Never again. Ordered a BOGO fettuccini Alfredo for pickup through uber eats as part of their promo, also ordered a cheeseburger. I show up a minute or two after placing the order online and kindly ask the red head midget behind the counter if she can charge me to add chicken to one of the 2 fettuccini orders and I'll just pay cash for it, as everything else had already been paid for through ubereats. She goes to me "I don't think I can do that". I just sat there looking at her for a second, thinking to myself she can't be serious right? It had been a long day at work and it was close to closing time for these guys so I just asked her if she can charge me for a side of some chicken to use for one of the pastas, she goes and charges me $10. $10 to add chicken to a pasta order?? Avoid the Chipper Truck if possible. I ordered food to stay with my family. What a mistake... I ordered chicken curry and I while I was somewhat disappointed by the congealed state of the curry, I was actually unable to eat the rice. It tasted either old or uncooked, either way the rice was not soft and I skipped eating the rice. I felt sick from eating the food the next day, so I probably should have skipped eating the chicken as well. The Chipper Truck also engages in deceptive pricing. They will charge your credit card first and then give you a receipt. Unfortunately, they will charge extra for lettuce and tomatoes on a sandwich, which might be understandable except my wife did not ask for the lettuce or tomatoes. Then let's get to the decor. With the name of chipper truck you might think, okay maybe a few pictures on the wall might bring an Irish man or Irish American to feel like they're back in Ireland - perhaps a picture of Temple Bar or audle fellah working a flute. Nothing of the sort. Instead the dining room is graced with packed up boxes - boxes which by the way leave nothing to the imagination. The chicken is all frozen and not fresh. I'm a regular at the truck and tell countless people about it which have all come to love it as much as I do so when the cafe opened I was really excited that I can get food 24/7. My hubby and I came here about 10:30pm on a Saturday. The red headed woman that treated us was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The first thing I noticed was a really bad smell. Very musty and overwhelming. We ordered our usual bacon cheese burgers with fries with garlic mayo. The burger wasn't as good as the truck but the fries were amazing, as always. The garlic mayo is so delicious. I won't say I won't be back because the garlic mayo fries are to die for but I prefer the truck. The last three times I ordered from here they messed up my order, whenever I called to tell them the girl had a disgusting attitude and told me it wasn't their fault and she wasn't going to do anything about it. This last time I got chicken tenders and there was literally no chicken in them. Just hard lumps of dry hard batter with a shred of what seemed like dog jerky treat, I nearly broke a tooth and dislocated my jaw biting into the nasty thing. How do you even mess up chicken fingers? Hmm... this place advertises itself on the quality of its French fries, and then has terrible French fries... how can this be??? They were soggy, too thick, and generally sad. The fries were soggy and covered in oil. My chicken sandwich was soaked in oil I can still taste the old filthy oil. My husband got food poisoning and was sick for 2 days after eating here. Wow, this place is bad. The food is mediocre. They mess up your order and instead of apologizing and getting it right, they send you whatever they feel like without consulting you. So you end up with something you don't eat. The attitude is disgusting. They don't even apologize when they've messed up. If you're not there, they totally screw you on portion size. Ordered from Uber eats. The boxty was really good and the beer battered burger was huge and delicious. Even the cole slaw was homemade. Food was quick and arrived hot. There were no condiments or forks in the bag.....just one napkin. I enjoyed it completely. Nowhere near as good as the truck. The chips are always soggy even when you ask for them to be well done. I've asked them to literally burn the fries before and they still come out the same soggy gross consistency. I always end up cooking them again at home. So i keep seeing this popping up on grubhub, uber eats etc. So i decided to try them out. Placed my order at 2am, food got to be via ubereats at 3.04am. Driver took 10mins to get to me. I ordered the basics. Grilled cheese, waffles n chicken and curly fries. Took them well over 40mins to make it before the driver went to pick it up. When i place my order, i wrote a note to please give me dark meat instead of breasts for the chicken. My waffles and chicken came with basically chicken tender breasts cut into lil pieces. The grilled cheese was pathetic, very pathetic. The curly fries was very soggy and gross. So i spent $30 and waited over an hour just to throw all that food in the garbage. The oil they fried everything in tasted so old, it tasted disgusting. If you looking for waffles and chicken, hands down the best ones are at Paxos Grill. I am under the assumption that because they are the only 24hrs place opened besides mcdonalds, they make whatever and send it to customers for a quick buck. I am surprised that people even eat and order from this place. I would give this place a solid A. Not for A-mazing but for A-verage. This place is on next to an intersection of a highway and busy road and they are missing something. They don't have much flare or look that would make most go back. The counter worker was nice but that's it, nothing jumped out at all.
