Located now in the back of the mall, there are cars and cars waiting for their curbside to go but their system was flawed to say the least. We arrived after placing our order online but were not allowed to wait in the spot but start off on a line by the door to "check in." Definitely not the best experience, seemed to be a lot more complicated than necessary. Ordered carne asada medium well and got it burnt. Got a much smaller portion than usual and the broccoli was turning yellow instead of dark green. My partner and I came to this establishment located at the Riverside Mall for an early dinner today. We've been here numerous times and being a Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately inside without a reservation but they also have seating at a court yard dining area off the mall concourse as well as an outside patio area. Their menu is always extensive with appetizers, salads, sandwiches and dinner dishes. Their signature cheesecake is, of course, the star of the show. Our server was Brian who brought out complimentary warm bread with soft butter. Our order consisted of the Chicken and Biscuits (Sauteed Chicken Breasts Covered with a Rich Pan Gravy, served with their Mashed Potatoes, Mushrooms, Vegetables and Buttermilk Biscuits) and the Crispy Chicken Costoletta (Chicken Breast Lightly Breaded and Sauteed to a Crisp Golden Brown. Served with Lemon Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Asparagus). Food is always cooked to perfection and they make no mistakes with your order nor do they forget about any details in regards your food. The portions are generous huge here which we took a doggie bag home. Had to save room for dessert and got one of their newest coconut cream pie cheesecake. This review is an update of my past 3 experiences with the Cheesecake Factory and why I will not be returning to this location. Yesterday I ordered takeout. I put the order in correctly on my end. The receipt printed out the order correctly however when I got my order it was wrong. On the receipt it printed the time to arrive for pickup. Arrived on time, followed all the instructions, still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my order. Placed a nice tip in the tip jar. Due to the pandemic, I did not feel comfortable waiting inside any longer, when there are other people also waiting inside. Get outside to my car, and my food is wrong, at this point I'm starving. The bread was rock hard, anyone that bites into it teeth would crack (no thank you). At this point I tried calling the restaurant, no answer. So I'm stuck outside hoping someone would come out. A worker comes to my car, no mask, no gloves, sees that my order is wrong. He takes my food tells me to wait 20 minutes or so for my order to be corrected. Waited an hour to get my food, no napkins, utensils, rock hard bread. This experience was a complete turn off. Before the pandemic the takeout counter was a nightmare, and my last dine in experience was not great with rude hostesses stressed out taking their frustrations out on customers. Carry out, whom most of the staff are lovely but you have one new person that does not get customer service or they really do not care about your order. Has happened way too many times. The excuse for take out, we are overwhelmed with Ubereats orders. This was the excuse during the Christmas, and New Years holidays, not my problem. FYI, had no interest in ordering since the holidays because they could not handle the volume of customers. As a customer, there lack of staff, no hires, can not meet the demands of app based take out orders should not be my concern. My role as a customer are the following: order, pay, tip, be polite. Picking up my food should not be a hassle, or being treated or made to feel horrible with dine in because a new hostess is having a bad day is not my problem. It's inconsistencies on this level, no respect for my time, lack of concern for customers food, is the reason I have lost interest in patronizing the Cheesecake Factory. It takes a certain level of trust to order out during these challenging times. I no longer trust this company with preparing my food. Stopped in for a bite to eat with my husband and Son. The wait for drinks should have indicated what was in store for us. My so. Asked for a milkshake and was told there wasnt any for about a year. Yet its still on the menu. After an exceptionally long wait, we received our FLAT sodas. Asked for Crab bites for an appetizer. WARNING: BE VIGILANT AT ALL TIMES On the evening of February 17th, my husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at our favorite restaurant (Cheesecake Factory) located in Hackensack New Jersey. We had four other restaurants in mind but decided we'd play it safe and to guarantee enjoyment we stuck to what we thought would be a favorable experience. For starters, my husband and I ordered our usual water instead of sugar drinks or alcoholic beverages. As we dined sipping our water and exchanging conversation, I began stirring my now-then half cup of water with my straw to notice something I had never experienced before. Inside mixed within the ice was a clear FILTHY acrylic outer packaging that six sets of crayons come in. Dismay immediately came upon me, and I requested to speak with a Manager. Conversations with the FIRST Manager was apologetic and stated our dinner bill would be 100% taken care of. Minutes later a SECOND Manager approached our dining table to be told that we would only receive complimentary cheesecakes and not our entire meal. Even more insulting, the Manager excluded my husband's meal and ONLY offered to care for my entree. He also mentioned that they do not provide packaged crayons for children and unsure how this could have happened from their kitchen. It went as far up as a final THIRD restaurant Manager arriving at our dining table with an immediate apology for any misunderstandings and stated at the expense of the restaurant our entire bill would be taken care of. This ordeal took place the entire evening ruining what was supposed to be a special and exciting Valentine's Day celebration for my husband and I. I recently ate at this location for a birthday and Mother's Day. I enjoyed my meals on both occasions. The first time, I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were fine (I wanted more decadent sweetness). On the most recent trip, I had the miso glazed salmon - the fish was great, but the rice was dry. For food, I just ordered a small plate of taquitos because I was saving my appetite for cheesecake. These were quite tasty and actually had 6 on the plate...would be a good appetizer to share and was pretty filling as a main. The girls had tune poke (gigantic!) and avocado toast. For dessert I had the cinnabon cheesecake...my gave and is not offered in every CF location. We also had a cookie dough cheesecake which was good, but not as awesome as the cinnabon. Even though this is a chain, I give the food here a solid 4. What knocked my review down a star or two is the sorry state of the ladies room. I give them a 2 because of the manager that tried. My family decided to sit outside which was very nice with outdoor heating. Our server had us waiting 30 min to get to us til brunch was over at 2:09pm. He honored the brunch and he also brought me this hot water tea kettle. I poured the water and something made me look good at the handle of the pot. Then I opened it and THIS whatever it was was served to me and my family as tea witha tea bash, honey and lemon. I ordered the chicken with waffles which I found to be actually really good. I thought the waffles were a good texture, while the chicken on top had a nice crunchiness and airiness to it. Seated for dinner on a Saturday night and nearly 20 mins later was still not acknowledged by a server. I aproached the hosts that were really friendly and they finally asked a server to see us. Server then apologizes and says she will serve us since she has no idea where our assigned server is. I always observe attentively and noticed that this waitress is then serving the table to our left, right, in front and diagonal to our table and yet we are the only table in the middle of the section that she is supposedly not assigned to?
