Well, i stopped for a nice lunch with my Husband after being gone for 3 weeks in TX. My daughter was terribly ill in the hospital. Customer service, meh, restaurant not very clean. My husbands Rib Eye cooked wrong and over 50% fat. My meal only 1/3 correct my shrimp very good, asked for butter on the side for my sweet potato, it was soooo over cooked looked like puree , I asked for butter on the side, well they put about 1/4 cup of butter that made the potatoe ooze butter everywhere and also forgot my vegetable. No one checked on how our meal was, by the time they did I had eaten my shrimp. The server wasn't very helpful. I asked for a manager and got a child come out to speak to me, inexperienced on any level of defusing a situation only added fuel to the fire. Horrible experience!!!!!!!!! The Husband and I enjoyed our weekly date night here yesterday. It was our 1st time at this location and we both agreed it was the best dining experience we've had locally... literally Ever! Our server Ben was very nice and super attentive.. a little soft spoken and hard to hear but he did an amazing job nonetheless. We normally avoid local restaurants because they're always over crowded and the food lacking because of it, but this place exceeded our expectations. This will be our new regular spot for our date nights! I ordered the New York Strip and my husband had the 9oz Filet Minion and although My Steak was great and cooked perfectly, I was stealing his Filet off his plate (it's definitely what I'm going to order from now on) It literally melted in my mouth... We went here for our anniversary. We are very happy we made the decision. It was our first time here as we have only lived in East Tennessee for about a year and a half. We arrived at about 1:35 on a slow Sunday afternoon. We were seated in the half full restaurant after a 10 minute wait. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, but I was concerned when she didn't ask how I wanted my burger prepared. I took a chance and ordered medium rare, but like I expected my sandwich was over- cooked to medium well. (Many places won't serve medium rare burgers.) My wife ordered a sirloin steak, also medium rare, and also over-cooked to medium well. The meat did taste fresh however, and the bacon on my burger was good. Also in the plus column, the Caesar salad was good and the onion rings were excellent. I did have to ask twice for ketchup for my fries. Overall and based on only this one visit, I'd rate The Chop House a solid average. I wouldn't necessarily avoid coming here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it either. read more

Smoked salmon appetizer was good. Turns out the "L" in salmon is silent. Weird. I ordered the tacos and the missis ordered ribeye, blackened. The had the audacity to order Brussel sprouts. She also got what was billed as a skewer of jumbo shrimp. Shrimp was on a bed of pasta and the skewer was absent. Missis is gf allergic. They took the plate back and redid it all. No dessert. We were full. Ah- a salad was also ordered- Cesar made it and I like his dressing. A water and an unsweetened tea were the beverage of choice. With tip this was just under $100. Holy crap. When you consider that burgers and fries for two is $15-20 and come in a bag now- I suppose I'll go back for a special occasion. What a huge mistake it was going to eat here. I was very hungry out and about. My first choice for lunch was unexpectedly closed for some maintenance issue. I go to The Chop House to see what I can get. It's kind of Tennessee thing with some places in Georgia and Ohio. Inside it's very upscale, and just in the tourist area. That should have turned me away, but I was belly first that day. Anyway I get Voodoo chicken tacos from the 15 dollar lunch menu. The waitress suggested I stay away from cream corn brûlée that comes with it. I get a side salad with my tacos instead. The salad was the best part of the meal. The small Voodoo Taco's are a dollar store quality chicken nuggets with a weak hot sauce shoved in a cheap flour tortilla. This sad meal with dry bun, two beers, and tourists tax cost 37 bucks. When I walked out, I was thinking to myself I would have been better off going to Taco Bell. I want to give it a one, but it was nice inside so a two. read more

