1-Star Review - Very Disappointing Graduation Celebration I am extremely disappointed with our experience at The Cheesecake Factory in Rancho Cucamonga/Victoria Gardens on August 29, 2026. We brought a party of 31 family members to celebrate my granddaughter's graduation. Because the restaurant would not take a reservation for our large group, my 26-year-old granddaughter went nearly two hours early to put our name in. We were told we would be seated around 5:00 p.m., but when 5:00 came, we were told servers would not be available until 5:30. We were left waiting outside in extreme heat. What makes this particularly concerning is that we had several elderly family members with us, including my parents, who are in their 90s. This was during an extreme heat wave, when people were being advised to stay indoors and remain hydrated. When we were finally seated, we were placed OUTSIDE in the heat. We were not even provided water initially. Once our server arrived, he was pleasant and told us he would keep the water coming. However, with 31 people sitting outside in extreme heat, the glasses were empty almost immediately. We asked if we could have a couple of pitchers of water left at the tables so people could keep themselves hydrated. We were told no because the server would "get in trouble." Then the flys arrived. There were so many flys around our tables that they were landing on our food, plates and drinks. We actually had to request takeout containers just to cover our food from the flys. Several family members had to repeatedly go inside the restaurant to get out of the heat. This was supposed to be a special graduation celebration. Instead, our elderly family members and the rest of our family were exhausted, overheated and frustrated. Unfortunately, the problems continued when it came time to pay. We had specifically arranged for FOUR separate checks. The server initially told us he could only do three and needed management approval for four. We were eventually given four checks. I personally explained to the server which family belonged on each check, and he assured me he understood. The checks were still entered incorrectly. When my daughter politely asked the server to move her order to the correct check, he responded loudly: "This is why we don't do separate checks." That was completely unnecessary and inappropriate, especially after everything our family had already experienced that evening. I had to leave before the check issue was resolved, so I left money with my daughter to pay my portion. I was later told that the server told my daughter that I had "walked out on my bill." I absolutely did not. I had left money specifically to pay my portion. After returning home, I called the restaurant around 9:15 p.m. and spoke with Victoria, a senior manager. I explained everything and was told that the General Manager, Chris Rouch, would be in the next morning and that a message would be left for him to call me. I never received that call. I called again and eventually spoke with Brandon Ferguson, who was the manager on duty and had been present on August 29. I explained the entire situation again. Brandon acknowledged that we could have had more than three checks, contrary to what our server had told us. After spending approximately $1,000 or more for this celebration, the resolution offered was a $50 gift card. I also questioned the automatic gratuity that was added to our checks and asked how it was calculated, particularly because it appeared to include the sales tax. I was told this was a corporate matter. I have attempted to resolve this directly with the restaurant, but unfortunately I have not received a response from corporate management. I have also found it extremely difficult to contact anyone at corporate, as the company does not provide a corporate email address where a customer can directly submit a detailed complaint. I am posting this review because customers deserve to know about our experience. I am not expecting perfection from a restaurant. Mistakes happen. What I expected was reasonable consideration for a large family celebrating a very important occasion--especially when elderly guests were involved. The combination of extreme heat, inadequate access to water, flys landing on our food and drinks, the problems with our checks, the inappropriate comment from the server, and the lack of meaningful follow-up from management made this one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences our family has had. We chose The Cheesecake Factory because we wanted our granddaughter's graduation celebration to be special. Unfortunately, it is a night our family will remember for all the wrong reasons. I visited this location last week with a friend. We got a booth that is within earshot of the kitchen clamor. We usually find ourselves seated in this area, but we love coming to this location, so I don't mind. I have no qualms with the service, or the food, but I would like to mention that last week, and two other occasions - I've heard shouting/screaming coming from the kitchen. And I don't mean in the "it's so loud in here I can't hear myself think, so I'll raise my voice" kind of way. It was literally a man shouting in what could be described as angry tones. Now I didn't know what's going on or why it was happening, and I usually mind my own business. But on the other two occassions where I did nothing, the most recent time I was curious. I did a small pass-by towards the restroom and I saw this Asian man with glasses who I suppose is one of the chefs/cooks. Whether his shouting was justified or not, I don't really expect Cheesecake Factory to be Hell's Kitchen. It gave me and my friend bad vibes knowing he was screaming at the people