It's an " okay " steak house. What was good? The STEAK, I ordered the filet mignon(medium rare), it was a juicy, melt in your mouth, flavour explosion! The service was quick and the servers were very friendly. The bread. What was bad? The vegetables. I ordered a side of broccoli to opt for a healthier side, but unfortunately it tasted like it was made in dirty dish water, but the steak made up for it. Would I recommend going here? We stopped in here on our way home. This place is right off the interstate and easy to find. The atmosphere is really nice - upscale but clearly it's ok if you're looking for a a casual dining experience. Service was really friendly and very fast (the bartender was waiting on us). We sat outside on their small deck which had a great view and a nice breeze. We started with the corn tamale cakes. Holy flavor bomb, Batman, these were fantastic! Fresh pico, avocado, and chipotle sauce on top was perfect to balance the sweet, moist (yes, I said it, but it's in reference to a bread product so it's OK) corn tamale muffin. This could easily be someone's meal and especially if they wanted a delicious and fresh vegetarian option. We split a small caesar salad which was fresh and delicious. They make their own dressing and it was fantastic! I got the Cuban sandwich with fries and my husband got the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both sandwiches were huge and came with a huge pile of fries. The Cuban was delicious, the only feedback I would give is that the ham should be a thinner cut on a Cuban. It's not supposed to be country style ham. The flavor was not missing on this sandwich though. The fries?? I'm not at all mad about those fries (both regular and sweet potato). Both were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect and what I would expect from a chop house style meal. The chicken sandwich was juicy and also had great flavor. They butterflied the breast which is the best way to cook it really. Evenly done, and as I said, still juicy with some good grilling char around the edges. The smoked cheese and bacon on top was an excellent add. We travel to this area frequently so this will definitely be a stop on our list from now on! read more

This is a nice place. Great ambiance. In the wintertime they have fireplaces going. There aren't a lot of healthy options for vegetarians on the menu but, they've always been happy to custom make a salad. My family and, friends have always enjoyed their meals. The service has always been good. They are a bit pricey. It would be nice, for that kind of money, to see some healthy food options and, more variety for salads. All the same, for the area, I'd recommend it to anyone. read more

Stopped here after a long hike at Seven Island's Birding Park with the pup. I got a table on the patio to continue my chill Sunday vibe and ordered the juicy burger and refreshing adult beverage I was craving, and got just that. My server Devan was super sweet, took care of me and made me a killer white peach/mango sangria. I am a super picky eater and require lots of different sauces etc and when I got my meal everything I asked for was there. All the staff that came by to say hi to my fur-baby were really nice too and even the manager Ricky came by to make sure everything was going well with my visit. Wife's choice for her birthday dinner. Made reservation for booth and was seated in about 5 minutes after we arrived. No problems until after we ordered. Waitress was friendly and working several tables. Ordered appetizer which came out but we had no napkins or silverware. Manager strolled by and asked if everything was ok and I told him we didn't have any napkins or utensils. He brought back napkins but no utensils. Managed to finish our appetizer when they brought out our meal. Wife had ordered a salad but never received it. Instead her sides were not what she ordered. Still no utensils and asked waitress who brought some back now around 10 minutes after getting our food. At this point it was not very warm but we ate it anyway. Waitress did manage to correct one of my wife's side dishes but never got her salad. Noticed the manager talking to other tables around us and even walked by us twice but never asked us if things were ok or even looked at us. Apparently if you ask the manager for an item that is missing they ignore you after that. All in all a very poor experience from this location that I pass by every night heading home from the hospital. So much for a stellar birthday dinner for my wife to the tune of around $130. Hadn't been here in 8-12 months and not sure we will go back nor recommend anyone else go here. read more

A few coworkers and I stopped by here on our annual trip through town. Past experiences have all been 5 stars, this trip was some of the worst food I have had at a steakhouse. We ordered several appetizers, the seared Ahi tuna, the drumsticks, and the cheese sticks. The Ahi was still partially frozen in the center and the drumsticks were bland. When we ordered entrées they were out of the chop house pork chops, the thing the restaurant is named after. Two coworkers had to send their steaks back for being over cooked, I had the prime rib and the flavor was good, it was about the quality of meat you would expect from a steakhouse buffet not from an actual steakhouse. read more

