Stopped in for a bite of lunch with a colleague. Have to say every part of my experience was a yuck! Waited to be acknowledged after entering.... finally just seated ourselves. I ordered chopped salad lunch and my friend ordered a simple chicken dish. It took FOREVER for our simple meals n to arrive. My salad was not only not worth the wait, it was the most terrible salad I've ever been served! Only several small bits of blue cheese, bacon bits were hardly recognizable. The atmosphere was very nice, staff was wonderful. We had Kelly. The food was sub par. I had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and refrigerated. We started coming here a couple years ago and was our favorite places to visit, however, here as of late the quality and service have drastically changed. We always get a good meal when we come to this restaurant. When you first walk in the door they have all their different cuts of steaks to look at, they have a lot of choices. The inside of the restaurant has beautiful views and a nice bar area. The service was really good. To start with I have a nice house salad with cheddar cheese and bacon served with warm bread and butter. For my entrée I had a 10 ounce ribeye cooked medium rare which was seasoned just right, It came with a jumbo sweet potato. For dessert I had chocolate mousse cake which was really big and had Oreo cookie crumbs on the bottom with chocolate mousse in the middle and real whip cream for the topping, very good. I got the 1/2 Philly Steak sandwich with onion rings (only four rings but they were HUGE and perfectly cooked) with a side chop salad that was just ok. All for $12 with their lunch menu. First the positives-- Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant was clean and out 7:15 reservation got us seated on time. We started off with the calamari and shrimp appetizer. The calamari was unremarkable according to my husband but the shrimp and strips of fried red pepper were excellent. I loved the cocktail sauce that was heavy on the horseradish. My husband's chicken tortilla soup was also unremarkable until chewed a chunk of lime that must have been a garnish that submarines to the bottom of the bowl. I had the salad with champagne vinaigrette but it turned out to be straight vinegar that was so strong it almost took my breath. Our server brought a new salad with a bland ranch dressing but it was fine. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. My husband got a filet and potato. He said it was melt in your mouth tender but a little under seasoned. I had a sirloin that chewy, dry and totally unseasoned. I put most of it in a box for the dog. The food is even better we first had some warm bread to go with our house salad with cherry tomatoes cheddar cheese bacon bits cucumber and rice noodles great then came the cook to perfection 6oz filet mignon with your choice of side we had bake potato and sweet potato with all the toppings the filet you could cut like butter. Then to finish it off we got a large serving of Carmel fudge cake with ice cream delicious .The waiters are great and keep your drinks filled. Passing through and this area is our 1/2 way point. We somehow ended up on the back side of the building. Went up the stairs to enter. Sign says to check with bartender for seating. Bartender asks us what she could help us with- we said Lunch. She got on the phone & then took us around the corner to a booth. We were quickly addressed by our server for a drink order. When she returned she told us the soups & fish of the day. Daughter ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. We forgot to take pictures because we were hot, thirsty,hungry & tired from traveling. . We both got house salads with ranch. I switched the Mac n cheese for regular fries. My daughters chicken sandwich was huge and she liked the taste only the chicken was very dry. I did not eat mine like a sandwich, rather just ate the prime rib part only. Very tender and flavorful. Had a good bit of fat, gristle and tendons in it. The au jus was great. The fries were just ok, the more I ate them the less I liked them. Getting the prime rib sandwich is a much less expensive way to get the prime rib, especially if you're like me & really don't eat a large portion of it anyway. The ranch was really nice. Didn't taste bottled. Was not watered down & had a creamy texture. The house salad was a nice mixture of stuff & not just lettuce with a tomato on it. We enjoyed the crusty warm bread with honey butter as well. The sweet tea was BOMB! I think we both sucked down 4 glasses each before our entree came. It was amazing, flavor so good I hope it haunts my dreams. For dinner my wife ordered the filet mignon, it was very tender and cooked to perfection. I ordered the 16oz Prime Rib cooked medium well. All I can say is WOW! This was the most tender Prime Rib I have ever had. The meat literally melted in my mouth. The staff was very friendly and quick to keep checking on us. My wife and I were looking forward to a enjoying a nice steak dinner to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday; we should have gone to Ruth's Chris or even Outback! We ordered two filet mignons, one medium (warm pink center) and the other medium rare. Both dinners came out the same time. My wife's medium was well done; the server returned it, my medium rare was cooked OK. I was half done with my dinner when the manager brought out another steak for my wife, this time it was undercooked and came out rare. By now I finished my dinner and was still waiting for my wife to get her steak. On the third try, the steak was close to what my wife ordered. I should also add that my steak was not choice or prime that I could tell as it did have gristle that I removed. The server Matt was very apologetic and we had no issues with his service. When the bill came, the manager had taken off the price for my wife's dinner but we were charged for my dinner (that I ate while waiting for my wife's steak) and a corkage fee for the fine bottle of wine we brought to "celebrate" our two events. They even charged us for side of béarnaise sauce that my wife ordered with her steak. A classy restaurant would have waived the entire bill. The Chop House is not what one would call a classy restaurant if that is your expectation. read more

The exterior made me think it was like a Sizzler, but when I entered it was a very nice and pricey place. Looking for a place for lunch after completing a tasting at a nearby distillery. The bartender actual recommended it. Great meal and great service! I had the deviled eggs which were very yummy but could have been a bit more flavorful. My main dish was the Chopped Salad It was well made, ingredients were fresh and very tasty Truly enjoyed every bite. The warm bread that was served was an added treat. Went to the Chop House Friday night and was actually able to get in without a reservation or a wait! Mind gosh it was 5:00 pm but I considered it a small triumph being a local this is not normally the case. My husband and I love the Chop House and several times when we got the impulse to come it was either more than an hour wait or NO Availability. Sometimes we would be able to get in but they had no crab cakes which are our #1 favorite appetizer. The service was wonderful and prompt! The ONLY downside was my rib eye was medium and not medium rare which was a bummer. This was the first time we went here. Had got a few suggestions last time we where in town and finally decided to stop in. Hands down AMAZING the staff was nice and friendly. The food from the salad I had was the best I've had loved the house made dressing and the soup my girlfriend had was also amazing and fresh made.