making our food. There's got to be a better way to make that environment feel safe and less toxic and still serve the great dishes we had. If it was a one-off, I'd chalk it up to him being extra diligent about food quality, but to hear it on three separate times I've dined in (not all the time), and the tone he takes is disrespectful of your fellow employees and personally, if it was me being talked to that way, I would have brought it to my HR - no matter how good a cook he was. Just needed to let you know that this was happening in your location, if you weren't already aware. Or if you were, something should be done to make the environment better for employees and your patrons like me who have been unwittingly subjected to a tirade. I had only been to this location once before, and that was over a decade ago. My husband chose it for a date night, so decided to give it another try. I'll start by saying this place is incredibly busy. There are people everywhere, from the number of employees working to the number of guests dining. Having the cheesecake shop right at the entrance also creates a bottleneck and makes the entry area feel crowded. We checked in and were told there would be a 30-minute wait. We received a text within that timeframe, but when we went inside and told the host our table was ready, we were informed that the text was actually just to bring us inside while they prepared the table. I found that a bit odd. We ended up waiting near the host stand for a while, and after I asked how much longer it would be, we were seated about three minutes later. The seating arrangement was probably my biggest complaint. The tables are extremely close together, making it feel cramped and uncomfortable. The party next to us was only a couple of feet away, and I had to be careful not to bump into their table or plates when walking to the restroom. Service times were a little slow. My husband's Sprite arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, and my glass of wine took around 20 minutes. Our food arrived approximately 35-40 minutes after we were seated. That said, the food was excellent. I ordered the Cajun salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. I also have to mention the menu, it's practically a book! I can see why people take so long deciding what to order because there are pages and pages of options. Personally, I found the selection a bit overwhelming. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive throughout the meal. When my food was delivered, the server explained they had run out of sweet potatoes and were making more because my portion was smaller than normal. She said they would bring me the rest once they were ready, but unfortunately, they never arrived. I ordered a Riesling, which was crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the salmon. Decided to visit with my dad on a Thursday night. We walked in and inquired the wait time. We were informed 15 min., we ended up waiting about 30 min., we understand things happen. We finally get called and the host places at a tiny little table awkwardly close to a couple having a date. It was less than an arm length from them. The other side of us is the same closeness and a large family. Me and dad looked at each other and decided to leave and we just couldn't do it as dad was breathing in this gentleman's cologne we were so close. We came here for brunch and were actually surprised it wasn't that busy. Usually there's a wait that can go over an hour, so we've sat at the bar before since it's first come first served. This time we were greeted and seated pretty quickly and decided to grab a booth, which was a nice change. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. For food, we tried the chilaquiles verdes with chicken and eggs. I usually order my eggs over medium, and they came out just right, which I appreciated. We also ordered the steak and eggs, which were solid, and the French toast. I have to say, the French toast is more on the dessert side. It's fluffy, buttery, and really good. Definitely something to share or go for if you're craving something sweet. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, and you can absolutely taste the difference. So refreshing and worth ordering. It's been 3 years since I been to the Cheesecake Factory I decided to go for a date night being that it's not far from the Amc theater that I was going to, my first server, she was excellent, however she went on break and we had this guy ( Grant W )that I felt was rude. Allow me to elaborate so after having appetizers I was full & didn't eat my main dish I asked for a container, he brings it to me then asked if I wanted the dessert menu I said no he asked are you sure I said yes I am sure. He leaves and comes back with the check and says I brought the dessert menu anyway because this is the cheesecake factory, the way I looked at him like who are you talking too. He proceeds to say I know that when I usually get home, I want something sweet to eat. And I said you didn't have gastric bypass surgery so sugars don't make you throw up or worse, he apologizes and leaves, I didn't let him ruin my night. Its been a while since I had been to Cheesecake Factory and this location in Rancho Cucamonga is one of my fave spots to go! Went here with 2 amazing friends and, of course, immediately got great service from the staff. We got seated fairly quickly and our server was super helpful and accommodating. I ordered my usual rib eye steak (pictured) and had it cooked perfectly to a medium. So delicious and tender, the flavor profile was the perfect way to spend the evening dinner. As always, the buzz in this location is always cookin w local shops and people enjoying the