I'm a local and have come here often enough over the years, mostly under the prior owners. In fact, my prior review with those owners was 5-stars across the board. I've been coming here a bit more often lately, for no reason other than I felt like it. I've generally come while it's extremely busy, which is relevant. Today was the first time in years that I stopped in for lunch. It wasn't that busy, which is also relevant. I definitely feel like I got scammed, and I wonder how many times before this I actually was too and I just didn't notice because of how busy it was where I was unable to get a paper receipt? I've DEFINITELY been scammed on the credit card surcharge fee, but what else? Today, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Salad - my previous review praised them for the Buffalo Chicken Caesar, and that USED to be great - but it was listed differently on the menu and now came with Ranch. That was no big deal - sub Ranch for Caesar, all good. The food came out correct, and is still really tasty, but the portion is MUCH smaller. Then as I'm going to pay, I'm verbally told a total. Okay, here's my card. I leave a tip, I hit print. It's slow, so for once, the server actually brings me the receipt. The amounts and some items are COMPLETELY WRONG! 1) Wrong beer. I pointed at the specials board and asked for the Red for $5. I was charged $7 for a Kiltlifter 2) Extra dressing. I was charged $0.75 for an extra dressing. I didn't ask for EXTRA dressing, just sub Caesar. And even if I had, it was not listed as an upcharge on the menu. 3) Undisclosed 3% credit card fee 4) No paper receipt before payment I was also here a few days ago on St. Patrick's Day as well, and those portions were also smaller than under previous ownership. The food was still delicious, but I definitely got scammed on the undisclosed credit card fee, and what else did I possibly get scammed on? I'm not faulting you for the slower service on an extremely busy day - but I am definitely wondering how badly I got scammed when I was completely unable to get a paper receipt? One scam brings into question ALL transactions. Previous visits were also during busy times, and paid on their handheld, with no receipts - and impossible to get a paper copy. So really, how bad is it? How badly are you scamming the elderly retirees who come in? Sadly, we'll never know. I'm not sure if Josh is the manager, or one of the new owners, but I apparently hurt his feelings by calling him and the server scammers. Here's a pro-tip, though: If you don't want to be called a scammer, don't BE a scammer! I just cited FOUR WAYS above that I was scammed, Josh! One can be accepted as an accident - but FOUR!? NO. You either have the most incompetent server employed, OR you're condoning SCAMS. It was not busy, it was not noisy. There's no way he "misheard" me when I ordered. And your slimy business practice of telling a total without a paper ticket to verify encourages this bad behavior. Easy ways to solve this problem: - Make your servers give paper tickets before collecting payment on every transaction so customers can make sure the order is correct - Add credit card fee language to every page of your menu and your specials boards. If someone is ordering from seeing the tap, or just ordering off the top of their head without ever seeing a menu, they won't know this fee exists otherwise - List all other upcharges such as extra dressings on the menu. Problem solved. My consulting fee can be paid in beer. But I bet they won't fix the issues, or pay me. I have to say for full accuracy and disclosure that they refunded my entire purchase (which is not what I asked for - just the wrong items and the tip), but the level of scam here was so egregious that I was going to leave a poor review either way. Basically, if you want to go here, you might still be okay - just INSIST on receiving a paper copy of your bill, and know that credit cards are charged a fee, which is not disclosed anywhere unless you get a paper copy of your bill! 44-1522. Very good service. Staff all seemed focused and hard working. Setting is casual and relaxed. Typical sports bar type vibe. Family friendly & people were also playing pool & darts. It was Monday and martinis were on special for $8. I had a chocolate sensation martini and it was good. For my meal I had grilled chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Sandwich was good, lots of avocado and lettuce, fresh brioche (big) bun. The coleslaw was not good in my opinion. I could not eat it. Stopped by here on the 26th while I was in Sedona for my birthday, we were a party of 7 & we wanted some drinks but when we got there we ended up eating, drinking, and playing pool. Our server was a nice, funny, very personable lady whom I forgot her name, everyone said she was cool and she gave us great service. I am a server in San Diego so it was nice to get good service. The food came out hot and everyone enjoyed their meals, the portions were generous. The drinks during happy hour were 8$ margs. We also had some Mexican candy shots. The drinks were made well, nice and balanced, which surprised us. The only downfall was a couple members of my group that had went to the bar to order some drinks were blatantly ignored by the guy bartender right off the bat which is the reason I can't give 5 stars. I don't write reviews often and definitely don't normally repeat restaurants on the same vacation, but this place calls for it. We were in Sedona for 5 nights and ate out all over Sedona, but on the last night we cancelled our original plans and went back to PJs after having their potato skins, Cobb salad and prickly pear margaritas a few days before. This time we did the fried zucchini, Cobb salad, French dip and prickly pear margaritas! I would order everything again over and over except the French dip. The French dip had good flavor but the meat was a little tough. Everything else including the service more than made up for it! read more

Went to PJ's to watch some football on Sunday. Our server was amazing. The food was delicious! And the atmosphere was awesome! They had all the TV's marked from what game was on. Next time I'm in town during football season, I'll definitely be back. My wife loved the tomato basil soup. read more

My friends and I stopped in to watch college football on a Saturday around 12:30pm. There weren't many people there initially, but by the time we left, it was almost packed. Locals, golfers, bikers - everyone was enjoying good food and beer. The food menu offered a lot more than I expected for a pub. We went with the basics for football watching: chips & salsa, sweet potato fries, burgers, and chicken tenders (I definitely recommend the honey mustard sauce!). The food was great, as was the service. There are plenty of tvs to watch sports, and there's a pool table in the back corner. We were staying in Sedona for a week and went to this place to watch some football for the Hawkeye bowl game. This bar is nothing fancy but perfect for what we needed. Bartender was pleasant and friendly. When we got there it was slow but picked up quite a bit as more games started. Tons of TV's line the bar to watch sports. Bartender kept our drinks full and let the kids shoot pool and play darts. We ordered food at halftime and it came out quick, was hot and fresh. Portions were on the larger side. Only downfall I would say was the price. It was steep. For our party of 8 we dropped $350 on a couple drinks each and a bar food meal. When we came in, the first thing one of the employees did was get my kids crayons and a coloring sheet. This was a Godsend. Almost like he knew they would need something to occupy them. Food was good. Not spectacular. I had the turkey and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. I give it a 7 out of 10. Kids had burgers. They clearly make the patties in house themselves. They were top quality for kids burgers. Wife had the pulled pork, which she seemed to like. She gave me a bite, but I'm not comfortable reviewing a dish based on one bite. We happened upon PJ's after hiking in Sedona. Wanting a less crowded dining experience than downtown Sedona. We drove to the Oak Creek area & found what seems like a local favorite, PJ's. It's a bar/restaurant with a decent food menu. Unfortunately of the three IPA's they typically offer, only one was on tap. Fortunately it was a really good local Oak Creek Brewery IPA. My wife ordered a portobello mushroom wrap & I had the pulled pork sandwich. As much as I love fries, I opted for a side salad & it was great. It was quiet (~2:30pm) so service was friendly & attentive. There are a few tvs showing sports & videos. It got much busier while we were enjoying our food - turns out Happy Hour starts at 3pm M-F. They weren't that busy so we were served right away. The bartender wasn't real friendly but got our drinks. Another gentleman with an English accept came over and was super friendly. We ordered our food with him. I ordered the French Dip and my wife ordered chicken fingers. French did was good not great, the chicken strips tasted like they came out of a bag.