Excellent customer service, delicious well presented food. My husband loved his ribs and baked sweet potato. He was glad he had chosen the 6 ribs rather than the larger since the potato was large and the warm cinnamon apples were the topper. BBQ sauce was thick and yummy. My sirloin burger with blue cheese and bacon was also great. The manager came by each table to visit and make sure all was well. We are staying at a nearby hotel and they recommended The Chop House for our dinner. We called in our order without any troubles. We drove over and it was ready on time. We were told to go back to the bar area to pick up our food. We did, it was fairly crowded but their were two bartenders. We stood next to the bar area and were completely ignored by the bartenders, no eye contact whatsoever. Very rude when we finally got their attention. No eye contact even when paying. I had heard so much about The Chop House that I couldn't wait to eat there. Late night, by myself, had to grab a bite....I gave them 3 stars. 1 for ambiance, and then 1 for each of the two sisters, K1 & K2, staff there that were very nice, and conversed with me after I finished my meal. Rated against just any other steakhouse, I might have rated it higher. However, against its reputation, 1 for the food vs. cost, is all I can muster. Steak was like any other $9.00 steak from any other every day steakhouse, problem was, was that it cost me $20.00. Taste was average, presentation was average, but again, against its own reputation, I'd have to say that $30 for meal and tip for myself was about 2x's too much. I have always enjoyed the food here, but getting seated was a mess on this occasion. Called ahead for a table for me and my elderly parents at 6:45. Was told no problem. Arrived and was still waiting at 7:05 and parents started losing their stamina waiting in the lobby. Staff were very nice but clearly disappointed here. Would have chosen another place if not for this promise. This will be a mixed review as the bar service vs. the food service are at opposite ends. We had a wait for a table, so we went to the bar for a drink. There were 4 of us. Only one was pleased with the drink as served, and he specified the label to be used. Two ordered the Chophouse Old Fashioned as it had the same ingredients used at home. Those were sent back as they had so much ice they were watered down. So we ordered two Blue Moons. Both of us felt those were not good either. How a beer could seem watered down was puzzling. Our server wasn't very pleasant when we questioned the quality of the first drinks. The last member of our party had a Bloody Mary that was just average. On the other hand, the food was delicious. We all ordered different things, and we were all more than happy with our food and our server. She was attentive without hovering. The lamb chops were excellent, as was the strip steak, the medallions, and the bone in pork chop. we would go back for the food. read more

She asked the guy next to me (who had only just walked up) a few times if we were together before asking if I would like a drink. I asked for water and placed my takeaway order for "chopped Angus steak". She threw away my water when I went to the rest room and when I got to the car with my food I opened the containers to reveal 5 overcooked asparagus (which I was not notified was a $1 upcharge) and basically hamburger meat with other veggies. My husband booked the event (private) room for our Grandmother's 100th birthday celebration. We called a few times asking questions about decorating the room and the max number of people we could have (yes and up to 50). However, upon arrival, we were told that the room wasn't available (and hadn't been for a year). We told the manager we would set up the room and get it ready. He flat out refused, even after seeing a reservation confirmation text. He even said he spoke to his managing partner, and he conveyed they said no, as well. The excuse was that they didn't have the staff for the private room. It seems to me that our two waitresses could've waited on us no matter where we were sitting. Additionally, Chop House should make sure that all of their employees share the same information and are on the same page. If we had known all of this beforehand, we would've gone elsewhere. Chop House has been our go-to, but after this, I will not spend another dime with this company. The manager on duty, David, was rude and did nothing to smooth anything over. He even rolled his eyes at me during our conversation. I can't wait until the Cherokee Nation gets some new restaurants in Kodak. The Chop House only survives because it is currently the only sit-down restaurant option for upscale dining. read more

I have been staying at a hotel in the adjoining parking lot for 3 days on a business trip. I have eaten every meal thus far in this restaurant. The steak is decent, the appetizers are good, and the prices and service are outstanding. Their lunch offering is segmented between 8,9, and 10 dollar options. The portions on the large-obscene scale and all the food has been thoughtfully put together. They are also generous in their liquor/mixer cocktails ratios. I feel safe writing this review after two full days of dining here and am very much looking forward to the next three meals. read more

We were staying at Fairfield inn and walked across to Chop House because it was close. The meal was outstanding but the service is the reason for the 5 stars. Emily was attentive and friendly. When we had a small problem with our order (steak was a little on rare side) everyone stepped up to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. Salad was great! Bread was hard as a rock and I know chop house bread typically has a harder crust than most but this was rock hard!! Steaks were undercooked. Filet was literally burnt on the outside and bleeding in the middle and it was ordered medium. Ribeye was ordered medium well and it was under medium and his plate was covered in blood.
