I frequent here often since I don't live too far, but recently I haven't been feeling the quality from them that I am used to. Normally, I'll select the Steak Diane, but my goal is to stay away from red meat unless I'm at a steak house. I also really love the Chicken Madera (they have a combo with the Steak Diane). Recently, I tried the Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken that comes with green beans and mash; I was disappointed to say the least. It comes with three pieces of chicken and one of them was burnt and over cooked; i requested no greens and they put asparagus on my plate. I also asked for mash potatoes and they literally gave me the scrappings of the leftover mash in the pan, there were dried out clumps of the mash that had changed color (indicating they had been there all day and/or were just scraps that were left). My waiter came over and literally told me "this is the last bit of mash we have, I was upset, but I ate the two edible pieces of chicken. I was told my request for potatoes could not be accommodated because they were closing soon. I asked for another drink, but couldn't get it, since the waiter did not let me know when it was last call. I only live 7 mins away so I would love to give them another chance, but I think I prefer the Jersey City location. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars. There's not many good options at malls but Cheesecake Factory is usually a safe choice since there's such a big menu. Their menu is so big that it's hard to choose. I usually order the Louisiana Pasta (crispy chicken with Cajun sauce over bowtie pasta) but decided to try the Spicy Chipotle Chicken Pasta (honey glazed chicken over penne pasta). My mom got the steak tacos. The lunch portion is good since I find the regular portion very large here. The complimentary bread is the best, especially the pumpernickel bread. The bread is warm and fresh. The Spicy Chipotle Chicken Pasta was okay, still think the Louisiana Pasta is better. The steak tacos were delicious. Service is a hit or miss here, I understand it's very busy at lunch time. However, service can be rather slow. Also, the host always says 5 minute wait to everyone for a table. You end up waiting more like 15-20 minutes. In the end, I still come here since there's more food choices and my mom really likes the bread. read more

We went back to the Cheesecake Factory at the Riverside Square Hackensack location and what a difference! I was skeptical at first because I ordered a drink with a twist of lime and the bartender put lemon in it but that was the worst thing that happened. We had the crab and artichoke appetizer and the chicken potstickers for appetizer and both came out great. We both had the hibachi steak dinner and both were delicious. They can't seem to handle the Saturday evening rush. The line was out the door and the personnel up front were rude and stressed. The complementary bread is really good. I got the ahi tartare which was really good. A bit small for its price. My friend got the farfalle with chicken and roasted garlic. The chicken and mushrooms in the pasta were amazing. We also got a hot chocolate and a vanilla bean cheesecake. The hot chocolate was subpar but a decent size. The cheesecake was to die for. I opted to come here after a very long hiatus - and didn't even realize they moved locations within the same mall square. My friend had recently mentioned the Cheesecake Factory and I decided I needed me some oversized portions for a good price. I was seated immediately and my server was a little slow but nice nonetheless. I knew exactly what I wanted due to my extensive research during work hours- shhh. Anyways I ordered the chicken Riesling dish- but customized it with crispy chicken instead of that grilled nonsense. It added the perfect texture against the rich and creamy mushrooms and bacon with buttered pasta. It lacked a little seasoning but I was able to counteract that with the salt and pepper provided on the tables. I was extremely satisfied with my choice so I decided to try dessert as well. I have been craving carrot cake for a while now so that's what I went it. The cake itself was moist and tender, the cream cheese filling was pleasant. All in all it was a very good dinner. read more

Second time I've gone in 3 months and just a horrible through and through experience. Bad service-host girls let us stand there for 2 minutes without acknowledging. Waiter was missing and smelled like weed and cigarettes. Food- I was told they didn't have the chicken Parmesan but they had all other chicken choices,... which means they are premaking food. My chicken Alfredo fettuccine was salty and they used boiled not grilled chicken. Drink- a simple margarita was warm in ice which means it poured into the cup and not made. It tasted horrendous and salty. I had to find my waiter to get my bill to leave. You can't blame supply chain, you can't blame labor shortage and you cant blame inflation. Stopped at the Cheesecake Factory in Hackensack, N.J. today with my daugter. We arrived at the front door at precisely 11 AM, their opening time. Also standing at the front door, appeared to be approximately 10 trainees and their orientor. When I tried the front door, the orientor said, "We do not open until 11." I replied, "It is 11." She then stated, "Well, I don't know!" I thought, wow! What an odd comment! It was then the door was unlocked by another employee. The orientor then proceeded to get in front of us and go through the door with her trainees. Again, wow! I would think that as a trainor/orientor to new employees, you would show some manners to your customers. I'm rating this based on my last weeks experience sitting at the bar which I do several times a month. I sat and acknowledged that bartenders ignored me several times until I asked one of them for my drink. I've never been waited by these bartenders before. I ordered my Long Island iced tea and it tasted like lemonade even when I asked light on the sour mix/lime juice. My friend finally sat down from parking the car and ordered the wings and they were overcooked. While eating our wings bartenders complaining and throwing the f bomb without any care. At this point we decided not to get another round of drinks or dinner. I was dining at this location on January 2nd, 2023 in the evening. First, they never texted us to let us know our table was ready. We waiting nearly an hour just to get seated. After getting seated, the table was a mess, the floor was sticky full of napkins. My daughter ordered a steak which when it came, didn't come with a steak knife. It took them a while to deliver us a steak knife. There were other minor things, that I'm not going to mention because the place was busy. Still doesn't excuse them giving poor service. My main issue with this experience was that after all this, I still left a tip of $10. There was no way I was going to give a 15% or 18% tip. My bill was $192.78. The total including the tip, was $202.78. A few days past and my wife checked her Credit card statement, and noticed that the restaurant charged her credit card an additional $17.22 on top of the tip. Which brought the total balance to $220. I called them numerous times to get this matter resolve and I got the run around. I spoke to a Johnathan which he didn't bother to reassured me that this will not happen again nor offer to win back my loyalty to their establishment. I also called their corporate office to report this location and I didn't get a good response nor a call back either. I suspect that this is happening to other customers. Came here for a late dinner. And surprisingly it was a short 15 minute wait, which for this place is fairly good. We were seated and ordered the pork belly sliders for an appetizer. They were bomb!!! The slider is in a Hawaiian style bun with sweet Cole slaw sitting atop of the pork belly. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and very tender. Definitely a great new addition to their menu. I had ordered the crusted chicken romano. The food was served hot. The chicken was breaded and crisp and served with a good helping of pasta in a red sauce. It was delicious.