Nice white cheddar shells. The onion rings are my husband's favorite and these didn't disappoint. Not fond of the dip with it, but stuck with ketchup. We waited 10 minutes or less on our meal and had refills without asking. Only star removed because bathroom was a little sad. Stalls looked like they could use some upkeep and one of the towel dispensers wasn't working. Stop in again? Yes I would. First time at this location. Our server(I forget his name!) but was a young guy and was so so attentive. Even one of his co workers mentioned how amazing he was, which we agreed. Had a really nice lunch with a friend to catch up. I had the fried mozzarella which was very good! A side/house salad which was great. I added onions and those were not forgotten! They typically are missed when I ask at other places. And the lunch special sandwich which was a brisket Philly I believe it was called. It came with some Mayo horseradish sauce which was incredible. It also came with fries. All was amazing and they were packed on a Friday at 12. Great to see it so busy. But we did not wait for our food at all. What a beautiful place inside. The very best medium-rare prime rib sandwich with aus jus that my wife has ever had. The Mac-n-cheese was very tasty - also very rich so we didn't finish it. My grilled shrimp and crab cake appetizer (for my meal) was excellent. The shrimp were large and the herbed drawn butter to dip in was magnificent. We checked in with a busy but polite host station. Seated within 10-15 minutes. The atmosphere was nice and the space was extremely comfortable, clean, and well designed. Our server Tory provided the best experience we have had dining out in literally years. Also, the Kodak location has some incredible individuals like their Kitchen Manager Ricky. He has been working there since I was a little girl from dish washing, serving, hosting, cooking and the business side he understands it all! Went here while in Kodak. The fact that it was across from the hotel made it all that much better. I ordered the steak and Mac and cheese as well as the salad.. It was all so delicious. The steak was cooked exactly how I liked it and it was almost melting in our mouths. The Mac and cheese was creamy and you could tell that it was nothing like the boxed stuff. My daughter got the pizza and smiley fries. They were crispy, but very salty. I was under a slight misconception though when the waitress asked my daughter if she wanted fries, which meant I assumed they came with the pizza. They were not included and were a few dollars. My 6 year old didn't like her pizza and preferred to eat my food instead, which isn't odd for us but also not common with many 6 year olds I know. I took a few bites of her pizza and didn't find too much flavor in it. We took it as leftovers, but didn't eat it. The biggest downfall I had was with the dessert menu. I was told they had cheesecake and some other things like beignets. I jumped at those because they are my favorite. However, they were not what I thought. They were more like fried bread balls of something. I think of light and fluffy with powdered sugar, not some sort if cinnamon type crust. I was not impressed, but my daughter did like them for breakfast. Next time I'll ask to see the menu. I think our waitress was Debbie, (sorry! We were coming of a long trip. ) she was very nice! We went to the Harley store next door and had to get our bike serviced, so we walked to this restaurant to get some appetizers. We didn't realize it was a super fancy place, so we chose to sit in the bar area. They told us that all of the bar along with the tables in the bar are seat yourself. The bartender was super nice and kept our drinks filled. I felt so bad for her though, because there were so many people in the bar area. I have no clue how she waited on that many people. Now to the appetizers. We had the mozzarella wedges, spinach queso/chips, and the chicken pizza florentine. The mozzarella wedges were okay. Not anything to really brag about, but decent. The queso and chips were my favvvvv. The dip was creamy and had a great taste. The chips were just perfect too. The chicken pizza florentine was different, but in a good way. Had a bit of a kick to it because it did have jalapeños. It was a bit hard to cut and fell apart, but the taste was good! This would be a great place for date night. Or, if you are stuck at the Harley store for hours, it's literally right next door... so it's perfect to grab a few appetizers and a beer! read more

During our trip to Tennessee, we made the last-minute decision to eat out. The worst chain restaurant experience I've ever had, even though I am aware that it is one. Initially, our waiter jokingly tried to take our order in Spanish because he thought my party didn't speak English. The rest of my party felt the same way as me and were bewildered and taken aback. I had never felt so racially profiled in my whole life. The cuisine was poor, and the cuts had a strange taste and smell. Even for a franchise restaurant, the loaded baked potato was the poorest example of a potato. The sides were definitely pre-made. Not to mention the plastic wrapper that was found in the spinach. That I chewed and nearly swallowed. If you're visiting, I'd avoid this restaurant and instead eat somewhere else. We ate out practically every night, and this place was remarkably badly handled and really disappointing in terms of both cuisine and service. read more
