtown. Service was excellent, had nice wine, and the appetizers and steak were top notch as well! One slight comment, the waiter was not sure where the oysters were from, is oyster snobs want to know! Had the filet with Bearnaise on the side!

    Is there valet parking?

I believe there is, but we did not use it.

What's the name of the dining room that's on the other side of the back wall of the bar?

Marion Anderson room or Chestnut Room

Is there a dress code and is it enforced?

No. I don't remember there being a dress code, but dress casual. You will feel very out of place if you don't. It's an upscale restaurant and most of the customers are businessmen in suits

    Do I need a reservation?

I would definitely recommend having a reservation, especially if you're going for dinner. It's a great restaurant, enjoy!

I saw some nice appetizers and chose a sandwich as well. I started with the Artichoke Hummus with Feta and Grilled Focaccia - it was excellent! Large chunks of artichoke with the creamy hummus and little balls of feta were such a great combination. However, it was the Grilled Focaccia that brought the spread to its peak. Light and slightly crunchy it was so delicious with the hummus! Next up, the Pistachio Herbed Ricotta with Lavender Honey Bruschetta. I took my first bite started to chew and had to close my eyes as I was transported to a 'heavenly' taste. The pistachio with the creamy ricotta was amazing, and with the lavender honey, it was over the top. I told the server it could be a dessert as well! After two great appetizers, I was really looking forward to my 'main dish' - the Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Cabot Cheddar, fresh tomato and arugula, and a truffle herbed aioli (I opted out of the bacon). I took a bite and of this thick smoked chicken breast with a fabulous aioli dressing and was delighted it was every bit as delicious as the appetizers! The chicken was tender complimented by the cheese, tomato and arugula-but I had the dressing come on the side and found myself adding more and more, it was so good! What a gem in Center Cjty - it's a must try!

Sure, there has been the occasional hiccup here and there, but that's simply the reality of the service industry. What matters is that the overall experience has been consistently excellent, and over time I've come to know and appreciate many members of your team. My most recent visit, however, reminded me exactly why I keep coming back and fully reaffirmed my ongoing state of Barcelona Bliss. I recently made reservations for myself and a friend to celebrate his birthday. Wanting to guarantee a great evening, there was really only one choice: Barcelona. As an added bonus, I had attended UNCORKED and was fortunate enough to win an extra prize along with my free tapas button: a $100 credit toward a bottle of wine. From the moment we walked through the door, the evening was off to a great start. We were greeted by Elliot, my favorite person at Barcelona. I've always found him to be welcoming, attentive, personable, and genuinely funny. In fact, he was one of the original reasons we became regulars. When he first served us, he combined exceptional service with an engaging personality that made every visit feel special. As always, he was on top of everything and even made a point of wishing my friend a happy birthday. I could spend pages describing the food, service, and atmosphere, but I'll spare you my rambling. Suffice it to say, the evening was exceptional. Every member of the team seemed committed to making sure we had a memorable experience. Whether it was the thoughtful suggestion to combine our table with another when our growing collection of tapas and wine began to outgrow the available real estate, the delightful sommelier, a funny and attentive blonde woman whose name I unfortunately can't remember, who guided us to the perfect bottle, or our server, who never missed a beat and seemed to anticipate every need before we could ask, every member of the team contributed to making the evening truly special. The 2024 Gessamí was an inspired recommendation and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the night. Fragrant and beautifully balanced, with notes of jasmine, citrus, and ripe stone fruit, it was vibrant, refreshing, and paired wonderfully with our seemingly endless parade of tapas. The entire experience was lovely, fun, memorable, and genuinely impressive. While I unfortunately can't remember the names of either the sommelier or our server, that is in no way a reflection of their service. If anything, it simply highlights the shortcomings of my memory. Their attentiveness, professionalism, warmth, and contributions to the evening certainly did not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. This visit reminded me exactly why Barcelona has become such a favorite destination. Time and again, you deliver the perfect combination of outstanding food, exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both exciting and comfortable at the same time. While Barcelona Wine Bar is certainly a great name, in my mind it will always be known as my Barcelona Bliss.
