Savanna, the host, was incredibly kind and patient. We requested bar seating for happy hour, and she went above and beyond to make sure our party of five was comfortable -- especially with my husband and son both being 6'7". She found us a table for seven so we had plenty of space, and we truly appreciated her effort. Our server was great as well, and I'm sorry I didn't catch her name. She took good care of us throughout our visit. I also want to acknowledge the General Manager, Abby, who was extremely attentive. We did get some of the food items before we got bread so that was strange but we weren't too upset about it at all. Now for the real reason behind this review: my partner ordered a steal, medium rare. When the steak was brought out, we could tell immediately that the steak was cooked to a medium well level. My sweet partner forbade me from bringing it up to the server as he doesn't like to cause problems. We were letting it slide when our server, Nikki, checked in with us and even doubled back when she noticed the steak was improperly prepared. She was super apologetic and kind and stated she would get a new steak since the first one was overdone. She offered a soup or salad while we waited for the new food to arrive. Came here for my friends birthday with her daughter. As we were getting seated the hostess asked if we were celebrating something because she saw the gift I was holding, so I excitedly told her we were celebrating her birthday. Not sure why he would say that, because if he knew it was cold wouldn't the right thing to do is ask the kitchen to heat it up or remake it instead of having us complain that it was cold? I called and spoke with the manager, Grant, who clearly thought the situation was funny. He told me the ahi tuna is "prepackaged at around 2 oz." So I decided to put everything on a scale myself... and it wasn't even 2 oz. It came out to about 1.5 oz. I'm absolutely livid because I've ordered this exact dish several times while dining in, and it looked NOTHING like this. My daughter took me out for my birthday here and for the first time paid the bill, was pretty sweet! The restaurant was nice inside, liked the lighting and vibe. Though the hostess was very kind, she did not then understand when I requested for us to just sit separate so we could get tables, and that another party our same size being seated at that moment was disheartening to see. After probably five minutes later, we finally got our table. We scarfed down our food and were still late. Sure, it was a busy night, and everyone was doing their best--absolutely acknowledged that. The bartender, a bald man, quickly approached me and raised his voice at me saying "someone's sitting there!" Even though I was already walking away and I never even sat in the chair. I normally wouldn't write a review for a one off situation but I had encountered him before when I went another time with a friend of mine. Came in on the 23rd right before the holiday evening rush. We were sat down within 20minutes. Server came right over to offer us drinks and appetizer. Appetizer was out within 15minutes. Served hot. That's always a plus. My bang bang shrimp plate had too much coconut in it plus it lacked a lot of flavor of curry and spice. The farfalle pasta had too much tomato and peppers. The Cheesecake Factory is a chain American restaurant known for its large menu and cheesecakes. This one is located at the Los Cerritos mall which can be tough for parking during rush hour and weekends. Came here on a weeknight for dinner and it was not busy, so easy to find a spot. We walked in, put our name down, and were seated in about 10 minutes at the patio area. This was our first time dining in the patio area and might be our preference versus indoor seating. It's not as big as the indoor space but still plenty of tables. Our server stopped by to bring us bread and butter (which was unfortunately cold) then came back to take our orders. We ordered the Grilled Branzino from the Skinny menu and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts to share. Food took a while to arrive. Our server gave us extra plates for sharing and mine was dirty (see picture), so I didn't end up using it. The Brussel sprouts portion was on the smaller side but the branzino entree was fair. The branzino was very dry and overcooked, but the sauce and mashed potatoes it came with were good. The green beans were okay. The brussel sprouts were good. The sauce at the bottom of the cast iron dish was sweet and there was a decent amount of bacon bits. Overall, giving The Cheesecake Factory a 2/5. Our server was nice, but service was slow for not dining during rush hour or on a busy day. My extra plate was dirty and was not usable. The branzino was dry. Value for our meal was not great. Our bill was $45 including tax, but not tip. Probably will not be back for a full meal, but open to coming for dessert. read more
