I just found out I have Celiac and going gluten free was so daunting. I came across this bakery on Google and it happens to be close to my house. it was so comforting seeing "gluten free bakery" and "celiac friendly" on the door. I came in for a brownie so I could participate in our family brownie sundae party. I saw the coffee cake and couldn't resist. I took a bite when I got in the car and I was shocked. it was the greatest coffee cake I've ever had and I was sure there was no way it was gluten free. We finally made the drive out to this place and we're so glad we did. Everything we tried was delicious, and we felt safe eating here with multiple food allergies in our family. One of the best if not best vegan bakeries I have ever been to. Everything is delicious and all my non-vegan and gf friends have praised the treats they have tried here. The cookie sandwiches are phenomenal, as is the coffee cake, and the menu rotates weekly so there are always new treats to try! These baked goods are great. No food allergies or anything, but I just enjoy what they offer. The menu is always changing, so that makes it fun, and keeps the wife and I returning. I have had many things from here. I first had their stuff when they were just working out of farmers markets. Now we have the option of the markets or store. My wife gets stuff from here on the regular for a family who has a gluten intolerance. The family member always loves and appreciates whatever dessert we bring them. We absolutely love the treats here! I first discovered Caring Kitchen when I went fairy free for a while during my breastfeeding journey and the treats really hit the spot. And since then, if I see her at an event or if we're in the area by the store, we HAVE to get something (more like some thingS cause everyone wants their own lol). The cookies are always a hit and she has anything from traditional flavors to fun blends and creations. And her cupcakes are moist and flavorful. I'll eat anything with strawberries that she makes, her cranberry bars are crack, and I could go on... I wish we lived closer so we could try so many more things but I'd be so fat lol. And it's so awesome that it's all gluten-free and vegan without ever sacrificing quality or taste if you mountain to traditional goods. Long overdue review, since I've been following Delaney on IG and buying her gf treats for a while now, but OMG, her stuff is ah-mazing! From Farmer's Markets and porch pickups to now having a super-cute storefront, Delaney's gluten free goodies have always been to die for. Cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cake pops, pies, cheesecakes, Star Wars goodies for Star Wars days, specialty items for holidays, it's all divine! And Delaney is pretty awesome, too. She's obviously worked her butt off to get her business off the ground, and she deserves all the kudos. I found this business completely by accident, and I'm so glad I did! The decorations and display cases inside the bakery are super cute, and their desserts are absolutely fantastic. As soon as I brought them home I had to try all of them (that's why there's a bite missing from each of them in my photo :)). I simply love this place. I will be honest and say I didn't really know what to expect when visiting a specialty bakery such as The Caring Kitchen. Most of my experience with gluten free products is mass produced products available at Whole Foods or Sprouts that were lackluster. Not the case with The Caring Kitchen, we are so lucky to have such a gem of a bakery in Rancho Cordova. I am addicted to their cookie sandwiches and have visited every weekend to get my fix. I began buying treats from the Caring Kitchen about a year ago when the storefront first opened its doors. Both my son and I have dairy allergies and we were so ecstatic to find a bakery so close to home. In the last year my family and I have enjoyed the most delicious treats including amazing gluten-free/dairy "hostess" cupcakes, pineapple Dole whip frosted cookies, chocolate peppermint cookie sandwiches around Christmas time and all the new creative goodies she comes up with often. Not only is the owner an amazing baker who truly cares about what she does, but she cares about the people in her community. She offers many giveaways, donates cookies to the elderly and hosts charity events for children's hospitals. My family and I couldn't ask for a better bakery to be in our own backyard! If I could give this little bakery 10 stars I would! Having just moved to the area from a place where there's vegan everything, I've been struggling to find delicious vegan options. But here you have it! I bought a little bit of just about everything and my favorites were the sandwich cookies (chocolate peppermint and oatmeal creme), the mini banana cream pie, and the oreo cookie brownie. But I haven't yet tasted everything I bought...so maybe something else will come up as a favorite (raspberry tart?). It's been YEARS (decades really) since I've been able to eat a banana cream pie and this mini pie had all the goodness you would expect. I was introduced to the Caring Kitchen a few months back by a friend who knew I had celiac disease. At the time they were just a pop up. When I learned they now have their own shop, I was thrilled! They have hands down the best gluten free baked goods I have ever in my life tried. My family, who do not have celiac disease, also very much love their products. My son adores the chocolate chip cookies and I love the cookie sandwiches and banana bread (not pictured, it was so good I ate it before taking any pictures). The texture is exactly what you'd imagine the perfect cookie to be, and it's consistent every single time. The rotating flavors are always amazing. Even if you don't have to eat gluten free or vegan for health reasons, you'd still be blown away by all the items here! I live over an hour away and it's worth the drive.