early sunset evening. It felt like I was in Hawaii or some other tropical place. Great job CF! Went for appetizers and drinks we ordered the poke nachos, pepperoni pizza with hot honey, meatball sliders and chicken tenders. Poke nachos needed a little more fish the ratio was a little off we had too many chips but the flavor was there the Thai chilis are a special touch. The pizza was actually really good the dough was well seasoned and perfectly crunchy and chewy. I'm not usually a tender kind of girl but they were lightly breaded and juicy. The marinada sauce on the sliders tasted like it was just made. Our drinks were great as well as service. We ended up getting the banana cream pie cheesecake and it was so light, creamy and perfectly balance with a little salt in the crust. It was served with fresh bananas. The place was very loud because there were so many people inside and it was kind of overwhelming. The food was okay, I got the egg roll sampler and their breakfast burrito. After eating we were heading home and I was starting to get real sick. I was sweating and feeling nauseous. We had to pull over so that I could vomit on the side of the road. Went to The Cheesecake Factory for an early dinner with my sister, and unfortunately had a very strange experience. I ordered the large Thai chicken lettuce wraps, and my sister ordered the herb crusted salmon. We waited about 15 minutes before our waitress came over and told us she had accidentally put in a small size instead of the large, so we would have to wait a few more minutes for them to make additional chicken. We told her it was completely fine and that we didn't mind waiting. She gave us two side soups because of the inconvenience, which was appreciated. She then asked my sister if she wanted her food brought out first so it wouldn't have to sit and wait for my order. My sister said yes. I ended up waiting another 25 minutes for my food while my sister was already halfway through her meal and was trying to eat slowly so we could eat together. When my food finally came out, the chicken looked good, so I started assembling my lettuce wraps. As soon as I put the chicken into one, it rolled over and I realized it was completely burnt. I checked the other pieces, and most of them were burnt as well. I let the waitress know and she took the plate back, but there was no apology or explanation. At that point, I had already waited a very long time and ended up not eating anything at all. I just went home. I understand that mistakes happen, and we were genuinely very understanding about the initial mistake with the order. Dined on October 8, 2025 while shopping at Victoria Gardens. I am always amazed at how big this place is. So much seating and a large bar area. SERVICE: Today was great. I have to say this perhaps one of the best Cheesecake factories I have ever been to. I came in during a busy lunch rush, restaurant was full, but the service did not diminish! The inside is the same as another other Cheesecake Factory, same design with its beige color and brown. They still have the cheesecakes up front for you to order to go. So the food did take a little while to come but understand because it was a full house, people were waiting, and it was just a busy time. Our server made sure that we had enough bread and kept our drinks refilled while we waited for our food. I've never seen such an attentive server at a Cheesecake Factory before. When our food came, it came out perfectly. I got the steak and asked for medium well and it came out medium well. It was very tender and delicious and wasn't dry or over cooked. Parking for this place is plenty, I didn't have a problem but you do have to park pretty far out as there are multiple lots and the lots are pretty big. Which my wife ordered and enjoyed. Even though Desiree was busy, she managed to check on us several times and our water glasses were never empty! Our food was very hot, fresh and ample portions. Because it was a large party, they required at least 9 people to be present before seating us--which I understand--but it did take a while overall. We waited awhile for everyone to arrive and check in, and then still waited roughly another 30 minutes before we were seated. Service ended up being a positive part of the experience. Our first waitress, Kelly, was filling in temporarily and was friendly while taking drink orders. Our actual waitress, Paulette, was very engaging, attentive, and pleasant--no complaints at all once she took over. Food was solid across the table. Our group ordered a wide variety of items including pastas, flatbread, breakfast dishes, and lunch options. No one complained about their meals, so I'm assuming everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Absolutely unacceptable experience. We waited over 1.5 hours to be seated, only to find out the host had mistakenly put our party of 8 down for an outdoor table instead of indoors. Mind you, if we had requested an outdoor table we would've been sat immediately due to hot weather. When we asked how they could fix the mistake, we were offered a table for 2 which is not a valid solution for 8 people. Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite chain restaurants. It has so many options that you could never get bored. Our visit provided an excellent dining experience! The service was fantastic, and our waitress, Morgan, was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. The meal started with their signature breads, which were fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious--such a great way to begin! We also ordered the avocado egg rolls, my all-time favorite, and they did not disappoint. Perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. Yum!
